Chapter 93: I Don’t Want a Divorce
CHAPTER 93: CHAPTER 93: I DON’T WANT A DIVORCE
But then again, he thought.
Ever since Elias Lancaster returned from the hospital, he’s been very careful not to affect her recovery. He’s been quite well-behaved, helping her study, remaining quite well-behaved.
During this period, he’s only held her while sleeping, never crossing any boundaries.
She often felt he was restraining himself, yet he remained silent, and she pretended to be clueless.
She felt a sense of compassion for Elias Lancaster in her heart, so...
She bit her lip, closed her eyes, and pressed her lips onto his proactively, signaling her approval.
Elias Lancaster’s eyes flashed with surprise, and soon after, things spiraled out of control.
The car stopped in the hotel’s underground parking lot, the lights dim, occasionally brightened by passing vehicles, illuminating the interior.
Whenever Serena Yeats sensed the light, she felt tense all over, gripping Elias Lancaster tightly.
A moment later.
She couldn’t help but ask aloud, why was it taking so long?
Elias Lancaster wasn’t sure whether she was praising his endurance or complaining about him.
Serena Yeats regretted being so soft-hearted; how could a thirty-year-old man still have such stamina?
Finally.
Serena Yeats could no longer hold on and fainted outright.
After an uncertain amount of time, Elias Lancaster dressed her and carried her towards the hotel elevator.
In the hotel room, after bathing Serena Yeats, Elias Lancaster noticed the claw marks on himself in the mirror and chuckled.
After his bath, he returned to bed, cradling the soft, smooth figure in his arms, and his desire reignited.
He lowered his head to kiss the person in his arms, but there was no reaction.
He nibbled on her neck, but there was still no reaction.
Elias Lancaster sighed. Well, he’d let her off for now.
But.
In the days that followed, he went overboard.
Apart from having meals delivered, he constantly seemed to find an excuse to touch.
The Lancaster Family waited for Elias Lancaster to bring her home, but it didn’t happen for days.
The only news came from the bodyguard Sean Scott, who reported the couple had been staying in a hotel, yet hadn’t left.
Old Madam Lancaster cradled her grandson, scolding her son on the side.
"I tell you, this son of yours, isn’t he just like you were in your youth? Is Serena only his?
The J Keaton Family is waiting for their daughter to return for dinner, and there are two children waiting for their mom at home. He just took her away and never came back."
Old Master Lancaster held another grandchild, "You should say a few words less. Elias also has it tough; since getting married, he’s been busy. Now that he finally has time.
Shouldn’t you give Elias some time? Just think about how long it has been, undoubtedly difficult for him."
Old Madam Lancaster’s mouth twitched, glaring at him.
"Like father, like son."
Old Master Lancaster smiled, leaning in to whisper.
"Haven’t I changed now?"
Old Madam Lancaster glared at him.
"That’s because you’re old now. When you were young, there was no one worse than you, wasn’t there."
The servants overheard the conversation, blushing as they silently slipped away.
Serena Yeats woke up groggily, feeling a large hand wandering about her body.
She shivered, instantly awake, quickly grabbing his hand.
"What time is it now?"
Elias Lancaster flipped her over, pinning her beneath him.
"Whatever time it is, we have several days together. Dad’s managing at work; no one will disturb our time together."
But then...
"Ding-dong..."
The doorbell rang.
Serena Yeats felt as though help had arrived.
Elias Lancaster looked annoyed toward the door.
"Who?"
There was no answer, only the doorbell continually ringing.
Elias Lancaster’s face turned dark as ink; he tucked Serena Yeats snugly under the blankets before donning a robe to open the door.
His expression darkened with anger as he opened the door and hesitated briefly upon seeing who it was.
Ronan Keaton stood there expressionless, announcing solemnly.
"My dad asked me to relay a message."
Elias Lancaster could only motion for him to come inside.
Ronan Keaton glanced at the bedroom inside.
"Just say what you came to say."
Ronan Keaton sighed helplessly.
"My dad says if you don’t bring my sister back home soon, he’ll personally come to take her back to the J Keaton Family. Divorce isn’t a difficult matter."
Elias Lancaster’s mouth twitched; he knew it wasn’t good news.
Of course, he didn’t believe it.
But Serena Yeats believed it.
Her anxious voice came from the room.
"I don’t want to divorce."
Ronan Keaton squinted at Elias Lancaster, despite being childhood brothers; he wanted to beat him up.
"Brother, tell Dad I won’t divorce. I’m willing to stay with Elias."
Elias Lancaster walked into the room, climbed into bed, and hugged Serena Yeats.
"Your dad was joking."
Ronan Keaton was infuriated beyond measure.
"I’ve delivered the message; I’m leaving. You both remember to come home soon."
Serena Yeats now realized it was a joke and let out a breath of relief.
"Brother, tell Dad that tomorrow... I’ll come home in a couple of days, then I’ll bring Yara and Yuri back."
Serena Yeats didn’t know Elias Lancaster wanted to stay here a few more days, so she opted for saying a couple of days.
Elias Lancaster was endeared by his dear one.
Upon hearing the door close.
Elias Lancaster pressed her down for a fierce kiss.
"Uh..."
Serena Yeats exclaimed in surprise, feeling her sore waist.
Her body felt like it was falling apart; her waist and legs seemed no longer hers.
Elias Lancaster pulled her, letting her lie atop him, gently massaging her waist with a large hand.
"Does it feel better?"
Serena Yeats extended a hand, punching his chest lightly.
"It’s all your fault; if you don’t moderate yourself, I’ll go back to Mom and Dad’s."
"Darling, I’m sorry."
Elias Lancaster apologized sincerely, yet the hand massaging her waist grew more mischievous.
However, seeing Serena Yeats’ pale face, he restrained himself.
"Let’s go home; you’ve been worn out these days. We’ll rest well at home."
The warmth of Elias Lancaster’s hand was comforting, massaging her waist; she narrowed her eyes, feeling sleepy.
When Elias Lancaster carried Serena Yeats into the family home, Nanny Livingston joyously shouted.
"Young Master and Young Madam have returned."
Old Madam Lancaster excitedly rushed outside, finally awaiting the return of her daughter-in-law.
She’d been worrying daily, afraid the J Keaton Family would come to ask for Serena.
If her foolish son wasn’t careful and caused problems, how could they explain to the J Keaton Family?
After all, Serena was their treasured daughter they’d searched for over a decade!
Of course, she was also The Lancaster Family’s treasure!
However, seeing Elias Lancaster carrying Serena Yeats, Old Madam Lancaster’s eyes burned with anger.
"You foolish boy..."
Old Madam Lancaster forcefully slapped his shoulder, "You truly are..."
She wanted to curse him but ran out of words after thinking for a long time.
Elias Lancaster knew he’d gone overboard this time, but he couldn’t be blamed.
He’d been single for nearly thirty years; finally having a precious wife but often feeling like he couldn’t have her.
He’d finally seized the opportunity; shouldn’t he reward himself?
He carried Serena Yeats past Old Madam Lancaster, heading upstairs.
Back in the room, Elias Lancaster set her gently onto the bed, tucked her in, and kissed her lips while watching her sleep sweetly.
Only then did he head to the study to make a call to Ronan Keaton.
Ronan Keaton explained his parents’ thoughts concisely, and Elias Lancaster agreed.
"Let’s finalize it then."
"Alright."
After the call ended.
He opened a drawer to retrieve a box, pondering asking for her hand once more.
