CHAPTER 91: A PLAN WITH JAMIE

We had gotten all the plans done Jamie, he really thinks we are about to support and listen to what he has to say even making this better, I called him this morning to inform him that, we are going ahead with it and I will send him a special gift for giving me this good information.

The plan is simple, we walk into the party like Jamie wants us to do, it’s a party held by wolves in the city, I usually give them permission to hold this once a year, just so that they can feel comfortable and take a break from whatever they are doing.

We would be there, I needed to be there as Alpha, and Patrick would be there because he is a guest, it’s considered rude if other wolves don’t attend but I have to, he has to come to present his family, it’s the only way.

"Are you sure about this?." Ares asked when I explained the plan to him again.

"What do you have in mind?" I asked, yes I didn’t trust huh anymore but his input would be good on this, I needed it to be perfect and no one has to come between me and this.

"Maybe we don’t fall into the trap so soon, Patrick would know that we are planning something else, and we can make a detour from time to time, so he would think we are close to figuring it out and we don’t figure it out, if we act dumb and let it play, he would get suspicious and so will Jamie, we don’t need that Alpha, we want this to go perfect because this may be our only chance." He said and I nodded.

He is right about that.

"Inform the men about it, for now, let’s get going," I said and he nodded.

Olivia will be coming with me, she will not be left in the house on this very important night, she will be in the can’t no one knows that for now, but I made the van comfortable with a bed in it, she won’t have to be on her feet for long, I just needed her close to me.

I wish I didn’t have to do this yet I didn’t have much of a choice.

"Ready."

"You want to keep me locked in your van, I would get suffocated and what happens when someone else gets into the van, and the last time- it won’t happen again," I whispered cutting her off.

I headed toward her and I settled on the bed, the men would leave before us, I didn’t want anyone to see her inside the van, I needed her to be safe for my sake.

"It’s the only way, this house is not safe Olivia."

"Take me to one of the safe houses, I know you Luca and I know that you have a home that no one knows about, not even Ares and your uncle would not keeping an eye on your movements right now; he should be at the party, waiting for your arrival." She exclaimed

"I- please Luca, I can’t stay inside the van, it’s not going to be good for me, there are no windows and I wouldn’t be scared and paranoid all of the time, just take me somewhere else." She begged cutting me off.

I hate this arrangement as much as she does and I guess she is right, someone can drive the van, and what will happen then, and she would be gone, I could never forgive myself if something were to happen or her.

She is right, I have a couple of homes that even Ares didn’t know about, I never took her to any of them because of the war, she can’t be alone at a safe house and not only that, if I am there with her, so will the rest of the pack.

"Hey look at me." She whispered. "I can’t leave this bed, it’s only me two days, and I don’t even what to leave even after the week, I am worried something will happen to the baby, Luca you need to take me some where safe, I know you want me close to you and I am always going to be that but this party, whatever trap he has for you whatever you are planning, me being inside of a van is not a good idea, because the trap he she can go wrong, fuck it would go wrong and what will happen then?." She asked and I stared at him.

She is right, I didn’t think too well about this. I am the Alpha, I am meant to be strong and powerful and I am meant to have an idea of what I am doing.

"Fine." I breathed out, I helped her off the bed and I carried her into my arms when we headed into the car, I would be using my other car to take her, I had asked the van to leave the moment we headed out.

There is no one in the house, all the guards are gone, and even the staff are gone, I didn’t need them here, but from outside it looked like there could be people inside.

If Patrick sends his men I would know, I have the system on, and if it detects even a single movement, the house would be on lockdown.

"Where are you taking me?" Olivia asked and I smiled.

"Somewhere special, I used to go there when I was so much younger, then I got it when I got older because of how much I enjoyed being there

"It’s one of your mansions right?" She asked and I shook my head, it was actually an apartment, a one-bedroom apartment and I have a feeling she will like it.

"I don’t feel good about leaving you there without guards."

"The guards just bring attention, and we don’t need that Luca." She said and I nodded. "How did you get this place?"

"I always wanted a place for a break, and I found this place, I always came here when I needed some peace and quiet," I explained and she nodded

It’s a safe place, and she will love it.

We got to the place in no time; I made sure we didn’t go through the front door, I went through the back door, I have the key.

"Do you like it?." I whispered when I made sure she settled on the couch, I know she hated not being able to stand for a while, and do as she wishes but it’s for the baby.

"It’s cozy." She smiled, "I think I would prefer being here than with the guards, it’s small and cozy just the way I always like it." She said and I settled beside her

I am worried to leave her here alone even though I know it’s safe, I prefer if she was with the guards.

"You know no one is going to hurt me Luca, they are never going to find me, if they never figured out you have this place and I am sure they will never know now." Olivia said and I smiled.

I placed my hand on hers, her eyes were on mine as she gave me the softest smile ever, she just wanted to reassure me.

"What’s wrong Luca?. You are starting to scare yourself, I am fine." She smiled again.

"I know, I don’t like the idea of leaving you especially when I know you are with the most precious thing I could ever desire." I said a she leaned in to place a kiss on my forehead.

Her eyes were on mine, she didn’t stop smiling, I know she is just doing it to pretend she is not as worried as I am.

"Think of how excited I would be when you come home to me and we will be together for the rest of the day knowing you took care of everything for us." Olivia smiled. "So what we are apart for a while, it’s a couple of hours, you are coming home to me, yes I am scared, yes I am worried because I would not be able to defend myself so much even if I wanted to."

"I would leave you with a gun, you call me if you feel something is wrong, I don’t care if you think it’s your mind playing tricks on you, I want you to let me know." I said and she nodded. "Promise me Liv." I whispered and she nodded

"I promise and I know I don’t have to call you because everything will be fine." She assured me

I lead up and I lead her to the bedroom, I wanted to set up everything for her, the snacks, the gun, every thing she needed so she would feel safe.

It took a twenty minute to get everything ready and by the time I was done, I knew I have to leave even if I didn’t want to, I need to make sure she is safe.

"I love you." I whispered before heading out of the room, and I could hear her sweet voice as she whispered the words to me back.
