CHAPTER 64: CHAPTER 64: I DON’T MIND YOUR FLAWS
Marcus’s eyes were red, and his mouth was pouting.
Eleanor Hollis couldn’t bear to see him like this, but moving out was a certainty.
"Marcus, you’re still young, you don’t understand many things. If I don’t move out, it won’t be good for me."
She was trying to persuade the child, but tonight Marcus wasn’t listening to anything, and upon hearing she was leaving, he was in a state of agitation.
Hugo Quinn frowned tightly, finally standing up, "Whether you agree or not, there’s no room for discussion on this matter."
Marcus watched his back, big tears falling.
Hugo was a bit irritated. This child was truly something; when people are so eager to move away, why should he be reluctant?
Looking at Eleanor Hollis’s face, there wasn’t the slightest trace of nostalgia, truly heartless.
He went to his study, closed the door, and felt his heart blocked by something, incredibly uncomfortable.
He opened his work documents, and seeing the densely packed words, he felt even more restless.
Meanwhile, Eleanor was downstairs comforting Marcus, somewhat helpless.
"Marcus, stop crying, be good."
But Marcus had already stood up and ran upstairs, locking himself in his room.
Eleanor stood outside the door, knocking, but there was no response from inside.
Afraid the child might be hiding and crying quietly, she had to go find Hugo for the key.
"Mr. Quinn?"
She knocked on the study door, finding it slightly ajar, and lightly pushed it open.
"Mr. Quinn, where’s the key to your bedroom? Marcus ran into the bedroom and locked the door. I’m really worried about him and want to go inside and check."
She spoke while entering the study, but Hugo was nowhere in sight.
Eleanor smelled a hint of smoke and immediately went to the small balcony nearby.
This small balcony in the study had a good position; standing here, one could see the scenery below, and it faced the garden, perfect for relaxing one’s eyes after tiring work.
At this moment, Hugo was sitting in the balcony, holding a cigarette in his hand, with a glass of spicy brandy on the table.
"Mr. Quinn, where’s the key to your bedroom?"
Eleanor pushed open the glass door to the balcony, seeing him sitting there, she breathed a sigh of relief.
The cigarette between Hugo’s fingers was nearly burned out, and upon seeing her, his eyes flashed with a deep look, then he shook his fingers.
"It’s in my pocket, come and take it."
He seemed a bit drunk, his eyes carried a hint of confusion.
Eleanor slowly walked over, reaching out her hand, placing it before him.
Hugo looked down at the pale hand, his thin lips pressed together, and at last extinguished the cigarette butt in the ashtray.
Eleanor didn’t understand what his action meant, just as she was about to take a step back, Hugo quickly grasped her hand.
Hugo pulled her hand over, placing it on his pocket.
Feeling the presence of the key through the fabric of his pants, Eleanor’s face turned a bit red due to the delicate situation between them.
"Take it yourself, I’m drunk."
He slightly tilted his head, leisurely observing Eleanor’s shyness, his eyes glistening.
Eleanor stiffened, suspecting he was teasing her.
But after thinking it over, Hugo wasn’t that type of person.
"Mr. Quinn...could you take it out?"
She was truly embarrassed to reach into a man’s pocket.
"I can’t."
Hugo replied bluntly, suddenly looking up at her, his fingers slowly tracing a circle in her palm.
It’s nighttime, the dim light outside made his face appear clean and captivating.
Eleanor felt a bit breathless; this man’s behavior tonight was truly too strange.
What exactly was he doing; was he flirting with her?
She felt a bit frustrated, thinking that this person was really teasing her, she used to believe him to be a gentleman.
She prepared to stand upright and leave.
But Hugo was faster, pulling her into his arms, holding her tightly.
"Miss Hollis, you’re exceptionally beautiful tonight. I don’t know if it’s because I’m drunk."
He said with amusement, his breath laced with alcohol drifting onto Eleanor’s face.
Smelling the alcohol, Eleanor knew it was a very strong drink, thinking perhaps he really was drunk, as sober he wouldn’t act this way.
She struggled a bit, but found his grip was strong, keeping her firmly in his embrace.
Their posture looked too delicate; anyone unaware might think they were up to something.
"Mr. Quinn, you’re drunk, let go of me!"
Her eyes reddened instantly, like a bullied rabbit, with tears shimmering brightly.
Yet the more she looked like this, the more Hugo wanted to bully her.
He cleverly turned over, imprisoning her in his arms, his slightly drunken gaze seriously watching her blush.
"Mr. Quinn...umm umm..."
Eleanor’s words hadn’t yet come out when she felt a wave of male breath approaching.
She felt weak, a bit breathless.
Seeing Hugo’s face so close, her struggle gradually lessened, smaller and smaller.
"Eleanor..."
Hugo whispered in her ear for a while, holding her tenderly.
Eleanor felt perhaps she was the one drunk, not Hugo, as her vision blurred, her senses magnified endlessly.
Hugo’s hand moved along her clothes, and upon feeling uneven skin, a trace of distress flashed in his eyes.
But Eleanor froze, then struggled frantically.
"Let go of me! Let go!!"
Her voice was hoarse, this person had just touched her stretch marks, he surely despised them, just like Nathaniel did before.
Nathaniel found them shameful marks, over the years never willing to touch her.
"Don’t move!!"
Hugo was also annoyed, noticing her sudden frenzy, he clenched his teeth, kissing her forcefully again.
Eleanor’s tears fell in large drops, feeling helpless in her situation.
"Don’t cry, be good."
Hugo suddenly stopped, lovingly looking at her face, "I don’t mind, I like everything about you."
His eyes still carried a hint of drunkenness, Eleanor couldn’t tell if he was speaking the truth or was intoxicated.
She quickly got up, wiped her tears, "Mr. Quinn, I’m moving out tomorrow."
Hugo still held onto her wrist, not letting her leave, "I know, so do you plan to use tonight to do something with me?"
