Qi Lang grunted, said nothing, and went inside.

Gu Chuan called out from outside, "Sis, someone is looking for you."

Gu Yunjiao came out of the kitchen, raised her eyebrows in surprise, "Manager Wang, why have you come?"

Manager Wang’s expression brightened upon seeing Gu Yunjiao, "Luckily, I found the right place."

"I first went to your parental home, then learned that you married into Qingshan Village."

He smiled at Gu Yunjiao, "Uncle has a favor to ask of you."

Gu Yunjiao nodded, "Please, tell me, and I’ll see if I can help."

Manager Wang spoke in a low voice, "Some time ago, Chief Qian at the government office developed an abscess behind his neck. He went to my pharmacy and got medicine from Doctor Liu."

"He took the medicine and applied the ointment, but it still didn’t get better."

"He came to my place today, saying he wanted to smash up my shop."

"I’m really out of options here. I remember the kid saying this last time; you cured his illness, so I’d like you to take a look at him. I’m really desperate."

If he had any other option, he wouldn’t have come to seek help from a young girl.

Just then, Mr. Jiang came over.

He entered from outside and recognized Manager Wang from the pharmacy at a glance.

He anxiously turned to Gu Yunjiao, "Can you help rescue Uncle?"

"If you’re willing, let’s go right now."

"I’m afraid if we delay, Chief Qian will smash my pharmacy."

Gu Yunjiao nodded, "Alright, I’ll go with you."

She shouted towards the kitchen, "Ah Tie, bring out my medicine box and go with me on a house call."

Ah Tie responded, bringing the medicine box out from the house. Gu Yunjiao then spoke towards Mrs. Chen’s room, "Mother, I’m going with Manager Wang to the county for a house call."
