The Nightmare Wizard
Chapter 130: Sonic Bubble
CHAPTER 130: CHAPTER 130: SONIC BUBBLE
"William..." Angel’s voice came through, soft but urgent. "You’ve slept too long. You’ll be late for your next class."
William’s eyes snapped open. He had gone through an infernal transformation... but now his body was stronger, more stable. A grand knight.
"What class is it?" he asked as he sat up.
"Magical Creatures Studies. With Professor Erilyn Aossar."
The name made William stand up at once, shouting with all his might, "Shit!"
He knew Lia was in that class... and that without him there, she was an easy target. The taunts, the threats, the hatred... everything his cowardly classmates didn’t dare say aloud when he was around, they would surely unleash with venom in his absence.
He moved quickly, but then stopped abruptly.
He couldn’t use instant steps. He couldn’t use his enormous strength. No one should know he had ascended yet.
He clicked his tongue in frustration. He had only one option: he approached the teleportation matrix and chose his destination. It was near the classroom area, but it would take him a few minutes to run the extra distance. A voice spoke, asking for confirmation.
"Selected journey: cost one thousand points. Confirm selection."
"Do it!"
The vortex opened in front of him, and William jumped in without thinking.
On the other side, he emerged into the academic zone, precisely hiding his aura, and began to run. He couldn’t use his full strength, but he still ran very fast, so it took him only a few minutes to reach his assigned classroom.
The hallways were full. Students, laughter, glances; no one knew the fire consuming him inside.
When he reached the classroom door, he stopped short, hearing voices coming from inside.
"Did you screw him so hard you put him in a coma? Maybe he has no stamina and died after half a poke."
"Ha, how disgusting, maybe it’s not that he’s weak, maybe she was just so good at sucking him dry. What I wonder is if she sucks everyone the same way. Come on, give us a demo, maybe I’ll recommend you to my friends so they can pay you."
"Haha, be careful, she might give you something; bitches always have strange diseases."
Laughter. Murmurs. Insults. All the students were mocking Lia because word had spread that William had been taken by the disciplinary committee. They thought William was dead and no one could defend her, so they saw her as an easy target to vent on.
William trembled with fury. His fists cracked. The veins on his body bulged as if they would burst as he gripped the doorknob, ready to enter and rip the heads off all the bastards who were badmouthing his beloved.
"I’m going to kill them," he muttered.
"No!" Angel shouted into his mind. "William, if you do that, you’ll reveal you ascended! Don’t be foolish."
"I don’t care. I’m going to rip out their tongues."
"William, listen to me! Use a sound spell. Among the new ones you learned is Sonic Bubble. The sound compresses into a sphere and detonates seconds later. You can make it burst in their ears. That way, no one will know it was you. And if they question you, you can say you overloaded it by accident."
William breathed heavily. He closed his eyes and smiled before whispering.
"Perfect."
Mixing gray energy into the spells, he began to form small, invisible mana bubbles. He directed them one by one towards the heads of each of the idiots mocking Lia, including those who were just laughing without saying anything, and then he waited, staring at them with a smile that seemed straight out of an asylum.
Boom.
The spheres exploded like compressed sonic whips. The air cracked.
One fell to his knees, bleeding from his ears. Another writhed on the floor clutching his head, screaming as if his skull had been split open. Others simply collapsed; their screams were so high-pitched they were barely distinguishable from the sonic roar.
The class was in absolute chaos, and then...
William opened the door with slow, steady steps. His gaze was an icy mask.
Those who could still move saw him and fell silent. Even those screaming in pain suddenly quieted, gritting their teeth not to attract attention, as if his presence was a silent command their bodies obeyed before their minds.
William walked among them without saying a word. His eyes were ice. His body, a silent threat. He didn’t have to speak, but everyone understood: the monster had returned and was utterly furious.
The mages lying on the floor were proof that there would be no mercy for all his enemies.
He approached Lia, who looked at him with tears in her eyes... but not from fear, but from relief, while William simply nodded before looking at everyone else and saying:
"Do you have something to say to my girlfriend?" His words echoed in the room, but no one dared to answer him; everyone, even those who had nothing to do with it, just lowered their heads.
Among the injured were those who had insulted him last time over the spells, meaning they now had two outstanding debts. Walking towards them, he grabbed one of the benches by its legs and threw it forcefully, causing the apprentices to groan in pain once more, but even after these blows, they didn’t get up. Instead, they remained curled on the floor, whimpering and gritting their teeth, trying to avoid contact with William.
"You’re quite energetic and brave intimidating my girlfriend, but when I show up, you act like a bunch of scared bitches with your dicks up your asses. This better not happen again, or next time I’ll make sure each and every one of you visits the infirmary with all your damn bones broken, you sons of bitches."
As William finished his words, the teacher entered, looking at the mess in the classroom, but said nothing, just walked to her desk Ignoring everyone as he clearly sighed in disappointment.
