CHAPTER 90: CHAPTER 90: HOW COULD THEY BEAR TO LEAVE

Ronan Keaton and his parents stepped forward, looking at the pale-faced person on the hospital bed with deep concern, no less than Elias Lancaster.

Ronan Keaton raised his hand, wanting to touch Serena Yeats’ face, but...

He held back.

This was his sister, his biological sister.

He had finally found his sister, and his eyes felt warm.

Elias Lancaster watched from the side, "Dad, Mom, you should go back and rest first. I’ll take care of things here."

There was no way Kian Keaton and Ruby Yates could leave at this moment. How could they bear to?

They had just recently learned that their daughter was still alive, almost separated by life and death.

How could they leave?

The group followed the nurse as they brought the person to the hospital room.

Elias Lancaster sat beside the hospital bed, his heart aching to the point of breaking.

He gently held Serena Yeats’ hand and leaned down to place a kiss on her forehead.

Darling, please wake up soon.

The Keaton Family watched Elias Lancaster’s actions and wanted to speak up to stop him, but they had no better reason to do so.

After all, they were legally married.

The Keaton Family sighed inwardly, feeling like their beloved daughter was taken away.

The hospital room was very quiet; the group stood there, and to Elias Lancaster, there was only Serena Yeats, as if everything else was air to him.

His entire heart was with the person on the hospital bed, just praying for her to wake up soon and get better quickly.

Meanwhile, Brandon Grayson looked at the person on the bed and then at Mrs. Keaton, realizing why he always felt a sense of familiarity the first time he met her.

He’d thought for a long time but couldn’t remember where he had met her before.

It turned out...

Little Minnie was right by his side.

Now that everyone was together, Kian Keaton looked at Brandon Grayson and then at Elias Lancaster.

After hesitating for a moment.

"Elias, Brandon, come over; we have something to discuss."

The group took a seat on the sofa in the hospital room to discuss an important matter.

Elias Lancaster didn’t want to let go of Serena Yeats’ hand at all, but hearing Kian Keaton’s tone, he reluctantly let go, stood up, and walked over.

After sitting down, Kian Keaton solemnly said, "We have a marriage agreement with The Grayson Family, which was set when they were young.

For years, we’ve talked with The Grayson Family about cancelling it, but out of respect, they’ve always refused.

It wasn’t until recently that when we mentioned it again, they agreed, but it was never formally proposed to dissolve the marriage agreement."

Elias Lancaster felt uneasy, not understanding why Kian Keaton brought this up now.

Elias Lancaster glanced at Brandon Grayson.

"Dad, Brandon is going to be a father too."

Everyone was surprised and looked at Brandon Grayson at Elias Lancaster’s words.

Brandon Grayson furrowed his brows and nodded.

He looked in the direction of the hospital bed, but in his mind, it was Nathan Sawyer’s stubborn face that surfaced.

Then.

"I did wrong in this matter; after she’s discharged, I’ll bring my parents to apologize in person and dissolve the marriage agreement."

Elias Lancaster breathed a sigh of relief.

However...

Kian Keaton shook his head.

"Apologizing should be us to your family; your family has been considerate of us all along, always delaying you..."

They discussed these things.

And finally, they decided the parents from both families would meet once and officially dissolve the marriage agreement.

With this decision made, Elias Lancaster returned to the bedside of Serena Yeats, looking at her pale face.

When his darling woke up and saw her family, she should be happy, right?

Ruby Yates shed tears as she looked at her daughter lying on the hospital bed.

"My little Minnie, mom... finally... found you."

As a child, Serena Yeats was born prematurely and was frail, enduring hardships until she was a year old, taking a long time to nurture her health up to two years old.

She was sobbing, reaching out to touch her face, but didn’t dare to, as if she were a fragile glass person, easily shattered.

She bowed her head, wiping away her tears.

"Dad, Mom, I’m sorry! I didn’t protect her well."

Elias Lancaster said with his head lowered.

He, the great Master Lancaster, had never bowed his head to anyone; this time, he lowered it, he was wrong.

"Don’t blame yourself too much; you’ve already done very well." Ruby Yates looked at Serena Yeats with such tenderness in her eyes.

Kian Keaton and Ronan Keaton, generously, directly moved chairs over, sitting beside the hospital bed, looking at the person they had found.

Brandon Grayson and Jensen Sterling said nothing, looking at how this family came together after so many years of searching.

The two quietly left the hospital room.

Ronan Keaton sighed. If only he had found little Minnie earlier, she wouldn’t have suffered so much.

The group looked at the person on the bed, their deep concern showing in their eyes.

Four people in the hospital room began to wait, waiting for Serena Yeats to wake up.

Darling, wake up soon; there’s a surprise waiting for you!

The sky outside darkened.

The person on the bed showed no sign of waking up.

Ronan Keaton once again urged Elias Lancaster to have something to eat.

Elias Lancaster responded.

He was about to get up.

Serena Yeats on the hospital bed stirred.

"Mm..."

She let out a low groan, slowly opening her eyes, seeing the white surroundings.

Her memory slowly returned.

Was she dead?

She felt pain from the wound on her abdomen.

She likely wasn’t dead, was she?

How could she feel pain if she were dead!

Elias Lancaster was the first to notice she had awakened, letting out a breath and raspily calling out.

Serena Yeats turned to look at him, "Elias."

She felt someone watching her and turned her head to the other side; she recognized Ronan Keaton, but the other two she didn’t, "Elias, who are they?"

Everyone felt relieved as they saw Serena Yeats had awakened.

Elias Lancaster spoke gently, "Darling, they’re your biological parents and brother, whom I mentioned to you last night."

Ronan Keaton quickly went to call the doctor for a check-up.

After confirming she was okay, Ruby Yates, her eyes puffy and red, gently held her hand, "Minnie, I’m your mom."

Serena Yeats looked cluelessly at Elias Lancaster.

Elias Lancaster held her hand, reassuring her, "It’s okay, darling, don’t be afraid; they’re your family. This is Kian Keaton, your father; this is Ruby Yates, your mother.

And this one, whom you know as Ronan Keaton, is my childhood friend, and he’s your brother."

Serena Yeats looked at them, tugging at Elias Lancaster.

Elias Lancaster leaned forward, "What’s wrong? Are you uncomfortable somewhere?"

Serena Yeats shook her head, "Elias, were they really careless when they lost me?"
