"Let’s snatch the core if we can." The girl said.

Bai Xifeng, who was searching for the water source, was suddenly forced to face another beast. It was a lion. It looked at Bai Xifeng like she was its meal.

The lion roared at Bai Xifeng and pounced on Bai Xifeng. It bared its teeth toward Bai Xifeng. Bai Xifeng blocked the lion with her sword and kicked the lion.

The lion avoided the kick by jumping back, putting some distance between itself and Bai Xifeng. A minute later, the lion rushed toward Bai Xifeng again. It raised its paw to slice Bai Xifeng with its thick nails.
