The Long Road to Love: The Capable CEO Dad
Chapter 99: Even More Embarrassing
CHAPTER 99: CHAPTER 99: EVEN MORE EMBARRASSING
Eleanor Hollis pretended to be calm as she took it, but inside she was already going crazy. Could she embarrass herself even more in front of this man?
Hugo Quinn didn’t think much of it, but seeing her slightly flushed cheeks, he playfully pinched them.
Eleanor Hollis finished drinking her milk and went to the kitchen to make two bowls of noodles. She remembered Hugo Quinn hadn’t eaten anything either, so she also fried an egg for the two of them and placed it on top of the noodles.
"Eat up."
She pushed one of the bowls of noodles to Hugo Quinn’s side, and Hugo Quinn elegantly started eating.
Eleanor Hollis watched him eat the noodles so gracefully and couldn’t help but sigh. Some people’s charisma is truly ingrained deep within them.
After they finished the noodles, she didn’t plan to wash the bowls. She put them in the pot, covered them with the lid, rubbed her eyes, and decided to go to bed to rest.
Although Hugo Quinn really wanted to share a bed with her, he knew that such things couldn’t be rushed. Acting hastily would only lead to nothing.
He realized he had an unusual amount of patience for Eleanor Hollis, like a hunter who had set up all the traps, just waiting for the prey to step into them.
Before Eleanor Hollis went to sleep, she checked her phone, confirming there were no missed calls, which made her feel a bit relieved. She truly hoped that after this time, she could completely free herself from Nathaniel Quinn.
At the KTV, Nathaniel Quinn was incredibly drunk, continuously calling out "Eleanor."
June Sullivan sat beside him, feeling quite uncomfortable.
Initially, when she stayed close to Nathaniel Quinn, it was only for his money.
In Serenford, she had experienced the harsh realities of life and no longer trusted men’s words.
But after Nathaniel Quinn repeatedly said those gentle words and indulged her time after time, she found herself slowly falling for him.
However, that night, after encountering Eleanor Hollis, she finally understood she would always be a pitiful substitute.
She was unwilling to accept it, even filled with anger.
But even in his drunken state, he kept calling out that woman’s name, leaving her helpless.
"Nathaniel, wake up. I’ll take you home."
Nathaniel Quinn, reeking of alcohol, probably forgot where he was entirely.
He opened his bleary eyes and saw Eleanor Hollis’s face flashing before him.
"Eleanor!"
Suddenly, he pulled her into his embrace, holding her tightly, "I was wrong before. Will you forgive me? Please give me another chance, I’m begging you..."
He lowered his stance, hoping she would look back at him even for just a moment.
Seeing her with his uncle really made him sad.
"You and my uncle won’t have a future. Grandpa won’t agree to the two of you being together. Eleanor, only I can give you happiness."
June Sullivan listened to his words of deep affection, her face gradually turning somber.
She slowly reached out to hold him, her eyes full of irony, "I forgive you. Come on, let’s go home."
"You really forgive me?"
Nathaniel Quinn looked at her, suddenly stood up, and quickly pulled her into his arms, pressing her onto the nearby sofa.
What followed was natural; June Sullivan was more passionate than ever before, especially when Nathaniel Quinn looked at her with those fiery eyes, she wished she could give him everything.
This person was the one who provoked her first. Since he did, he can’t let go now, or else she’s unsure what she’ll do.
The next morning.
When she woke up in pain, recalling the chaos of last night, she couldn’t help but curl the corners of her mouth.
Nathaniel Quinn happened to wake up at this time too, reaching next to him contentedly.
He remembered clearly, Eleanor Hollis came back last night, and they had a frantic night together until the sky turned dim with daylight, then he let her go.
"Nathaniel, we should go back, take a good shower, and change clothes."
June Sullivan nestled gently in his arms, and Nathaniel Quinn’s body stiffened at the sound. He looked down only to find the petite June Sullivan burrowed in his chest.
He immediately stood up in the private room, glanced around, and found that besides him and June Sullivan, the room was empty.
June Sullivan knew who he was looking for but didn’t mention it, instead snuggling up to him affectionately, "Let’s go, we’ll head home."
Nathaniel Quinn’s face immediately darkened. He picked up the clothes on the floor, his demeanor was completely different from the passionate man he was last night.
"I have something to do, I’ll be going first."
June Sullivan watched him leave without looking back, gritted her teeth, got up, endured the deep fatigue, and picked up the clothes scattered on the floor.
Nathaniel Quinn returned home full of anger, took a shower, changed clothes, and immediately rushed to the hospital, placing the photos taken last night directly in front of Old Master Quinn.
"Grandpa, these two people really seem to be getting together. Aren’t you planning to stop them? Eleanor Hollis is my ex-wife, Hugo is my uncle. If outsiders find out, where will the dignity of the Quinton Family go?"
He knew what Old Master Quinn valued most was the family’s reputation, so every word hit the mark.
Last time, Old Master Quinn was infuriated by Hugo Quinn and ended up in the hospital, still not having left.
He had thought that son might visit him in the hospital at some point, but no matter how long he waited, Hugo never came; instead, he was enjoying himself with Eleanor Hollis.
Old Master Quinn felt a surge of unprecedented anger.
As the head of the Quinton Family, he was accustomed to controlling everything, but this youngest son repeatedly challenged his limits.
He glanced at the butler beside him, "Give Eleanor a call and have her come over now."
Nathaniel Quinn saw Old Master Quinn speak, knowing there was going to be a show, he smirked.
He couldn’t have Eleanor Hollis, and neither should his uncle.
Eleanor Hollis received the call from Old Master Quinn just after breakfast. With a few words from the butler, she finally understood why Hugo Quinn and Marcus went to the Quinton Family that night.
They had apparently angered Grandpa Quinn into the hospital and hadn’t even visited him.
She glanced disapprovingly at Hugo Quinn because today was Saturday, no need to go to the company; she happened to have time, so she agreed to visit the hospital.
The butler explained clearly on the phone, telling her not to inform Hugo Quinn about it, as the old master had something very important to discuss with her.
Reluctantly, Eleanor Hollis lied to Hugo Quinn.
"I have to go to the hospital; Samantha Sullivan is sick, I’m going to check on her."
Hugo Quinn didn’t suspect anything, he just held the back of her head, giving her a deep kiss, then brushed against her lips.
"Go ahead and come back soon."
Eleanor Hollis’s face couldn’t help but turn red, realizing this man was getting more and more natural with his actions.
Before heading to the hospital, she specifically bought a bouquet and a basket of fruit, and then went to Old Master Quinn’s ward.
