CHAPTER 70: HIS UNCLE

"He is having a meeting," Ares muttered against his breath the moment I walked into the room, I glanced around to place. I didn’t even realise his men were here until I saw everyone bowing their heads down.

"It can’t wait, Luca," I whispered, he turned to look at all of them, one more thing to make Ares hate my guts but this can’t wait, I need to find out who this man is exactly and I need it now and I am sure Luca would rather listen to this.

The moment they left, I headed toward Luca and I placed the picture on his table, he turned to look at me with confusion written all over his eyes.

"Luca this is the man," I said in a firm voice, he turned to look at me and at the picture.

"What are you talking about? I need you to be calm while you speak Olivia, you seem worried and scared." Luca whispered, he headed toward me, and he guided me to the couch while he handed me a glass of water.

I wasted no time in gulping it down.

"You know who that is?" Luca asked and I nodded. "How?" He whispered, his tone covered in concern.

"The man, the one that stared at me at the fair, the creepy man that Natalie was speaking to that day when I got into the accident, it’s him, Luca, I can recall his face even in my sleep, the way he stared at me that night, I can never forget that smirk," I explained.

Luca leaned in closer to me, like he was not listening to what I was saying.

"Luca we need- you need to breathe, I need you to calm down," Luca said cutting me off, Did he not hear what I had just said, I can’t calm down.

He knows this man and he needs to tell me.

Luca didn’t want to budge, so I closed my eyes and he counted for me, the images of every time I saw the man came flashing through my mind, and the thought of, what if he is someone of great importance to Luca, how would he feel? How can he handle another betrayal?

I opened my eyes and I met Luca’s

"I am calm," I whispered. "I promise, I feel better, I just, when I saw it, I didn’t know if I felt scared or surprised or even worried, I didn’t even know if I was excited about the fact that I found his picture now I can show you what he looks like or the fact that, I am scared and shattered that I found his picture in your home," I explained.

"Both." He whispered and I nodded, I guess I felt both, I just needed some time to calm down, to rethink things, and to place my thoughts on over things. I just needed to take a moment before I get my wood all burning for questions, I didn’t want to turn, especially not now.

"Who is he, Luca? He has to be someone you know, a part of your family." I whispered and he turned to look at me, his eyes filled with unfamiliar emotions.

He is angry, he is hurt.

"Are you sure it’s him?" Luca asked and I nodded, I was about to speak when realization dawned on me, I had his picture all the time, I took a video when he was with Olivia.

"I need my phone, Luca, I can prove it’s him."

"You don’t need to I want to and it would not hurt to be sure," I whispered cutting him off, I guess this is because of Ares, I have a feeling he will call me a liar or try to convince Luca I needed some type of help.

It didn’t matter because I know I am right.

Luca got my phone in no time and I played the clip for him, it’s only half of his face but it showed, it’s more than enough.

"It’s him," Luca whispered and I nodded.

"I didn’t take a full one because he stared in my direction and I had to leave, I don’t think he saw me, this gives us an advantage right, he has no idea that I know who he is?"

"It doesn’t, he showed you his face twice, he knows you will tell me one day and maybe I will have someone draw his face for better visuals, either way, it didn’t matter because of the fact that he knows," Luca explained.

"Who is he, Luca? Why is he after you? Do you think he was working with Victor, maybe one of those people Victor left behind?" I whispered when I placed my hand on his.

He froze for a second before his hand inches closer to me, he had been deep in his thought, I wondered how this man is and why he came after all of us, why he wanted to ruin me; what relationship did he have with Natalie, why did he work with her and what did Sebastine have in any of this because he is a sick twisted man and I have a feeling he didn’t tell his mom we are not together, maybe gave the world an escape after my outburst and Luca walking into his party.

"Luca you don’t have to tell me now if you don’t want to." I breathed out, and he shook his head, his mind filled with the same thoughts I had, he didn’t have to say it I felt it.

"He is someone I never thought I would ever see again. I always thought that he left me, he left the family a while ago yet he didn’t, I thought my reign, my terror would make him have a fear, I always thought that he would never even think about coming to hurt me again, or rather he waited until I found a mate to ruin both of us."

"You need to tell me what’s happening Luca?"

"I didn’t think he would be back, I never thought he would be back, the last time I saw or even heard of him, I had thought that would be the last time." He breathed out, and he stared at the picture again, like he was unable to speak.

His mind even though I can’t read I know it’s filled with many thoughts and I realized that, whoever this man is, he is someone of great importance to Luca, or was and now he is back.

"My father’s brother," Luca spoke and my breath hitches.

Maybe I am wrong, I had to be wrong, this can’t be the same man right, his father brother, his uncle, why would he do this, why would he try and hurt me or send people to become friends with me, what did he have against Luca?

Luca didn’t talk about him, he never did and I never heard much about this uncle of his.

"Luca, what happened between you?"

"It started with my father, it’s a long story, it started a long time ago, after a long time ago. God we all thought that he died, we never thought that he would be back, we never thought that he would even come close to me again and he came to you; you are sure you saw this man."

"You watched the video Luca, it’s him and I wish it was not him too, I wish it was not the care but it is and he fuck." I breathed out.

His creepy eyes, it felt like he was still staring at me, it felt like he could still see how scared I was, and how much he wanted me to feel his presence.

The more I thought about it, I felt scared, this is someone for. His family, someone he has never spoken about and if he is anything like Luca’s father, then he is not good, Luca’s father didn’t care for him, he was horrible to him and this man, where was he when Luca was suffering? Where was he when Luca was forced to be a leader at a young age

Most importantly what happened between the pair, what did Luca’s father do to him, and what did he do to Luca, what happened that caused both of them to not talk to each other, and I wondered what could have happened for him to come back again.

I watched as Luca kept staring at me like he was deep in something he could not come out from, and I placed my hand on his, I made it a bit other as a form of reassurance, I wanted him to know that I am here for him and no matter what happened, I would always be there for him, I will be here even if it gets more bad.

Anything that has to do with family always gets horrible at the end and I hate it.
