Ji Niandong’s mind was in chaos too. She held Zheng MiMi tightly; they pressed together as if supporting each other. She looked around. This was a residential area. Surely someone would hear them and call for help, right?

With this thought, Ji Niandong shouted at the top of her lungs, "Help! Help!"

The group watched her shout calmly. Once they were sure no one responded, the leader signaled, "Take them away!"

The men surged forward, dragging the two of them out.

"Sister Tong, what should we do? I’m so scared," Zheng MiMi said, her legs so weak she couldn’t walk, utterly dragged by others.

Ji Niandong’s legs were also trembling, "Where are you taking us?"

She tried to say as much as she could, hoping the person on the other end of the line would pick up and hear.

"Stop with the nonsense. Keep talking and we’ll finish you off right here!" The group was uncooperative.

If they were just local thugs after money or lust, they wouldn’t leave this range. Once outside the alley, someone would undoubtedly notice. However, they clearly intended to take her away from here.

As they entered a wide alleyway, they saw a van parked to the side. Two people went up to open its doors, and everyone got in one by one. The ones dragging the two women shoved them inside. "Damn it, two useless women and we need so many people for them," one of them cursed with disdain, clearly not taking them seriously. He loosened his grip a bit, and Ji Niandong seized the chance, ducking her head to bite hard onto the arm holding Zheng MiMi. Then she pushed Zheng MiMi away, "Mi’er, run!"

Zheng MiMi fell to the ground, dazed for a moment and then heard Ji Niandong shout again, "Go get help!"

Only then did she scramble to her feet and run away. The person above them was about to pursue, but the driver said, "Forget it, we’ve got who we came for. If we don’t leave now, someone will really find out!"

The person reluctantly shoved Ji Niandong inside, then slammed the van door and kicked her, "Damn bitch, you dared to bite me!"
