CHAPTER 83: WE HAVE HIM

"What do I do when we get there?" I asked.

"Nothing, just sit back and smile, I need this to work, this may be the only way to figure out the truth," Luca explained.

He finally took my advice and he is going to talk to someone from his family, he will be speaking to Jamie, Jamie didn’t have much, and he has a lot to lose, more than any other person.

Luca drove us out of the house and in a couple of minutes we got to our location, it’s a safe place and it’s somewhere close to the house where the meeting is being set.

I have a feeling that Jamie didn’t tell Patrick about this, maybe he got a little curious or he is looking for an advantage against Patrick, I met his uncle once and I know that his uncle is someone who loves control.

"Why are we here Luca? Did you come to beg me to tell you what Patrick is planning or worse did you come to threaten me with the life of someone I care about, it’s not a good look on you, the king." Jamie smirked. "You came with her, you never seem to let her be alone, do you?" He asked and I rolled my eyes at him.

"A conversation is all I ask, you are smart Jamie, you can play this out both ways, one you listen to me, or two you run to Patrick and you tell him about it."

"What makes you think he has no idea about this meeting?

"Because you are not wearing any wires, I am sure you didn’t come with your phone because you don’t want to be tracked and we have not been followed, you can act as smart as you want but I know what you are doing and we are not kids Jamie, you know I have a reason for bringing you here," Luca explained and he stared at him.

"Be fast about it, but if you think you will get me to betray Patrick, you have another thing coming, yes I may not have told him because I didn’t want to worry him, I can handle these things and I don’t need to call him for every little thing." He said and I rolled my eyes again.

Did he think we were going to believe his lies? It’s so obvious that he came for his own selfish needs, this is what happens when two families are together, who hate each other, and all of them, didn’t care for each other, they are filled with greed for power and more money, greed that can ruin all of them.

"Work with me," Luca said and a bitter chuckle escaped Patrick’s lips.

"Are you that desperate that you think I would work with you, you have a lot to do more than that, come on you are the Alpha, have some fucking pride, don’t beg because it’s not a good look on you." He mocked.

"Let me put it this way because I am done trying to be polite." Luca threatened. "I am here to threaten you or to blackmail you. You are here on your own accord because you want to be here, you were never forced but this is what is going to happen."

"I have to work for you or you will kill me." Jamie gritted his teeth. "Tell me, Olivia, does it turn you on when he is being threatening, when he cares less about anyone and he’s always shouting at you?"

"Speak to her again, I dare you, you made a mistake, no one knows you are here and I can use it to my advantage and if there is anything I learnt from the family, it’s always pretend like you never did what you did, as long as you stick to your truth, it becomes the reality," Luca spoke.

I didn’t dare say anything, he had told me not to, all I did was look between them, this is about their family and Luca knows better.

"I want to offer uou a deal, you and I both know that, Patrick goes back on his words and he can not be trusted, I on the other hand I never go back on my words and you know that because no matter how much I hate all of you, I still protected you because I made a promise to our grandmother, and I could have ignored it after she died, she would have never known, no one could have forced me to do otherwise but I didn’t, and your Patrick on the other way, you and I know that he is selfish and if he has to murder all of you to win, he will, that’s one of the reason you are here because Tatar that dinner; he is not being so great to all of you and uou guys have no choice but to listen to him because you are keen on the fact that he wins and you get back to your normal life."

"What are you saying, Luca?"

"How much of that normal life would you have left even if he wins, the war that will take place because I know no matter what he does, he may not win and if he does win by some miracle and you know that, he will kill, he will destroy, he will cause war and you will suffer by it and I know I will win, and if I do win, you loss everything too, and mine is more certain, you will have nothing but each other," Luca said.

I could Jamie could see his life flashing through his eyes, he knew that Luca was serious about this.

"I may not know what he is planning but I have a better shot at this than him and you know that, you can work for me, you get everything you need and I still protect you and I know you are scared, I have nothing to lose if I protect you, I have done wit before and I will stand by my word and if I don’t win which will never happen, you will still die because of Patrick. So make the choice."

"How are you so sure that you will win and you don’t know Patrick, you knew him before but not now, people change Luca, it’s not always about you, and how good you are, Patrick is good and he cares for all of us, he knows the strength comes from family and that’s why your father always won against him."

"It seems a bit like you are trying to convince yourself and not me, because I didn’t ask for validation when it comes to my bubble, I know the type of man he is, I know what he is capable of and I know that, you know he didn’t change, someone that didn’t care for his wife, who he lied too and manipulated into getting married to him, I mean be bedded her just so that he can ruin her, he didn’t even care about his own so called brother, he would have killed my father if he has a chance and did you know that before he was banished he had plans to take over and take the pack to whole new town and start afresh, build his own city, he was going to buy a new place, just for him, people that didn’t have much and install fear in them because he knows they can’t leave," Luca said. "I bet he didn’t tell you that, I am sure that he would not let go of his plan, did you think he forgot that when he was banished neither did you helped him, you threw him away, and you never wanted him close to you, come on, if it were you, would you forgive, I know you won’t, and you don’t need to pretend that he has changed, my offer stands but just for then minutes and if you don’t make up your mind so be it. Patrick is a broke and wounded wolf and they are scarier than any type." Luca said.

I don’t think his uncle would forgive any of them for what they had done, and Jamie knows that too.

"Fuck." Jamie gritted through his teeth, he didn’t have to even say it, his eyes did the talking.

"Does he know what I did when he was getting banished?" Jamie asked.

"You mean take over his home and sell it or even worse, you sold out stories about how horrible he is so it will stand out and force me to give you more than you deserve," Luca asked.

This explains why he picked Jamie, why he thought asking Jamie to do this was better than any of them, and why he has offended Patrick even more than anyone

"Fine I will work with you but when it’s all over, I have to be rewarded and my son would be placed in the pack, even though he is young, I need to know a spot is there for him."

"You have my word." Luca lied and he smiled.

Now we have him on a leash. We need to discuss war with the men.
