CHAPTER 33: 33. VELHART FAMILY’S HOUSE

"Liz!"

Liz immediately stopped when she heard her brother’s voice. Still pulling Riki’s arm, she approached Kaivan, who was sitting casually in the cafeteria with Zeno, Angeline, Chanelle (commonly called Elle), and Gavin.

They were all upper-class kids, so it was no surprise that they hung out together. Liz also usually hung out with them, because they had all been friends since childhood. Although in recent years Liz had always felt insecure around the beautiful Angeline and Elle, who were like goddesses.

However, now was not the time to feel insecure, because if she felt too insecure, Riki would be taken away by other girls again.

When Riki was poor, Hannah was his girlfriend. Now that Riki had suddenly become rich, there would definitely be more girls who wanted him.

"I’m not going to the cafe. I’m going home with Riki. We have something to do," said Liz, without further ado.

Kaivan looked at Liz in disbelief, "You’re going to be alone with him at home? No way, I’m coming too!"

"If you two aren’t coming, then I’m not coming either," replied Angeline.

"What the hell is this? This is our first hangout this month, we may not have another chance to be together again—" Elle turned to Riki, who just stay silent.

"This must all be because of this guy. You broke up with Angeline, then invited Liz to your house to have fun... are you a player?" added Elle, with a cynical look on her face.

Just as Riki opened his mouth to defend himself, Gavin replied, "Just yesterday you said you were jealous of Angeline because a guy gave her such a beautiful surprise. You said you wanted a diamond ring too, right?"

Elle immediately stepped on Gavin’s foot, causing the 188 cm tall man to wince in pain.

"Shut up! This is a different story!"

Zeno slammed the table in front of him several times to get them to calm down.

"We have to listen to Riki’s explanation first before accusing them of anything. I’m not sure that’s what Riki and Liz intended, and even if they did want to do something, they are already of legal age."

Zeno’s words made Liz feel embarrassed, but also happy at the same time. She didn’t know why, but she couldn’t say anything, her face turning red.

"Okay, listen to me. I’m sorry if Liz canceled the agreement with you guys, but right now Liz is having trouble because some of her plants suddenly got moldy. Coincidentally, I have a plan to help her. I don’t know if it will work or not, but we have to try it first, right?"

They fell silent after hearing Riki’s words.

"Plants again? Which flowers are you talking about now?" asked Kaivan.

"I explained it, but you never cared, right? I’m going home with Riki. I’m afraid if I leave them too long, they’ll all die. So let me go," said Liz.

Kaivan shook his head, "I’m coming with you. I’ll make sure he doesn’t do something naughty with you."

"I’m coming too!" Elle chimed in.

Angeline clapped her hands a few times as she stood up, "Then we’ll hang out at Kaivan and Liz’s house! Their house is just as nice as a cafe, especially since Liz is working on a flower garden there. You guys haven’t seen it yet, have you?"

Liz bit her lower lip, unsure whether she should be happy or upset about it. She was happy because their problem had been resolved nicely, and she was also happy that her friends were coming to her house. But, on the other hand, she also hoped to be alone with Riki.

But it wasn’t Angeline’s fault, it was Kaivan’s for not letting Liz have a chance to be alone with Riki.

"Isn’t this great, Liz? I’ll help you, don’t worry," whispered Riki.

Oh, you’re just making that girl hope for you even more, Riki.

Long story short, they had arrived at the Velhart family home. It was a luxurious house with an elegant classic design and a very large yard.

In front of the house was a parking space for cars, and there was also a mini fountain for decoration. Liz also placed several large pots of roses in front of the house to make it look romantic.

Then, there was a large flower garden next to the house. In the garden was a classic round marble gazebo, inside which were chairs for serving tea. It was like a large and magnificent medieval gazebo. Liz decorated the gazebo with climbing roses and several other flowers.

Meanwhile, in the backyard was a large swimming pool.

While the others looked around the garden that Liz was working on, Riki and Liz went to the kitchen to prepare snacks for them.

"I’m sorry for bothering you. Actually, you can go with the others. I’ll do this with the servants," said Liz. At first, she invited Riki so they could be alone for a while. But then she felt bad for Riki.

Riki chuckled softly, then grabbed a jar containing several types of tea.

"I already said I would help you, Liz... you don’t need to feel bad about me."

"But you also came here to help me take care of my plants..."

Riki turned to Liz, who was getting prettier and prettier every day. He smiled, then reached out his hand to pat Liz’s head gently.

"Just think of me as being here to show you how I make delicious milk tea. Oh yeah, I used to work in a tea shop, where I was taught how to brew tea properly. I’ll teach you. You said you like milk tea, right?"

Liz began to smile broadly, perhaps this was one of her chances to get closer to Riki.

"I like milk tea, I like milk coffee too... oh! I was once at a restaurant where they served tea with pieces of fruit in it, I like that too."

"Tea and fruit? That might be perfect for now, since the sun is so hot, let’s make some fruit iced tea."

Meanwhile, in a hidden spot a little further away, several people were peeking at the two of them.

"Why are you two peeking, girls?" whispered Zeno, surprised that Angeline and Elle were peeking at Riki and Liz.

"Shh! Be quiet, Zeno, I just want to know what their relationship is. I saw the news that Riki kissed Liz on the campus grounds. Even though he just broke up with Angeline," whispered Elle.

"I already told you, Riki and I broke up amicably... I do like Riki, but it would be pointless if Riki didn’t like me, so I—"

"It’s the same, Angeline, you and he just broke up!"

"Oh my god, you don’t want to hear my explanation, are you?"

Zeno turned back to the kitchen, where Riki and Liz were making drinks. He smiled, finding it funny because Riki had previously said he wasn’t romantically interested in anyone.

But it seemed like Liz was getting special treatment.

Not many men smiled at a girl with such a gentle gaze. However, it seemed like Riki wasn’t aware that he liked her.

Let everything flow naturally.

"Let’s go back, nothing that you think will happen, will happen," said Zeno, dragging the two girls away from there.

He sells beauty products because the market is huge and never slows down, even as times change. Beauty products are always popular with women, and even men who need them.

Then there are the plant products... he wants to make Little Heaven bigger than it is now.

And seeing that his second mission was completed quickly, of course Riki had to introduce the product to Evan, to be marketed in the store.

There was an incoming call from Jayden.

"Hello, Jayden? Oh, right... instead of using that small old restaurant building, how about moving to a bigger place?"

"I have a place near the Arcelia River if you agree... it’s empty, don’t worry. Really? Then let’s use that. Contact someone to build a restaurant that suits your needs. Use the best construction services."

"Hmm? Yeah, for now, use the small restaurant... I’ll promote it heavily. Once the restaurant is well-known and the new building is finished, we can move. Okay, okay, hmm, see you later."

The call ended.

Riki went back to work promoting the small restaurant. For now, the restaurant was getting attention after people saw Riki’s posts on social media. That was a good move.

Riki just had to make the restaurant even more famous.

Since the social media promotion was successful, Riki wanted to try it again.

Who did he know who had a lot of followers on social media?

The doorbell interrupted Riki’s reverie. He immediately stood up and opened the door.

He smiled when he saw the three people coming to his apartment.

"Hey, help me with the promotion, the three of you," said Riki.

"You haven’t even invited us in yet, oh gosh" replied Travis, annoyed.

"We’re tired, Riki... we wanna eat something," complained Deva, who had only had time to eat buttered toast all day.

"Well, that’s perfect timing, let’s go to the restaurant!"
