Chapter 192 She’s the Miracle Doctor?

Chapter 192 She’s the Miracle Doctor?

Andrew knew full well he couldn’t take on Mason alone. He secretly reached out to a few shareholders still loyal to Lucas, hoping to persuade them to sway the others.

But just as he was getting in touch with them, his phone rang. It was Benjamin.

    “Lucas’s condition just got worse!”

Andrew’s heart dropped. He abandoned everything else and raced back to Lucas’s

    estate.

When he arrived, he found Benjamin standing by the bed, brow furrowed,

expression grim. Lucas was still unconscious, his face even paler than before. His breathing had be shallow and erratic.

“Dr. Benjamin, what’s happening to Mr. Hawthorne?” Andrew asked, his voice tight with panic.

Benjamin turned around, his tone heavy. “The poison has spread throughout his body. His condition is more critical than ever. If we can’t find the antidote soon, I’m afraid…”

He didn’t finish the sentence, but Andrew didn’t need him to. His chest tightened. He frantically tried calling Sloane, but all he got was the robotic message tone.

“Come on, answer… please answer… Ms. Rivers, I’m begging you, pick up!” Andrew paced the room in a panic.

Benjamin, confused by Andrew’s desperation, asked, “In a situation like this, shouldn’t we focus on saving Lucas? What’s the point of calling Sloane?”

He could tell Lucas had feelings for her, but now wasn’t the time for love stories- this was life and death.

He continued, “There’s someone called the Miracle Doctor who cured rk’s condition. Her skills are nothing short of miraculous. If we can get her here, maybe Lucas still has a chance.”

He had already reached out to the hospital director to see if they could help track down the Miracle Doctor.

But Andrew only became more agitated.

After a few more seconds of pacing, he finally confessed, “Sloane is the Miracle Doctor.”

“What? Sloane is the Miracle Doctor?” Tessa suddenly pushed the door open, having overheard everything outside. She looked just as stunned as Benjamin.

She rushed over to Andrew. “Where is she now? As long as she’s willing to save my grandson, I’ll give her anything she wants.”

Andrew had no choice but to exin everything–how Sloane had been kidnapped, how Lucas risked everything to rescue her, and how she had used acupuncture to temporarily halt the spread of the poison.

“She said only Septoherb can save Mr. Hawthorne,” Andrew said, clutching his head in frustration. “I’ve sent people to look for it, but there’s been no news. And after that night… Ms. Rivers disappeared.”

“Don’t tell me she ran away?” Tessa’s voice tightened with fear.

Benjamin was still trying to process the revtion that Sloane was the Miracle Doctor. Now, hearing Tessa’s concern, his face darkened again. If Sloane had truly fled, then there was little hope for Lucas.

Maybe she feared the Hawthorne family would me her–so she ran before they could retaliate?

“Noi,” /iAndrew said firmly, fists clenched. He forced himself to believe in Lucas’s judgment. “She’s the one who woke Mr. Hawthorne when he first fell unconscious. And she’s been giving him acupuncture treatments all this time. She wouldn’t just abandon him.”

That’s right–Sloane had incredible medical skill, and she was still in partnership with Lucas. There’s no way she’d walk away now. She must’ve gone off to find a way to help him.

Tessa wasn’t as optimistic. After all, people’s hearts are hard to predict.

As they spoke, Lucas’s body suddenly convulsed. A mouthful of blood spilled from his lips, soaking the bed sheets in red.

Benjamin’s face changed instantly. He rushed to Lucas’s side to check his vitals.

“This is bad! The poison has reached his heart. He’s in critical danger!”
