CHAPTER 36: 36. CHERRY LIQUID

"Come on, if you want this problem to be solved quickly, you have to help me find David."

Deva was very frustrated when Riki said that to him.

"But I don’t want to contact Vicky! Are you crazy?"

Riki clicked his tongue in annoyance, leaning his back against the wall behind him.

It was around seven in the evening. They went out to dinner again at Jayden’s restaurant. The group consisted of Riki, Sean, Deva, and Travis. And Arvin was also interested in the restaurant after seeing the three young celebrities’ posts.

While they were busy eating, Riki pulled Deva outside the restaurant. He persuaded Deva to find out David’s current whereabouts so they could interrogate him.

Deva was scared, especially since Riki said he wanted to do it alone. Facing David wouldn’t be that easy, Deva thought.

But Deva also knew that Riki’s idea was pretty good. They had to have enough evidence to prosecute David for his actions.

"Don’t you want this problem to be over quickly?" asked Riki.

"But... why do you have to do it alone? I’m worried about you, Riki!"

Riki was confused about how to answer Deva. He couldn’t say that he was the only one with disguise skills, right? And he didn’t want anyone to know about it, so he wanted to do it alone.

But, on second thought, Deva would surely see it differently.

"In that case, you can come with me," said Riki.

Deva ran his fingers through his hair, frustrated with the situation.

First, he was very surprised after seeing the CCTV footage in front of Riki’s apartment. He didn’t expect that the person who had been sending death threats to Sean was the person who seemed to be the nicest to Sean.

Deva also thought that maybe David was told by Vicky, his sister, to do all of that. And if that was true, then it was all Deva’s fault.

Deva shouldn’t let his precious friend suffer because of him.

"I’ll go with you, but... he’s seen your face, right? He’ll be suspicious of you."

Riki smiled and patted Deva on the shoulder, "I’ll disguise myself as someone else. I definitely won’t be recognized, and if you’re really scared, I’m stronger than David."

Although Deva was still very worried, he finally agreed to Riki’s plan. Even though Riki’s plan was good, he was still thinking about many things.

However, if Deva was too afraid to take the risk, this problem would continue to drag on.

"I’ll call Vicky now..."

Riki smiled contentedly, seeing that Deva had finally dared to take the risk.

Deva called Vicky, and it didn’t take long for Vicky to answer the phone.

"Hello, Vicky?"

The sound of the door opening loudly startled David, who was trying hard to do his work.

He couldn’t concentrate well because Sean and his friend had caught him.

Damn it.

"Brother!"

David sighed deeply as his younger sister approached with a wide smile.

"What now, Vic?"

Vicky suddenly hugged David tightly, "Brother, Deva said he’s willing to go on a date with me tonight! He said he just wants to make peace with us. So, I told him... if you want me to stop hurting Sean, then you have to go on a date with me, and he agreed. I asked him to meet at Cherry Liquid, brother, take me there, okay?"

David was silent, feeling very strange. Could it be that Sean hadn’t told Deva about him?

David began to smile with relief, it seemed that Sean didn’t dare to say anything to Deva. Or maybe Sean just felt sorry for David, because David had always treated him well.

That’s right, Sean was a man with a soft heart, he would never have the heart to imprison David.

That’s what David thought.

The man laughed afterward.

"Hahaha, let’s go then. I’m sick of all this work too."

They headed to the place Vicky had mentioned earlier.

Cherry Liquid was the same nightclub where Riki had seen Anton and Hannah before.

It was a nightclub that was very popular among young people, a luxurious place to spend the night.

"Oh, there’s Deva! I’m going to go over to him, have fun without me, okay?" Vicky, who spotted Deva sitting alone in front of the bartender, immediately walked quickly over to him.

Meanwhile, David looked for an empty seat to drink.

"What are the most expensive drinks here? I’ll order a few, please give me your recommendations," David said to the bartender.

"Do you want something expensive or something delicious, sir?" asked the bartender.

David grinned, "Are the expensive ones not delicious? Give me the best!"

The bartender, feeling challenged, immediately mixed the best drink for David.

"I want the best drink too!"

David immediately turned his head, frowning when he saw the very beautiful young man next to him.

With skin as smooth as porcelain, beautiful eyes, and naturally red lips.

The beautiful young man turned to David when he realized he was being stared at.

"Is there something wrong with me?" asked the young man.

"No, you’re very beautiful..."

The young man laughed upon hearing this, "Shouldn’t I be handsome? I’m a man. My name is Jo, what’s yours?" asked Jo.

David extended his hand, " I’m David. Would you like to have a drink with me, Jo?"

Jo laughed again, then smiled sweetly and nodded.

"Of course, this is my first time in a place like this. I’ve never had alcohol before either. I want to try it because I think it’s fun."

David smiled broadly at Jo’s words, and he asked the bartender to give him the most expensive wine.

It was clear that David had a lot of money. A bottle of wine costing $100,000 was very cheap for him.

The two of them tried the drinks made by the bartender. After that, they tried the expensive wine.

"Hmm, I really like this. You’re amazing for being able to drink that fast, David. I’m still having trouble," said Jo.

Seeing Jo continuing to praise him, David was very happy. He continued to drink as Jo kept pouring into his glass.

"I don’t get drunk easily. This is nothing to me," said David.

Jo was amazed to see David still looking fresh after finishing almost a whole bottle.

"Then let’s drink until we get drunk, David," said Jo, ordering two more bottles of the most expensive wine.

Jo kept talking about many things while pouring wine into David’s glass.

After another bottle was finished, David began to show signs of drunkenness.

"David? Can’t you drink anymore?" asked Jo.

"No, I can still drink! I’m not drunk yet. Pour me some more!" said David, who couldn’t even lift his head from the table. Jo chuckled at David’s heavy drunkenness.

Then, Jo brought his face close to David’s, checking to see if he was really drunk or if he still had some awareness left.

"Pour me another... I can handle it!"

Jo moved his head away and paid for all the drinks that he and David had consumed.

Then he pulled David up and carried him to an available room.

"Where are you taking me, honey?" David muttered.

Jo wrinkled his nose, suppressing his disgust at David and his ridiculous use of the word "honey."

"We’ll continue drinking in this room, David."

Jo threw David’s heavy body onto the bed. Then he sat down on a chair, opened the unopened bottle, and poured wine into a glass.

He drank the wine while staring at David, who was still trying to sit up.

"Do you want to drink this, David?"

"Give it to me..."

Jo grinned, David was completely drunk.

Then he turned to the smartphone that was recording them at that moment.

"You can have this if you tell the truth, David. Why did you send Sean a death threat?"

David, who had managed to sit up, tried to look at the face that was asking him the question.

Was it Sean’s friend from earlier that morning?

David blinked again, and the face changed back to Jo’s.

His head felt very heavy and dizzy. David held his head.

"The death threat was requested by Vicky... ugh— my head hurts!"

David lay back down, his head spinning.

"So, you did that just because your sister told you to?" asked Jo, or Riki as he was usually called.

Jo was just a name that Riki had made up.

His face had returned to its original form.

"Yes, but... I did it because I was jealous too."

David’s answer made Riki frown, confused.

Why would David be jealous?

"You... jealous?" Riki asked again, to be sure.

"Yes, of course I’m jealous! Why is Sean getting close to Deva? Sean is mine! I love him! I won’t let Deva take Sean away from me! So, I followed my sister’s plan. If Vicky succeeds with Deva, then Sean won’t be close to him anymore. Oh, I should have carried out my original plan to kidnap Sean and lock him up, he can’t go anywhere, he’s only mine. Only I can touch him!"

Riki felt sick hearing the nonsense David was spouting.

"You know Sean is a man, right?"

"I don’t care, he made me gay, just look at his beautiful face, if he moans under me—"

Riki, who was impatient, immediately punched David to shut him up.

"You bastard! You make me want to vomit. I don’t care if you’re gay, but you’ve gone too far, you jerk!"

[You have successfully obtained strong evidence to prosecute David. Your mission is complete, and you have earned a reward in the form of an additional clue for your mother’s murder case]

[You have earned 2 points]

Riki just stood there silently reading the notification from the system. He had used up all his energy dealing with David.

Riki hurried to the bathroom in the room. He really wanted to vomit.
