The Prince Wants to Assassinate Me Every Day
Chapter 763 - 349: Rescue, Meeting (Part 2)
CHAPTER 763: CHAPTER 349: RESCUE, MEETING (PART 2)
"Yes." All special forces obey the command.
"This is a map of Muge City. Familiarize yourselves with it one last time. As per my earlier arrangements, after we go up, we’ll split into three groups to enter the Dungeon, ensuring cover and conducting the rescue operation."
"Yes."
Lin Qianyu gave them one last moment, then signaled with his hand.
The special forces rapidly scaled the city wall.
Astonishingly fast, they made almost no sound.
The patrolling soldiers outside the city gates didn’t notice a thing happening in this corner.
The special forces clad in black lay atop the city wall for a while, all members ready.
With a flipped leap.
The patrolling soldiers atop the wall, six in total, were instantly subdued!
Then they quickly hid in the shadows, waiting for the second patrol team to arrive.
Everyone held their breath, listening to the footsteps.
Three-two-one!
Lin Qianyu signaled the command with his hand.
Everyone leaped into action.
With no effort at all, six men were swiftly taken down.
"Change clothes!" Lin Qianyu ordered.
Everyone hurriedly changed out of their black night gear, donning the uniforms of the Beimu army.
Meanwhile, they hid the bodies of all the Beimu soldiers they had taken down.
After the preparations were complete.
Two of them stood guard here, ready to respond.
The other eight split into two groups, each performing their duties.
Lin Qianyu led the other three straight towards the Dungeon.
As they were wearing the uniforms of the Beimu army, no one stopped them.
They arrived at the entrance of the Dungeon.
"What are you doing?!" the prison guard asked coldly.
"The Prince has ordered his subordinates to check on the hostages from Daxuan Kingdom!"
The prison guard looked dubious.
The two people imprisoned here were of utmost importance; not a single mistake was tolerable.
"Why isn’t the Prince himself here?" asked the prison guard.
The so-called Prince was clearly Mu Junze’s closest guard.
Normally, he would be the one to carry out the Prince’s commands for important matters.
"The Prince has commanded the General to guard the city gates to prevent any enemy incursion, to ensure no failings. Therefore, he ordered his subordinate to check on the hostages. Please do not delay the Prince’s command and open the prison door," Lin Qianyu spoke with a cold face and in a commanding tone.
The prison guard scrutinized Lin Qianyu up and down once more.
Seeing the rigid expression on Lin Qianyu’s face,
he slowly opened the large gate, "Please, my lord."
Lin Qianyu nodded slightly, exuding a powerful presence.
He prepared to enter with the other three.
"My lord, the Prince has decreed that at any time only one person can enter the Dungeon," the prison guard spoke up.
Lin Qianyu responded, "You wait here for me."
"Yes!"
The other three had no choice but to comply.
They still felt somewhat anxious.
At this moment, they didn’t dare to communicate, for fear of giving themselves away.
Lin Qianyu walked into the Dungeon.
The Dungeon was deep.
He had only been to this place before but had never actually entered.
After all, this kind of place was under stricter guard; if it wasn’t necessary, he wouldn’t risk himself.
As he walked in,
there were two prison guards following him.
He glanced around. The Dungeon wasn’t large, and there weren’t many cells, just a few, and most were empty.
That meant, inside this Dungeon, there were only the Princess and General Bai.
The number of guards watching the prison was not high either.
Ten men.
If he disregarded the others, he could take them down.
But protecting the Princess and General Bai would be very difficult.
He halted his steps.
He saw Bai Mowan.
There were two guards standing at Bai Mowan’s door.
So these two were the real opponents.
Lin Qianyu remained composed.
"Sir, the person you want to see is here," the prison guard said.
Lin Qianyu nodded.
He walked directly towards the guard and asked, "How is she?"
The guard glanced at Lin Qianyu.
Lin Qianyu stated plainly, "The Prince sent me to check on her condition, fearing there might be issues."
"Other than not eating much, everything is normal."
"Hasn’t eaten?" Lin Qianyu raised an eyebrow.
"We forced some water into her; she won’t die," the guard stated bluntly.
"Well, that’s good. She is a person of utmost importance to our nation’s victory in the war against Daxuan Kingdom. We can’t afford even the slightest error; otherwise, no one would be able to bear the consequences," Lin Qianyu said coldly, showing an imposing demeanor.
The guard, having never seen this person but sensing the tone, felt like this was someone they couldn’t afford to offend.
The guard hastily said, "Yes, we will take good care of her."
"What about the other one?" Lin Qianyu asked.
"In the cell next door," the guard pointed casually.
Lin Qianyu looked over.
There were no guards at the door of that cell.
It was just as the Prince had said; they paid more attention to Bai Mowan and were much more lax with the Princess.
Lin Qianyu walked past the guard.
And then stopped in front of Ye Qichi.
Bai Mowan was lying prone on the ground, motionless.
Even as he spoke with the guard, there was no reaction from her.
She seemed as if her soul had left her body.
Defeated and dejected.
However, the moment Lin Qianyu saw Ye Qichi, it was clear to him the Princess was different.
She was vibrant, not at all like someone who had been imprisoned.
It looked like she was ready to escape at any moment.
He shifted his gaze slightly, careful not to make eye contact with the Princess.
Naturally, Ye Qichi also did not make eye contact with Lin Qianyu.
Having heard the noise just now, she had vaguely recognized it to be Lin Qianyu, but seeing him in person still came as a bit of a surprise.
How could Lin Qianyu have arrived here so effortlessly?
She had indeed anticipated that Xiao Jinxing would send someone to rescue them.
After all, whether or not there was a rescue attempt, Bai Mowan would not be in danger, because Bai Mowan was useful. Even if Xiao Jinxing further enraged Mu Junze and Xiao Jinsen, Bai Mowan would not be killed.
As for her.
Truthfully, it was hard to say.
To Mu Junze and Xiao Jinsen, she wasn’t very useful; if they were truly provoked, it wouldn’t be impossible for them to take out their anger on her.
Of course, Lin Qianyu making such a choice didn’t surprise her at all.
In Xiao Jinxing’s mind, Bai Mowan’s life was the most important; everyone else was merely secondary.
If it was convenient to save others, they would be saved; if not, they wouldn’t be.
It all depended on their own fate.
Ye Qichi didn’t think too much about it.
She still gave Lin Qianyu a look.
The meaning was to save Bai Mowan first.
Lin Qianyu also understood Ye Qichi’s intent.
With his back to Ye Qichi, he turned his head as if to speak to the prison guard, but in reality, he used hand gestures to pass on a message.
The message was that he would first go to save Bai Mowan and that if she saw a chance, she should take the opportunity to leave first.
"These two are very important hostages; you must watch them closely, no mistakes can be made!" Lin Qianyu instructed the prison guard.
"Yes, sir, rest assured, we will take good care of them," the prison guard responded respectfully and promptly.
"When is the shift change?" Lin Qianyu asked. "After the change, I want to personally give them a briefing."
"Sir, the shift change is in half an hour."
"Good," Lin Qianyu nodded, "You have my gratitude for your hard work during this half an hour."
"Yes."
After giving his instructions, Lin Qianyu left the Dungeon.
Once outside, he also took the other three people with him and left.
Then they quickly hid in an unoccupied corner to discuss the next steps in their strategy.
