The Red Dragon Just Wants To Do As It Pleases

CHAPTER 383: CHAPTER 240: PATRICIDE DRAGON_3
"So, you mean we let this scandal escalate and spread, preferably ’directly’ to Dragon Island? Considering how much Dragon Island values its reputation, they’d most likely..."
David’s smile suddenly turned wicked.
"Exactly. When I first arrived in Elariya, I heard from the High Elves about a scandal involving the Swietlanden clan.
"The protagonist was a Silver Dragon named Attilicia, mind you, who was ’forcibly naturalized’ by the Crimson Calamity on the shores of Skanis.
"He didn’t have much choice in the matter, and I’ve never heard of Swietlanden making a big fuss about it.
"Instead, it was Attilicia’s friends and family who got themselves entangled, one after another, and in the end, his parents had to step in and pay a hefty sum to ransom him back.
"So, I think if we play this right, not only can we secure a talented Silver Dragon for the clan, but we might even be able to extract a significant ’ransom’ from Dragon Island."
With these words, a hush fell over the entire court.
The dragons looked at David as if he were no different from a Devil from Barto Hell.
Was this insidious scheme truly concocted by a dragon?
And yet, it seemed highly plausible; after all, there was historical precedent.
Dragon Island just eats this stuff up.
Before the dragons could even voice their opinions, Sebriz, feeling betrayed by their gazes, cried out tragically, "AH! No! I don’t want to! I don’t want to marry into their family! My journey, Sebriz’s journey, is to the stars and the vast oceans! It’s for countless dragons, beauties of all races, to spread my seed across the world! AAAAAH!"
Seeing this previously unyielding young Silver Dragon finally defeated, the dragons in the court couldn’t help but smile in satisfaction.
Patrice, the clan chief, immediately made his decision. Patricio’s father could only stare blankly, looking as if he had suffered a devastating loss. "It’s settled then," Patrice announced. "But we still need to hear Patricio’s opinion. Call him over."
After a long while, Patricio arrived in the eerily silent court. He seemed somewhat distracted. Upon seeing Sebriz, who appeared still ’unharmed’ and tied to a pillar, his eyes lit up, a mix of relief and pleasure washing over him.
David watched Patricio’s reaction, his own gaze growing even more mischievous.
Patrice took a deep breath and conveyed their recently discussed plan to the dazed Patricio. "This is the current situation," he said. "What do you think?"
As Patricio’s father desperately shook his head, silently urging his son not to agree, Patricio’s first reaction was an uncontrollable burst of joy. He quickly suppressed it, feigning a sorrowful demeanor. His gaze, however, slowly fell upon Sebriz, who was offering a sheepish smile. A vicious grin, like that of someone ’bravely making a noble sacrifice,’ spread across Patricio’s lips.
"This all started because of me," Patricio declared, "and naturally, it should end with me. For the honor of the Olivalyres clan, I, Patricio, am willing to ’sacrifice’ myself. However, there’s one condition I cannot compromise on: it won’t be Sebriz marrying into our clan. It must be me, Patricio, taking the Silver Dragon Sebriz as my spouse!"
Following Patricio’s impassioned speech, the court once again lapsed into silence.
"Then it shall be so," sighed Patrice, the Blue Dragon clan chief, making the decision then and there.
"WAAH!" Sebriz, whose fate had just been sealed, immediately started shedding tears like tiny pearls.
"You!" Patricio’s father, an aging dragon, was instantly so enraged that his Magic Power went haywire. Blood oozed from his scales as he fainted.
"Dad!" Only then did Patricio, the ’Father-Breaker’ Blue Dragon, belatedly cry out in shock.
