The SSS Legendary Dragon Chose Me On Rebirth
Chapter 247: Take off
CHAPTER 247: TAKE OFF
Harkon flashed a smile. Most times, he felt as if his need to find Vacuse was the greatest among all of them, but he knew it was a lie.
Everyone that came into the Great Dungeon was just as driven, and that had even caused some fruitful happenings. Like the fact that he and Kagerou had advanced. The other thing stages were also trying their best to build more power.
But now that Captain Amros had decided on a path, he was feeling an angry roar in him, and his blood shimmered as if fire had been lit in it.
"Captain Amros, I believe we should make it quick. We should commit everything into a single push, just like Lord Vacuse usually does things."
Captain Amros smiled wearily at that. "The Dragon heir always has interesting things up his sleeves. How can I compete with that?"
Harkon shook his head. "Don’t sell yourself short, Captain. The Dragon heir is the Dragon heir, and you are you. What you’ve done since we entered this Great Dungeon was all by your hands."
Captain Amros unexpectedly chuckled. "I think you are the most beneficial of this trip, Harkon. You’ve become more grounded, as if your conviction is now on solid stones."
But before any of them could say anything, the window was suddenly blown open by a gust of wind, and light shimmered in the air around the room.
But the two men didn’t seem surprised. They all knew Kagerou had a flair for the dramatic, especially when he had bits of news to share.
Kagerou appeared right there in the middle of the room, as they expected, but unlike before, he wasn’t jumping around with smiles on his face, telling them ridiculous gossip he had just heard.
Instead, his eyes were wide and his fists clenched, looking at them as if he’d seen something forbidden.
Captain Amros was beside him in a flash, his eyes glowing as he began to search for threats. The same was for Harkon. "Kagerou? What’s wrong? What happened?!"
Ever so slowly, Kagerou moved, raised his hand, and unclenched his fist.
There was no need to speak.
They saw the ring in his palm, and they froze, their muscles stiffening.
Right there was a ring with a Dragon with folded wings at the top. The ring they were so familiar with, it was like knowing their own names.
It was as if a bolt of lightning had struck their minds, as all they could do was stare at the ring.
Nobody said anything for a long time until Kagerou moved again. He raised his other hand and showed the paper in it, letting them read the word.
He then said only one thing. "Red Marchant!"
Captain Amros’s eyes turned flat, and silver metal began to form armor around him. "We are going to war. Every hand is to commit! This is an order!
The Dragon calls!"
Harkon shuddered and whispered. "The Dragon is here."

Vacuse was still sitting in his chair when he felt a terrible aura outside his tent, and he knew his life was about to get difficult. His life was now on a countdown.
The tent parted, and the Magus he didn’t want to see entered. Magus Valthorne, the necromancer, stood at the entrance of the tent, and his eyes landed on Vacuse.
The air in the tent boiled and turned sluggish. Vacuse and the others found it difficult to breathe as they tried to adjust to the new environment brought on by the mere presence of a fifth circle Magus.
Usually, those at that level of power, Magus or Soulbearers, shield the space around them to stop such from happening. But Magus Valthorne did not care. He was there to throw his weight around, after all.
"You... are the Red Marchant?"
Even Vacuse became wary against such power. No matter what trick he tried to play, he couldn’t fight someone like Magus Valthorne. It was simply impossible.
Even then, he pulled his face into his cheerful one. "The one and only."
Magus Valthorne looked at him dully. "Are you the one that killed the dream beast?"
"I am not the one that killed it. But I’m interested in it. Tell me more about it... I can pay you."
Magus Valthorne took more steps into the tent, ignoring everyone as he only stared at Vacuse. "Take off your glamour."
Vacuse stiffened. It seemed Magus Valthorne wasn’t amused at all with anything he was saying. The man was simply there to confirm his identity.
"My father has not granted...!!"
Vacuse suddenly found it hard to breathe as a cold palm wrapped around his throat. His eyes bulged, and it took everything in him to keep himself from using his power. Instead, he scratched at the hand holding his throat in a useless manner.
The Magus looked down in disgust and threw him to the ground, his meaty bulk making a thud sound.
Vacuse took in ragged air, breathing and gasping while Lady Slave tried to help him up.
"Remove the glamour, even though I’m sure you’re too useless to be him anyway. But you’ve drawn my attention, and now I want to know who you are and what your aim here is."
Vacuse was still breathing hard, gasping for breath. All the while, his brain was thinking fast.
’...this guy really isn’t playing around. And seriously, just how long are they going to take? Magus Valthorne being here meant the letter was already opened... or... they’re not the ones at all?...’
Vacuse’s back began to sweat as that last thought entered his mind, and he couldn’t help but shiver. He had used all his cards to play a gamble.
But now it seemed he would lose.
What a bitter feeling.
But at the same time, he was already thinking of a second plan. ’...if I can make it happen so they don’t kill me immediately, and Lady Slave too, then I might still have the chance to live...’
"I’m going to say it one more time. Take off your glamour, or you’ll start playing with your limbs."
