CHAPTER 34: 34. SEAN’S THOUGHT

When Sean woke up in the morning, he saw Riki smiling to himself with his smartphone. Sean yawned briefly, then stretched.

Riki was still unaware that Sean was awake.

Last night, they met Jayden at a small restaurant that Sean had just discovered.

Despite being located in front of the most prestigious office building, the restaurant was not very well known. Perhaps it was still new, or perhaps it was simply overshadowed by other larger restaurants.

Even so, the restaurant served delicious food, including delicious dumplings.

Sean thought there must be a great chef behind all the delicious food. But it turned out that Jayden himself did the cooking.

That night, Jayden thought he had to close the restaurant. But Riki suddenly arrived, along with Deva, Travis, and Sean. All the new employees had gone home, leaving only Jayden, who was thinking of ways to attract customers.

After hearing Riki’s explanation about promoting the restaurant, Jayden was very happy.

But what surprised Sean was that Jayden didn’t even know Deva, Travis, or Sean.

Well, Riki also didn’t know Sean if Evan hadn’t told Riki that Sean was an actor at that time. But still.

Sean felt that he was indeed less popular than Deva and Travis.

Riki only realized that Sean was awake when Sean sighed heavily.

"Are you awake? I’m looking at Deva and Travis’ posts—oh, why don’t you post too? I just asked you to upload a photo of us eating at the restaurant," said Riki.

Sean, who could never hide his expressions, clearly looked like he was thinking about many things. In fact, he had just woken up.

Riki moved closer to Sean, checking his forehead, wondering if he was sick.

But, well, he was fine.

"I’m fine, Riki. It’s just... um— I’ll post it now, but don’t expect too much from me, because I don’t have as many fans as Deva or Travis."

Riki furrowed his brow, then said, "Seeing you lose your confidence like this is so unlike you. The Sean I know is a confident Sean. Besides, who won the award for best new actor? Was it Deva? Or Travis? No, it was you, right? Be confident, bro!"

Sean sighed heavily again and grabbed his fully charged smartphone.

"Vicky doesn’t like me, there must be a reason, right, Riki..." Sean muttered, sounding very confused to Riki.

Then Sean posted their photos, after which he handed his phone to Riki.

At first, Riki was confused, until he saw the comments popping up quickly.

They were all hateful comments. It had only been a few seconds since Sean posted the photos.

@xxx: I knew this bitch would go with Deva and Travis.

@zzz: Can’t he stay away from my Travis? He’s like a germ that always sticks around.

@yyy: Now he’s even targeting Riki. He always knows handsome men with lots of money. Shameless bitch.

@ggg: Does he think he’s so beautiful? Disgusting.

Riki couldn’t bear to read all the nasty comments. He gave the phone back to Sean.

"Just close the comments section, so you don’t have to read hateful comments like that," said Riki.

Sean smiled, "No, I’ll let them comment as they please. I just need to know if everything they said is not true. In fact, they know I’m a man... there are even some haters who conspire that I’m actually a woman in disguise—that’s crazy. I also don’t want them to say I look like a woman... I’m a man and I’m normal. I don’t like men..."

Quickly, Sean sank into his own sea of sadness.

Riki just sitting there silently, thinking about why the girls had so quickly concluded that Sean would like men just because he looked more beautiful.

It was ridiculous.

Riki couldn’t understand it.

"I don’t know how to cheer you up... but, how about we just exercise? If you get some muscles, you might not look so feminine," said Riki.

Sean snapped out of his sadness, looking at Riki’s big arms, then at his own small arms.

"Oh, that’s true... should I eat a lot of boiled eggs too?"

Riki laughed when he heard that, "If you want, I can boil some eggs for you. Oh, I forgot I have some duck eggs. Jayden gave them to me."

They left the room, which was the only one in the apartment. There was another room, but Riki used it as a storage room.

Since Sean was small, it was better for them to sleep together.

They exercised in the morning. They started with a jog around the neighborhood, went to the gym for a while, then returned to the apartment and had boiled eggs for breakfast.

"Are you very busy today, Riki?" asked Sean, who was already full, even though he had only eaten two boiled eggs.

Riki, who was eating his fifth boiled egg, answered after swallowing his food.

"Today I’m going to Little Heaven, I’m also going to check on the construction of the restaurant that will start today."

"The restaurant from yesterday?" asked Sean.

Riki nodded, "Yes, after the number of restaurant visitors increased, we couldn’t continue using that small restaurant. So, the restaurant will move once the branding is strong."

Sean stared blankly while nodding his head. Riki was truly very dedicated to his work.

"No wonder you have a lot of money, Riki... then, what about your other businesses?"

"The others will be taken care of by Jake. Maybe I’ll go there to see the progress— oh, I have a beauty product, Sean. Do you want to try it? Who knows, you could become the brand ambassador for that product later. We can make you a brand ambassador after you officially join Hayper Entertainment."

Sean was so surprised to hear this that he almost spit out his drink.

"Wh— what did you say?"

Riki furrowed his brow, "Didn’t Arvin tell you? You guys can leave Golden Entertainment quickly if you already have a new agency supporting you. I have shares in Hayper Entertainment, right? So I asked them to help you and Deva. No need to thank me, I’ll take advantage of you guys after this."

Sean just stared blankly, unable to say anything else. Riki always surprised him. No wonder Arvin suddenly asked yesterday if Sean and Deva liked Hayper or not.

Of course, Sean and Deva’s answer was the same: they liked Hayper and would be very happy to join that big agency.

Sean forgot that Riki had shares there.

Riki snapped his fingers in front of Sean’s nose.

After Sean came to his senses, Riki chuckled and said, "You’re going with Arvin again today, right? I hope everything goes well. He might take you to Hayper today. I hope everything gets done quickly so you can go back to your apartment."

Sean raised an eyebrow, "Are you saying that because you don’t like me being here and bothering you, Riki?"

Riki laughed upon hearing this, "Of course not! Honestly, I like having you here."

Sean, who had said that as a joke, didn’t expect Riki to answer seriously.

"Owh, really?" Sean asked.

Riki nodded, "Yeah... I actually have an older brother, Sean. He’s the same age as Deva. Seeing you reminds me of my brother. He died in an accident, leaving behind a lot of debt... which made things difficult for me. But, to be honest, I miss him."

Sean was silent for a moment, seeing the sadness in Riki’s eyes. Even though Riki acted normal, as if he wasn’t sad. But Riki’s eyes said it all.

"Riki... I don’t know anything about you, but I’m willing to listen to your story."

Riki turned to Sean and smiled slightly.

"Thank you."

"I’m sorry for showing you my weak side."

"You don’t always have to be strong in front of me, you know."

"I haven’t had many friends until now, so... I don’t know how to act in front of a friend."

"Be quiet, Riki, don’t worry about unnecessary things. You are very unique."

Riki turned back to Sean, "Unique?"

Sean nodded, "Well, earlier you were so enthusiastic about your business, as if you were a young entrepreneur full of passion, and now suddenly you’re acting like a sweet little brother that never had many friends."

"Don’t tease me!"

"Hahaha, you look like a little brother now."

"Ugh, you’re annoying."

"But you’re comfortable with me, right, Riki?"

"No, I’m not..."

"Don’t lie..."

After that, they just laughed, feeling that their conversation was very silly.

They just finished eating, then washed the dishes.

There was no conversation, until Riki blurted out.

"But Sean, you’re too small to be my brother."

Sean, who was annoyed, chased Riki and hit him with a sofa cushion. Meanwhile, Riki just laughed.

Both of them immediately fell silent when they heard the doorbell ring.

"Let me open the door," said Sean, and he immediately ran to the door.

He opened the door and was surprised to find no one there.

Strange.

Then, Sean’s eyes caught sight of a box in front of the door.

He crouched down and looked at it, feeling very familiar with the box.

Suddenly, Riki ran out, bumping into Sean’s shoulder.

Riki was very fast at that moment, confusing Sean.

When Sean came out of the door, he wanted to see what Riki was doing.

The boy had already caught someone.

"Gotcha! You think you can just get away from me?" said Riki, removing the mask covering the face of the person he had caught.

"Boss?" shouted Sean.

Riki turned to Sean, "What did you say, boss?"

"The owner of Golden Entertainment."

Riki looked back at the man he was catching.
