The Play-Toy Of Three Lycan Kings
Chapter 43: Preparing For The Party
CHAPTER 43: PREPARING FOR THE PARTY
The first dress was short.
Naomi had tried all she could to convince me to wear the dress, but to no avail. I just wasn’t in tune with the dress.
The dress style just wasn’t for me. It’s not just that the dress is short. It also hung tight onto my whole curves. And as much as I wanted Adam’s eyes to remain glued to me this night, I wasn’t going to dress like an almost slut to the party. I would leave that style to my sister, Lilian, and Claire.
When we had gotten to Naomi’s home in the afternoon, her parents had been around, actually waiting for our return.
Her father, after acknowledging our greetings, had gone out to bring in the electronic bike which we had left at the side of the road, and her mother had spoiled us rotten with sumptuous dishes which according to her, she had made so that we won’t attend the party hungry.
She had left us to our devices too, citing a meeting that will be taking place at the pack house just before the party. I guessed they would join the party then from there, that would be including my parents. The meeting was probably about me.
Well, after I and Naomi had eaten, we had slumped to the bed, fast asleep within seconds, until two hours later when Timothy had woken us up with huge knocks on the door, accompanied by his father who had asked us if we were not attending the party again.
He had asked us to be up and moving since the party would soon start. Turns out, he had first gone to repair Naomi’s bike before going to the meeting.
"You know, Maya, the dress is not slutty. I wouldn’t tell you to wear it if it was so. It’s just short and cute. Well, since you don’t like it, you can try this one. I believe it will suit your taste. You will like it." Naomi said, taking the short gown from my hand and dropping it inside her box.
Afterward, she handed me a blue dress, a light blue dress with glittering diamond-like crystals adorning it. Yeah, this is better.
She is right. I think I will like it. The dress like the other hung to my curves, but it flowed down to my ankle. A relief.
It had a slit that tore from my thighs down. Not much though, just that it puts the task on the men folk to imagine what’s underneath the gown after the slit.
I wasn’t comfortable with it, but at least it was much preferred to the short one, which I had kept trying to drag down to my knees.
"Wow, you are looking beautiful, Maya. So beautiful. Adam would love it!" Naomi said, screaming the last clause, hastening to get her make up kit which was located in the lower compartment of her wardrobe. She wanted to make up my face.
Oh my! First time for this too. Cmon don’t be surprised. I didn’t have a mirror. Is it now a make up kit that I would have??
Sighing, I turned around, watching myself keenly in the mirror.
Naomi was right. The dress was beautiful. I looked quite mature for my age.
Where had she gotten all these dresses though? For what occasions?
I don’t think there has been any party in our pack for a while except the time when we had been celebrating the treaty that had been made between our king and some other supernatural leader.
But I was five then, and I believe that Naomi was the same. We would be in the same age grade. So, there was no way these gowns could have been bought then. She must be really proactive.
Well, it was good that she was. If not, what would I have worn to a party organized in my favor by the Lycan king?
My washed jeans and oversized polo? Even the king would be unhappy about that. He would think that I was blatantly disrespecting his goodwill.
"Here, sit down. Let me make you up, before I work on myself. The time for the party is almost here. Timothy would soon come knocking at the door.’’ Naomi muttered, gesturing to the chair with wheels in front of her dressing table.
I walked to it, a smile on my face as I remembered the look on Timothy’s face when his father had told him that he will be dropping I and Naomi at the party.
He had been aghast that he would be acting as our chauffeur for the night, but the seriousness of his father’s words left no room for argument.
When his eyes had met mine, it had softened, probably because of my relationship with Adam, or something else, I was not sure, but it only lasted for a second before it hardened again and he walked away.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he knocked at the door earlier than we had told him to in order to spite us. I knew he would have preferred to go alone earlier to the party so as to cruise with the lycan boys and perhaps snag a babe.
I doubt he is one of those that decided to keep themselves for their mate. His company didn’t, and so he wouldn’t. As they say, the company you roll with surely determines your character. It might take a while to form, but you will surely get there.
Just as I sat on the chair, a knock sounded on the door. Speak of the devil.
"Are you girls done? The party has already started?" That was Timothy of course, and he sounded impatient.
"Hurry Naomi, wear your clothes, I think I can make up myself." I said hastily to Naomi, pushing her with my hands, pointing to the wardrobe, but she shook her head, opened the kit and brought out the eye pencil and mascara.
"I will make up your face myself. My brother will have no choice but to wait. Now keep still." She said , cleaning my face with a wipe.
