CHAPTER 68: SHE HAS TO LEAVE

Olivia’s POV...

"I can’t do this anymore," I whispered. A tear slipped out of my eyes, I felt my feet sting with pain and more tears streamed down my cheek, Luca wasted no time in carrying me into his arms and he led me out of the place, even faster than I had thought.

My heart racing against my chest and his raced even faster, he glanced at me for a second.

Luca didn’t stop even when I didn’t hear them anymore, I knew they were far and we came far along yet he didn’t stop, he kept on running until I saw a car, that stood beside the tree, it felt cold, and the car I had seen before.

"You didn’t- I never asked them not to come, I was going tomorrow morning and I am glad I didn’t." He said and I smiled, I felt a wave of relief wash over me as he took us toward the car.

—-

My head rested against his chest, my feet still aching from the pain when I saw flames up in the sky through the window.

"They burnt the house, Luca," I whispered and he stared through the window too,

I am glad I didn’t sleep, I am glad I saw it before it’s too late and I am even more glad that, we were able to find our way out of this, I had hoped that we would not be hurt again, I had hoped that Natalie would pay for what she had done and we will find out who she is?

The ride back was quiet, Luca whispering sweet nothings into my ear, he wanted me to feel better and I did until darkness consumed me.

—-

The next time I woke up, I found myself on a bed, my eyes flickered open and a smile appeared on my face when I saw the room. I am in, it’s his room, I have missed his scent, I have missed the homely feeling that came with it, I have missed being here, it looked the same way that it did when I left.

I glanced across the area, my mind filled with thoughts as I stood up, my feet covered in a bandage and I had a change of clothes.

How did I sleep through all of this?

"Luca," I called as I tried to reach for the door As I headed toward the door, my eyes glanced across the hallway when I met Aria.

She didn’t look any happy.

"You are back." Aria breathed out. She headed toward me, her face filled with a frown and her eyes looked like she wanted me dead. I thought Luca said she had changed or she thought pretending to change would make Luca want to be with her, she wanted a chance she is never going to get.

"I never left Luca, I just wanted some space."

"You hurt him, do you realise that and now you are back to hurt him again, you want to make him feel the same pain he did, you were not here to see that, I was, I saw the pain he felt and how much he hated it."

"I know, and we were both hurt with what happened Ari and I understand you care for him but now we are back together and no one is going to hurt anyone, not even you this time, this time we are all going to protect each other." I smiled

I wondered how she would react if I told her she had to leave, because she had to, it didn’t matter if she wanted to stay or if she thought her staying would be a good idea, I wanted her gone and now I think she still wants to be with Luca, someone like her is going to be a lot of trouble.

"What? Why are you staring at me?" Aria asked, my eyes met hers and a smile appeared on my face.

"Nothing, can you tell me where Luca is and you don’t have to worry this time because I promise you, there is nothing that will happen between us, I am here to stay this time and we will always be with each other."

"Well you don’t deserve him or me, you didn’t just leave Luca, you left me too, you claim to be such a righteous sister and when my parents died, your fucking father too, what did you do, you picked up and you left, you didn’t have a care a for the world for anyone, you always make it look like you are good and now you are back, you want both Luca and I to pretend like we are okay with it." She said and a bitter chuckle escaped my lips.

She can’t be serious about any of this but the more I looked at her, I realized that she was serious about it, her tone, her face even her eyes screamed seriousness.

"I don’t owe you anything, the man that died is not my father, my father died a long time ago when he left my mom for you and your mom, here he choose to hurt her over and over again just to please you and your mother, yes he did but it didn’t matter and please you would have done the same thing, It’s not bad for me to be selfish about it, if its princess Aria it would be perfect but if I do it, it’s bad." I smiled, I guess I got a lot of confidence and I am going to use every bit of it.

I enjoyed it and I blamed her for how I behaved toward her.

"Now if you are done, Luca and I would like to speak to you, maybe during dinner." I smiled. "Don’t be late," I added and she glared at me with anger written all over her eyes.

——

I found Luca in his office, I had thought I would see Ares but I didn’t, maybe he is avoiding me, I would not be surprised if he is avoiding me.

A breath falls out of my lips and I settle beside him, Luca seemed to be deep in his thoughts and I placed my hand on his.

"What’s wrong?."

"Just thinking about how this night could have gone differently. What if we didn’t leave early, I realized how terrible it’s going to be." He stated and I smiled

"It didn’t Luca, they didn’t get what they wanted and no matter how much I don’t want to think about it, that’s the truth, now they are filled with pain and anger because they never got to me and they didn’t hurt you and they are even more upset that we left," I explained. It didn’t matter anymore.

Right now we should be focused on what we want to do next, we should be focused on what he is going to do, and how we would bring an end to Natalie and Sebastine.

I glanced at Luca.

"Don’t think," I whispered against my breath, my eyes met his for a second before he turned to look at me even more properly and he gently placed his lips against mine.

"Ready to talk to her."

"Do I have to be there, it seemed like your family business and I can’t deal with her." He said and I chuckled bitterly, thinking hard about what she had said to me and how she mentioned it. "You are coming with me, I have a feeling I am going to enjoy this meeting even more than you will." I breathed out.

——

Dinner got ready in no time, the whole room filled with the scent that filled my nose, and Aria settled on the chair beside Luca. I didn’t care because he sat next to me and whatever she was trying to do, I didn’t care.

"I will cut the chase; it’s about to get really bad and I don’t think you should be here when it happens, Luca and I are back to together and we are always going to be together, I am not comfortable with you being here and believe me I don’t want to have a home where you reside in, where you are close to, I want you to stay away."

"You are kicking me out, that’s refreshing, so you want me to leave after I stayed here and I made sure that Luca is fine after you left him," Aria asked.

I glanced at her and I smiled.

"It’s happening, you will have enough money to get a place, you need to get out of our space and the inheritance is all yours, you have dad’s money and the house and the cars, everything is yours Aria; you can use it to do anything that you wish," I explained and she glared at me

"You are going to let her do this."

"Aria not a word." I breathed out. "This is between you and me and no one else and you are leaving. Ares would take you tonight, don’t worry your things will be packed and you will leave."

"You can’t do this Olivia, you left, you should never have come back."

"I did and I am here to stay." I breathed out,

"You will regret it." She mumbled against her breath
