The Master of Beasts
Chapter 360 - 24: Law, New Shadow Clan_3
CHAPTER 360: CHAPTER 24: LAW, NEW SHADOW CLAN_3
"At your service, Master."
Although Chen Ziteng was only at the Mahayana level, her vines indeed grew outrageously long, already sprawling across almost the entire Green Bamboo Realm, making her a sort of caretaker there.
An hour later, ten thousand beasts bound by the vines appeared before Chen Jiuge.
"Hmm, not bad. Here’s another task for you. Teach those seven some basic life skills. It seems others will be coming to learn soon too." Chen Jiuge planned to have the most idle Chen Ziteng help with the enlightenment of the new Shadow Clan.
"Sure, Master." "Yes, Father God."
With a flick of his wrist, he summoned an Array Plate and began to create his own army.
Unlike the previous Bloodlines he encountered, this new Shadow Bloodline could directly devour other beasts’ Bloodlines. Moreover, a beast could only be infused once, and once infused, it could not be removed. This made Fang Zige’s idea of forcefully maturing them impossible.
However, that’s reasonable. After all, I wasn’t able to extract the Bloodlines from the living members of the Shadow Clan either.
After some time, over nine thousand new members of the Shadow Clan had appeared before Chen Jiuge. Gazing at the crowd of pitch-black little figures, Chen Jiuge smiled slightly and said, "Next, we’ll start their basic knowledge enlightenment. Once their Cultivation strengthens, they can move into the original Shadow Clan’s territory to expand and grow."
"Father God!" "Father God!" "Father God!"
The chirping noises gave Chen Jiuge a bit of a headache. He pointed towards Chen Ziteng’s location and instructed, "Next, go over there and learn from Sister Chen. Remember to be obedient."
"Okay, Father God."
Watching the little figures madly dashing off, Chen Jiuge couldn’t help but feel nervous for Chen Ziteng. Ziteng, it’s your time to be tested. Good luck!
After roughly setting everything up, Chen Jiuge finally took a deep breath. He hadn’t used his Golden Finger abilities for such a long time that it felt a bit unfamiliar.
Just after stepping out of the Green Bamboo Realm, Chen Jiuge saw Da Bai cramming Shadow Stones into a Storage Ring nonstop.
He picked him up and asked, "What are you doing?"
Da Bai turned. Upon seeing it wasn’t that fierce Elder, he flashed his big teeth, saying, "I am an Artifact Refiner, just gathering refining materials, you know?"
"Heh, you think you can refine that much?" Chen Jiuge questioned.
"Boss, how can you doubt me?" Da Bai replied discontentedly.
It seems I do need your help after all. Suddenly, an idea struck Chen Jiuge. The new Shadow Clan members would serve him in his conquests, and having Da Bai forge Magic Artifacts for them for frequent combat practice seemed like a great idea.
Casually pulling out a blank Jade Scroll, he imprinted some information onto it with his Divine Sense. Chen Jiuge stuffed the Jade Scroll into Da Bai’s arms and tossed him into the Green Bamboo Realm, saying, "Get to work and don’t slack off."
Da Bai, feeling dizzy, stood up to find ten thousand little black figures staring at him intently. "Ha, what’s all this?"
"Brother Dabai, how did you get in here?" Chen Ziteng asked in surprise.
The Jade Scroll floated in the air, displaying a message. It explained that from now on, Da Bai would forge Magic Artifacts for the new Shadow Clan to use in their daily battles. He would also help Chen Ziteng teach these new Shadow Clan members.
"Wow, Brother Dabai, so you’re here to help! That’s great; I was a bit overwhelmed handling them all by myself," Chen Ziteng admitted with some distress.
Da Bai managed a weak smile and said, "Ziteng, these pitch-black things, how many are there?"
"Ten thousand."
"Ten thousand?"
"Yes, ten thousand."
Da Bai lay on the grass with a silly smile. Ten thousand, won’t this be the death of me? he murmured.
"Shame on you," Yue Meng taunted as she suddenly appeared.
Mo Yu shook her head and said, "Alright, crafting Magic Artifacts for ten thousand people is indeed a bit much for Da Bai. Fortunately, there are still quite a few of the original Shadow Clan’s long spears that are intact. We’ll start with those."
"Who says I can’t handle it? Just you wait and see."
Yue Meng and Mo Yu shared a knowing smile. They needed to stimulate the fragile pride of this weary guy.
"Next up is the task of educating this batch of new Shadow Clan members. It’s going to be a big project."
"Not really. The main goal is to get them accustomed to some basic knowledge quickly and to accelerate their Cultivation. It shouldn’t be too problematic."
After a brief discussion, they decided on their roles. Yue Meng would be responsible for refining Elixirs for the new Shadow Clan members’ Cultivation. Mo Yu and Chen Ziteng would take charge of their general education. As for Tian Que, when he wasn’t busy, he would practice Fighting Techniques with them. It seemed that foodie was only useful for this.
