"I am smelling something delicious here. Are you eating something?" The man asked.

"Why don’t you leave something behind?" One of the women asked.

"Why should I leave?" Bai Xifeng asked back.

"In case you encounter us." The woman said.

Bai Xifeng looked at the women like they were idiots. She did not want to stay here any longer. Otherwise, the stupidity would affect her, too.

’Tao-chan, we are leaving. Hurry up.’ Bai Xifeng said.

Taotie jumped onto Bai Xifeng’s shoulder.

"Wow, what is that?" One of the women saw Taotie.

"What? Is this your contracted beast?" Another said. Her tone was amused and mocking.

"Look at its small figure. It is useless in a fight. One chance per life, and you waste the chance for something like that."

"Stop saying something like that. To have a contracted beast is expensive."

"She probably decided on this beast because of something."

Bai Xifeng thought there was no point in staying here anymore. So, she turned around and wanted to leave.

’It is the beast tide.’ Taotie said while looking afar.

Hearing Taotie had tossed the heads away, Bai Xifeng rushed to dig the cores out of the heads.
