The Protagonist System
459 A Little Innocent Playing
Have you ever seen an adventurer's guild's staff be shocked? I have a few times and it's just as hilarious as it was the first time. Rem proudly took three quarters of the top of the quest board's notices and plunked them down on the counter in front of the dog-girl receptionists and then dug through the nine full sacks of things we had to pull out each of the creatures and ingredients they wanted, including the supposedly fake one that brought us to the Man-Eating Forest in the first place.
The dog-girls screamed when she pulled out the 60 foot long Madara snake and it took up half of the space on the second floor. Sylvie the bunny-girl that was the head of the Guild made an appearance and saw the mass of quests we were trying to claim. She gave me a very pointed look and told Rem to stop and the others would be paid out without her having to show proof.
Rem and Shera cheered and they had to empty one of the sacks to put all of the money inside. Sylvie ordered me to cut off the snake's head for the eyes and to take the rest back. I did so and asked if she needed to speak to us privately, and she shook her head before telling us to go. We had given her enough to deal with already and she didn't need any more.
I stored everything and Rem and Shera walked down the stairs and out of the Guild Hall with their heads held high. They had a money sack filled with enough gold to buy a small country and were very proud of themselves.
That proudness carried them all the way over to the Mage's Association building near the middle of town under the Lightning Tower. Rem didn't bother trying to tell us to wait at the reception desk as she went to confront Celestine about her guard trying to kill us. We went with her and Rem produced the fake quest, which the Adventurer's Guild paid out and the Mage's Association would be billed for.
Celes did not look happy at seeing it, or that her organization was used to set a trap for the one person she had done her best to protect. That was when Rem pulled out the frozen corpse of Gulluk as proof of who it was that was behind it. Celes sighed sadly and promised she would make sure that none of the people working for her would ever do anything like that again.
I pointed out that if her guard, that knew some of the same things she did, that it made sense that Rem's life was in more danger than either of them suspected. Even if he didn't know she was a vessel for a demon lord's soul, just having her killed as a consequence of trying to get revenge on me for humbling him, was the worst outcome for everyone, especially the Mage's Association.
Celes again promised she would do everything she could to protect Rem's secret, except it rang hollow. Why? Because the same guards she would have assigned to her had tried to have her killed to remove any witnesses. I gave her a very disappointed look, as did Rem, and we left her office feeling let down.
It didn't take us long to go back to the inn and Mei greeted us warmly at the receptionist desk. Rem handed her three more gold coins told her that we were staying in the top room for the rest of the month. Mei took the coins and agreed, then led us into the dining area and took our meal orders.
Shera was giggling the whole time she was eating, because she was too excited about her reward for winning my little contest. When the time came, she ordered two large pieces of cake with extra frosting and then dug into them with enthusiasm that should have made a huge mess and covered her face and hands in frosting. She managed to get it all into her mouth and looked quite pleased with herself for it, too.
Since she had stuffed herself, I offered to carry her up to our room. She blushed and thought about it, then remembered I had carried Rem up the day before and agreed. The blush stayed on her face all the way up the stairs and I sat her on the bed. Rem gave us a look and then gave me a very pointed look.
“Don't worry, I won't peek.” I said and turned around to face my own bed and slowly stripped myself off the long way. I caught a whiff of something a little rank and let out a laugh. When was the last time I had an actual bath?
I walked over to the center of the room and took out a large cast iron tub, enlarged it, filled it with hot water and suds, the same magical ones from the Prefect's bath in Hogwarts castle, then climbed in. I let out a loud sigh and relaxed against the side as I closed my eyes. A moment later, the water shifted and I felt two people climb in with me. I opened one eye and saw they were both naked.
“Oh, my goodness.” Shera said and sank down to her chin as she gave herself over to the hot bath. The magical suds did their work cleaning her without her having to move and she sighed happily and rested her head on my shoulder.
“Why does it tingle?” Rem asked and her ears twitched as the suds cleaned her.
“It's what they do.” I said and closed my eye. “I can't remember the last time I indulged like this.”
Rem didn't say anything and seemed to not do anything, then the water sloshed and I felt her head on my other shoulder and her ear flicked and tickled my neck. Instead of mentioning it, I pulled my arms up out of the water and put them over their shoulders and hugged them. Rem squeaked in surprise and Shera hummed happily and cuddled in.
We stayed there for a long time, just relaxing and enjoying the hot bath, the water never losing it's soothing temperature. Neither Rem nor Shera were surprised by it or that they weren't all wrinkly or water-logged when we finally decided to get out and go to bed. I handed them large pink fluffy towels and Shera giggled as she used hers to dry off and Rem gave me a deadpan stare at handing her something so girly.
I dried myself off with my own pink towel and then pulled out a pair of boxer shorts and climbed into my bed alone. Both girls gave each other a look, then didn't bother trying to pretend they were going to go to bed on the large four poster. They dug through their bags to put on a spare pair of panties and loose tops, then climbed onto my bed with me and tucked themselves to my chest and pulled my arms around them to make me hug them.
I turned my head to kiss Rem on the top of her head, making her blush, then I turned and kissed Shera's head as well. She didn't blush as she lifted her head and gave me a pointed look, then she smiled and cuddled back in. That was the way we stayed for the rest of the night.
*
I woke when someone's fingertips gently caressed me down there. No light was coming in through the window, so it was well before dawn. I sprang up and realized my boxer shorts were gone, since there was no resistance that a telltale tent pole would have.
“Is it supposed to do that when we touch it?” Shera asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Yes, now be quiet.” Rem admonished her. “It'll be embarrassing if he wakes up and finds us checking him out like this.”
Both of them turned their head to look at me. Since I was watching them with X-Ray Vision, they only saw my closed eyes when they looked at my sleeping face. They both relaxed and went back to admiring me.
“It looks soooo pretty.” Shera breathed and her fingertips caressed the shaft. She licked her lips and her thoughts were clearly shown on her face.
“You can't.” Rem said and poked her forehead. “There's no way he'll sleep through it if you... do... that.”
“But, I wanna try tasting it.” Shera whined. “Can I at least lick it a little? He won't wake up from that, will he?”
Rem looked conflicted. “I don't know.” She said and looked at it herself and her tiny hand reached over and she used a single fingertip to swirl around the tip. It twitched for her and she caught her breath as she tensed up and looked right at my face, then she relaxed again because I hadn't moved.
“Maybe if we both... you know, on either side... he won't notice.” Shera proposed.
“Neither of us has done anything like this before, so how do you know that?” Rem asked and gave her a deadpan look. “It might be as bad as you taking it right in your mouth.”
Shera pouted. “But, it's right there. I know it wants me to suck it. Can't you feel it calling to you?”
Rem's look didn't change and Shera sighed.
“Then what should we do? He's going to wake up hard and he'll know we did something to him to get it that way.” Shera said, wisely.
Rem let out another sigh. “All right, we can try...”
“Yes!” Shera cheered.
“SHHH!” Rem hushed her.
“Right, sorry.” Shera said and looked embarrassed.
“We can try just laying our tongues on it, okay?” Rem asked. “And no licking.”
Shera pouted and then sighed as well. “Okay. Just tongue touching.”
“No licking.” Rem repeated.
“No licking.” Shera promised. She was totally lying, though. As soon as her tongue touched it, she was going to properly taste it. Licking, nuzzling, and maybe even a little suckling. She wasn't sure why she felt like it would be fun to do so, she just knew it would be.
“On three.” Rem whispered and the two of them leaned in and laid their heads on my hips. The two of them took in long slow sniffs and their ears twitched. “One...”
Shera ignored her and laid her tongue against the side of the shaft. Rem gasped and darted her head forward to lay her tongue against it, only the silky hardness was much warmer than she ever thought it could be. It was almost hot against her tongue and she closed her eyes as she tried to figure out why it felt so good.
With her eyes closed, Rem missed Shera taking full advantage of her not looking and lapped at the skin, gave it several kisses, and moved down to nuzzle my balls. She almost wallowed in them and rubbed her face against them before she gently sucked on the one on her side.
By the time Rem opened her eyes, Shera's half of my hardness had a good layer of her saliva on it. Rem tried to glare at her and Shera gave her an unrepentant grin.
“It's so warm and tasty.” Shera whispered and rested her head on my hip again. “Try it.”
Rem sighed and flicked her tongue at it, then did it again, then she almost repeated what Shera did and worked her way down to my balls and then sucked on the one on her side soe several seconds. She moved back up to rest her head on my hip and Shera gave her a smug look.
“I told you.” Shera said, contentedly.
“I hate admitting when you're right.” Rem told her.
“Now we just have to clean up... um... wait, wasn't he supposed to like shoot off something?” Shera asked.
“That only happens if we do enough to make it happen.” Rem told her, clearly knowing a little more about it than the elf woman.
“Oh, okay.” Shera said and used a hand to pick my hardness up and slipped her mouth right over the tip and started sucking.
Ren gasped and sat up to stare at me, only to relax again when I didn't react. She laid back down and looked at the blonde elf. “Are you trying to kill me with shock?”
Shera giggled as she pulled her mouth off of me and pointed my hardness to her. “It tastes like the cake from dessert.”
“It does not.” Rem denied. “You're just trying to make me a degenerate like you.”
Shera wagged me at her friend. “You won't know if I'm lying until you tryyyy iiiiit.”
Rem glared at her; but, there was no heat in it. She let out a little huff and leaned forward, probably only to try and take one little taste, and Shera grabbed her hair and shoved her head down half of my length instead. Rem looked shocked as the elf bobbed her up and down several times before she let her go.
“See? It tastes like frosting.” Shera said, proudly.
Rem glared at her, only she didn't try to lift herself off of me. Her tongue did flick out and gave the tip several probing licks, and she hummed at the taste. She closed her eyes and started bobbing on her own.
“Who's the degenerate now?” Shera asked and looked smug, then looked confused. “What degenerate mean, anyway?”
Rem laughed and almost choked, pulled her mouth off of me, and kept laughing and coughing. This was when I decided they needed a reward for going so far on their own and I made myself blow a huge load, like a geyser. Both women stared and had their mouths open as I splashed it all over my belly, their faces, and I even managed to get some on their chests by twitching myself between shots.
Shera was the first to close her mouth and she moaned, then she quickly wiped up the mess on her breasts and sucked it into her mouth, licked her lips, and started licking at my belly.
Rem stared at her friend kind of losing herself in the taste, then she closed her mouth and moaned as well. She did the same thing, cleaned off her chest and her face, then she dropped her head onto my harness and cleaned the rest of the mess up.
Shera finished first and moved up only a little to rest her head on my chest. “That... was... absolutely delicious.”
Rem, knowing her friend loved the taste of food, had to agree with her. “It was.” She said and moved up to lay her head back on my chest as well. The two of them exchanged happy looks and went right back to sleep, not realizing I cast a sleep spell on them. I cleaned us up with a spell as well, jut so they weren't sticky or icky when they woke up later. The last thing I needed was for to regret what they did.
I laid there and felt a little proud that they felt so comfortable with me that they could explore so much and not feel guilty about it. The truth about that might be in the morning and if they admit to what they did. Would they say something right away or would they keep it a secret? As far as they know, I don't know that they had helped themselves to my body like that.
My bet is on Shera giving it away and embarrassing Rem about it. It just seems like something the enthusiastic blonde elf would do and not even realize it. Then again, it seemed like she played up the dumb blonde trope a lot more than she had to, too. I mean, a completely clueless blonde couldn't use her large breasts as weapons of distraction successfully, could she?

The next morning, my morals test was delayed because a message came from Sylvie, the tiny rabbit-girl that ran the Adventurer's Guild. We had to report to her as soon as possible and we quickly dressed and headed to the Guild Hall and up to her office.
Sylvie wore the same white dress as always and she looked chagrined, which meant distressed or humiliated, as she presented us with a very simple delivery request with a very high payout.
“It's from the Mage's Association, issued by Celestine Baudelaire herself.” Sylvie told us.
Rem barely looked at it as she handed it back. “I'm not doing it.” She said. Her ears were flat and her tail wasn't swishing at all as it hung limply behind her.
“She requested your party specifically.” Sylvie reminded us.
“Is she trying to pay us off after for one of her guards tried to kill us?” I asked and took the quest notice. “Whoa, that's a lot of gold.”
Shera took it from me next. “It really is a simple request. Deliver refreshments to the Fort Bridge Ulug.”
Sylvie put a large basket on her desk and lifted the cloth to show off several bottles of wine.
“I refuse to accept her charity.” Rem said and waved a hand at the paper. “If she wanted to bribe us to stay quiet, why didn't she do it yesterday?”
“Probably because we cast doubt on all of the gathering quests the Mage's Association has ever issued to the Adventurer's Guild.” I said and Sylvie nodded. “No one is going to take them until people start to forget about what happened to us; and even then, they'll question if it's a real one or if someone is setting them up to die.”
“I suspect a lot of the quests from them are going to have higher payouts for a while.” Sylvie said.
Rem shook her head. “She knows how I feel about accepting her help and she's still choosing to do things like this anyway. I won't accept it.”
I sighed and handed the paper back to the guild leader. “Will you be giving this to anyone else?”
“No. If your party refuses, then it will remain incomplete and will be added to the pile of unfinished quests and recorded as failed.” Sylvie answered. “It has to be done by noon today or never.”
Shera made a sad sound and ducked her head. “I don't want a failed quest on my record.”
“If we don't leave right away, we'll fail it anyway because we won't reach them in time.” I said and glanced at Rem. She avoided my gaze and looked away.
“Will you be mad at us if we do it?” Shera asked her, quite bluntly. “The soldiers there might really need this wine.”
Rem sighed at the obvious lie and shook her head. “You can do whatever you want.”
I walked over to her and put my arms around her to hug her. She didn't fight me and let me cuddle her. “I'd leave Shera behind to keep you company; but, I need someone to show me where to go.”
“You can use an expert guide for that.” Sylvie offered.
“For free?” Rem asked, her voice muffled slightly by my chest.
Sylvie let out a little laugh. “Of course not.”
“Then no. I can handle staying here alone for the day.” Rem said and lifted her head from my chest and stepped back. I let her go and she nodded as her tail started swishing normally. My hug had worked to lift her spirits.
“Are you sure? Because we need to go right now.” Shera said and took the quest paper and put it in the basket.
“Yes, you can go.” Rem told her.
“We'll bring you back something nice.” Shera said and grabbed the basket. “Let's go, Atlas.”
“We won't be gone for as long as you think.” I said to Rem and she smiled, because she knew I'd make another teleportation circle there, just like I had at Starfall Tower.
“Be safe and don't trust any strangers you see come in here.” Shera said and took my hand with her free one.
Rem rolled her eyes at her friend. “I'm not staying here in Sylvie's office.”
“Really? Why not?” Shera asked, a little confused.
“Because she's the head of the guild and has more important things to do than letting me hang out here all day bothering her.” Rem said and walked over to the office door.
“Unfortunately, that's true.” Sylvie said, sadly.
I knew by her thoughts that she wouldn't mind having some company for a while, possibly for a meal. “We could met up back here later this afternoon and maybe go for something to eat?”
“I'd like that!” Shera exclaimed and dragged me over to the door that Rem held open. “Bye, Sylvie! I'd wave but my hands are full!”
Sylvie laughed and waved. “Goodbye, Shera L. Greenwood.”
Shera beamed a smile at her and the three of us left the office and went down the stairs and outside.
“Don't worry about us travelling so far away from you.” I said and Rem looked surprised before she gave me an odd look. “If you ever need us, just say my name and we'll be there for you.”
Rem's odd look disappeared and she blushed as she remembered my promise to never leave her. “Okay.”
We split up and Shera started humming a song I didn't know as we walked at a fast pace towards the city gate along the same road that the Starfall Tower's road was attached to.
