After finishing her words, Apoli left the forest without even taking the box with her.

The box was wide open, and inside was only a rock, which didn’t look much different from a common jar stone used for pressing pickles, no wonder Apoli had discarded it.

"It really wrongs you," Zero picked up the rock, realizing why it looked so familiar—it was the interstellar stone she had previously sold to Batou. It seemed that Batou realized his mistake and then secretly swapped and sold it to Apoli.

Zero still felt somewhat attached to the interstellar stone, so despite the limited space in her military pack, she put the stone back into it.

The sky was overcast, and it was hard to tell if it was nearing dusk or about to rain.

The box was still open, and Batou was urging the black slaves, rushing over like the wind.

Batou jumped out of his sedan, rolling and crawling into the box, not bothering with the box containing the sea pearl that he was holding.

"Damn Katz, it must be Katz who swapped my items. Where is the stone, that’s the most precious material," Batou sat in the box, wiping his nose and tears. He was also holding a newly received confidential report in his hand.

The report stated, "Someone at the temporary point saw a woman who resembled Cleopatra."

After leaving the box, Zero hurriedly made her way and finally, before dark, successfully arrived at the temporary point.

Temporary points, unlike regular towns, are similar to tent dwellings. "Military Road" does not differentiate between male and female players, and the dwellings are no different, assigning accommodation and beds merely based on the order of each player’s arrival, separated only by two curtain-like cloths.

Most people reported the same purpose as Zero at the temporary point, just to register their names for convenience to directly enter the next day. Thus, there weren’t many people at the temporary point.

After finishing a simple registration, Zero planned to quit "Military Road".

As she passed by the dwelling tents, she noticed a woman. This was an unremarkable woman with a dark complexion and a hunched figure.

Sometimes, the less conspicuous a person, the more they stand out. Zero noticed her first because of her skin color. The woman’s skin was a brownish color, not typical of the people near Babylon City.

Her attributes, Zero couldn’t see clearly. An NPC at a temporary point, or perhaps a low-key player, could still be a hidden master.

Perhaps Zero stared for a bit too long, the woman quickly raised her head, glanced at her with a look that carried caution, calm, and contemplation. The woman entered the tent and did not come out again.

"Next time I come, if she’s still here, I’ll try to find out more about her," Zero quit "Military Road".

Not long after quitting "Military Road," Xia You came out of the room.

The note left by Mo Xixi in the morning had a smiling face drawn on it: "I left some plain porridge in the kitchen, just buy some cooked food downstairs to eat."
