CHAPTER 78: A FASTER DECISION.

Luca’s POV

"What did you find out?" I asked Ares.

"He has someone else do his dirty work because he has been at home all day, he knew that you would find a way to pin this blame on him and that girl, she is somewhat a part of this because she is related to Olivia, my guess would be someone did the job; and I have a feeling he killed that someone, your uncle will do anything to make sure that the blame is not his." He explained and I nodded.

He didn’t have to explain that, I know my uncle better than anyone and I am sure he would want to look good so that when he wants to take over, they will all stand by him, he would not kill me yet because he wants me to watch him take over, he wants to rub it in my face.

"Well she is dead Ares and neither you nor I can do anything about that, he sent the letter; he sent her fucking body and kept the head for himself, I am sure he is smart enough to burn it so I will never find out about it," I explained.

"We are trying- you need to try harder because today is someone I don’t like, tomorrow it could be Olivia or someone else that I care about, it could be my blood," I yelled cutting him off.

I didn’t mean to yell, I could not help it, all I wanted to do was not think about any of this, and I wanted us to work harder; he will strike slowly.

"Your blood, is she?" Ares asked and I didn’t speak.

I was merely repeating the words that she said to me because it struck me and to be honest, I wanted to be a better father than mine ever was, that’s if I am ever going to be a father.

"Work harder and keep an eye on him, I would keep an eye on his men, I have my ways, and I know what I have to do, gather three guard that will be coming with me tonight and you stay here, you stand by her door, do not worry she would not be awake until I am back, just stay and don’t leave, make sure that no one comes in and out of that floor," I said and he nodded.

They need to make sure she is fine, because if she is not, that’s when I will burn the world, I hate that I have to leave her but this can’t wait, it’s some thing that I wanted to do and I have a feeling it’s going to go better than I had expected, it has to, I needed it to.

We left with three of my guards according to one of them, who was keeping an eye on my uncle, some of his men left the house and this is the location that we are in and I am leaving for now.

All I need is three of his men, he can kill someone and pretend he didn’t, I think I can do the same and if he suspects, he can’t do anything, like he said, we need evidence to make sure we are going in the right direction.

It was an underground illegal boxing match, authorized by me, I always made sure it was authorized by me, I just didn’t pay much attention to it because it was not worth it.

I didn’t walk into the place and my car was parked miles away from the place. We have over face covered and l had to do is wait, one of my men would walk in, cause a fight between two people and I would want to leave because if I know my uncle, he would not want them near any messy situation because of how delicate the situation is at the moment and I guess that’s what is happening.

I waited and waited until I heard someone scream and noises, it was not from cheering, it was from something else and I smiled, I watched as one of my guards walked out, his face still covered when we waited for five minutes and two of his guards walked out.

Patrick claims to be the best yet he did all that my father did; he followed the rules of the man he hated, the five minutes rule when you are in a place you are not meant to be in, you leave and after five minutes the other person leaves too because no one cares about one person but people will care if they are two and it may get a bit suspicious.

I guess I am right about that. For someone who hates him so much; Patrick needs to bring up his rules and terms but like my grandma would always say, he didn’t have the strength to create powerful rules, he liked it when others worked and he will take credit for everything they have ever done.

I glanced at them and we followed them from behind, we all disappeared into the other road where there are no people and this is the perfect time.

No one here can talk about seeing me, that’s what Patrick didn’t understand, they respect me and they owe me their lives unlike him, they can throw him under the bus if it means that I would be fine

I watched as the two men split, and they realised they were being followed. The three guards followed one and I was with one, I can handle just one person

"Hey man I don’t think you know what you are doing, stop following me." He said and I didn’t care, he didn’t even know who I was he didn’t then realise that I had taken off my mask and it’s me.

Where did Patrick find these people, I headed toward him even faster and I placed my hand on his shoulder

"I told-" he was about to say when he kept quiet, the moment he saw my face, I wasted no time in pushing the needle into his skin, he didn’t fight, he could not, not even if he wanted to, it worked faster than lightning.

He fell to the ground and I covered my face before I picked him up, my mind filled with anger as I took him to the other side.

"Is she awake?" I asked Ares the moment I walked into the house, he was where I wanted him to be, and he shook his head, I quickly walked into the room, without wasting any time, and I found her where I left her.

Asleep, she needed this more than anyone else, I placed a kiss on his lips and one on her forehead, my mind filled with thoughts when I quickly wrote a little note for her.

I had hoped she would not be paranoid when she wakes up and I am not there.

"Stay here and don’t leave, I need to know you are with her, I am taking care of a few things, this time in my way," I said to Ares, he didn’t question me, I know he wanted to, I could see it in his eye, he needed to ask me what I was doing and why I was doing it, yet he can’t, he can’t question my authority.

I quickly headed into the basement, the two men fast asleep, my breath hitches and I felt my cheek spreading to unleash a smile because this is about to go the way I want it to go.

"Wake them," I announced and my men did as I wanted, pouring hot water that had been boiling from the moment we walked into the house, I watched as a scream escaped their lips.

My mind filled with anger when a curse escaped their lips and they turned to look at me.

"No need to stare, you know who I am and you know what I can do, now let’s cut to the chase, I don’t like to have too many conversations I would prefer if we do this faster, you can either tell me what I need to know or rather, don’t tell me anything, pretend like I don’t need to know a single thing and what’s going to happen next is going to be the shock of your life," I stated.

I settled beside each of them, I didn’t want to yell to fight or argue and I certainly don’t even want to hear a single word from them except if I ask them to speak.

"Now have you made your decision gentlemen because before my uncle thinks about looking for both of you, you will be dead," I explained as I placed my hand on each of their shoulders, I needed them to know that I am not playing and I am going to make sure that they are punished for even working with him.
