Architecture students will have their final exam in the next ten days. Looking at their faces, the exam''s pressures clearly can be felt. You can see the exam''s phenomenon everywhere. Panda eyes, unkempt hair, walking while mumbling in the hall. The atmosphere is heavy, and it could even be heard from their weird jokes.

    "Let''s light the fireworks. When everyone celebrates the new year, we celebrate finals!"

    "I feel like having a girlfriend when final exams come. It had too many questions which I couldn''t answer."

    "Name the nation people hate most! It was Exami-nation…"

    You could hear the forced laugh slip their throat, trying to ease their tensed nerves during this period since the joke was not really funny at all. They only need something to release their amassed stress once the final exam preparation time comes knocking at their door.

    Bai Yutang was feeling glad he managed to pass his last presentation in this semester, even with all the pain he felt inside. He was afraid he''ll make a lot of mistakes due to his chaotic mind. Luckily he mastered his project before all this nightmare happened.

    Last night he blocked Jian Kang Lu''s phone number and WeChat, so he could finally check his other messages from his friends, his sister, and his mother. He erased Jian Kang Lu''s number from his phone today, wishing it would erase his pain too. Hope it will release him from this suffering once he presses that button.

    But it didn''t work.

    The things he could not understand was why this man showed up in front of his lecture''s building again. Is this man not working? This is Thursday. He should be in the hospital at this time. Somehow, it makes Bai Yutang think that maybe Jian Kang Lu lied to him for this whole time. Maybe he was not that busy, and just said that he was in the hospital to visit his other lover.

    Bai Yutang knew he was not reasonable. But he can''t help to think that way, for his pain still clenches his heart, won''t let him go. The other part of his brain knew that maybe this man really didn''t want to lose him, thus he chose to wait for him here. Ignoring the cold freezing weather, sit under the tree, and wait for him. But his heart rejected that idea. If Jian Kang Lu doesn''t want to lose him, he should not do that kind of thing to him.

    The other students can''t help to look at Jian Kang Lu. It was rare for them seeing this kind of handsome face here. And it is even weirder to see this tall handsome man silently sitting under the tree in this kind of weather, staring at the entrance. Most people with intact sanity will wait inside, looking for a heat source to unfreeze their cold hands.

    A lot of master degree students have classes too in this building. Maybe this tall handsome man is one of them. But why is a master degree student sitting there on the bench like a statue? Is this another weird experiment from the psychology students? But why do they conduct the experiment in the architecture building instead of their own?

    Once Bai Yutang noticed Jian Kang Lu sitting over there, he turned his body and planned to leave the building through another door. Few moments later he could hear a running step behind, following him. Without looking back, he knew who it was. Or maybe it was just his imagination. Maybe deep inside his heart, he still hoped this man would follow him even though he avoided him.

    That step slows its pace and follows him closely from behind. Once they walked out from the back door of this building, Bai Yutang felt his arms once again held by this man. He tried so hard to yank that hand he despised. This time, Jian Kang Lu let him go.

    "TangTang, have you eaten? Can we have dinner together tonight?"

    Bai Yutang just ignored this man, and walked steadily to the dorm''s building. Bai Yutang really hates this man, for all the people around look at the both of them with curiosity. He knew this man was just too eye catching. And he hates it more, for it reminds him that he clearly is not the one who could equally stand by this man.

    For he was a man with no talent, and just an ordinary face.

    "TangTang, how''s your day? Your exam is coming soon?"

    To hear those words, suddenly enraged Bai Yutang. ''Why do you care? You could just pay your attention to that man!'' He almost shouted the words that filled his mind since that night. But he didn''t manage to do that, since it would just hurt his pride more.

    "You know I have exams coming soon, and you''re still bothering me like this."

    Bai Yutang could hear the steps behind him halted, and then run towards him.

    "I''m so happy to hear your voice."

    They almost reach the dorm building. In the middle of his anger, this 10 minutes walking from the lecture''s building spent in the blink of an eye. Bai Yutang once again felt his arms brushed softly from the man behind him.

    He really can''t take this anymore, so he turns around.

    "I told you i don''t want to hear anything from you, nor to be disturbed like this. Just go away, leave me alone!"

    Without waiting for a response from this man, Bai Yutang abruptly turned his body again and almost ran to the dorm building. His safe haven.

    That man was not following him anymore. Bai Yutang thought maybe Jian Kang Lu would finally give up.

    But the next day, on Friday afternoon, once again this man popped up outside his lecture''s building. He truly doesn''t understand why this man always knows which building he attends his lectures.

    The same scene from yesterday repeated once more.

    "TangTang, i missed you so much…"

    Bai Yutang could hear softly spoken words filled with longing, and it almost tickled his heart once again. He gritted his teeth, and hated himself to easily sway like this. He refuses to be a fool once more.

    Bai Yutang was a man who believed a relationship is sacred, it has to be a mutual trust between two people. Trust. Once it was betrayed, it could never be back to the previous state. For the trust is gone.

    "TangTang.. Can we just have dinner together tonight? Please… I really missed spending my time with you.."

    Bai Yutang felt if he kept hearing this man speaking, he would eventually give up. He needs to cut this man here, now. Forever gone from his world.

    "I told you, we''re over. Stop it. I have exams coming soon, and you are really bothering me. Will you be satisfied if I fail my exams because of you? Are you happy that way?"

    Bai Yutang regretted that he could not say those words with his original intention, trying to sound stern and harsh. It''s good if he could hurt this man more. But his voice trembled when he said those words, unable to hide his anger, and mostly his sorrow.

    Bai Yutang could sense the man behind him didn''t expect him to speak. But that man didn''t stop following him even though he finally could shut this man up. Jian Kang Lu said nothing until they arrived in the dorm''s building.

    "TangTang, i won''t bother you. Good luck on your exam. Please eat your meal regularly, and take care of yourself."

    One part of his soul was relieved to hear those words. Finally this man understand he doesn''t want to see him again. But the other part felt miserable. Is this man easily give up on him?

    Bai Yutang almost laughs when he realizes he thinks that way. Why on earth does he feel sad because Jian Kang Lu gave up on him? Jian Kang Lu already trampled his pride by taking that man to their apartment. Jian Kang Lu already gave up on their relationship once he let that man come inside.

    On Saturday and Sunday, he didn''t see Jian Kang Lu again. No wonder, since Bai Yutang also didn''t step out from the dorm''s room. The four of them decide to study this weekend. Bai Yutang needs to study hard to maintain his scholarship, and the others are having their last final exams. For next semester they will defend their thesis.

    Yu Dong and Liu Xiang discuss their final project. They have already started their project since last month, while Tang Yuxuan is still discussing with his supervisor about his project. Yu Dong chose to design a game company''s building. As expected from a gamer who dedicates his life only for games and his girlfriend.

    But Liu Xiang truly amazing, it seems his internship days really bring a lot of progress for him as an architect. He chose to design a legislative assembly. He even thinks about the details and the meaning of it. From the overall designs, until the minor details such as stairs and walls, all was integrated into his thesis''s title. The Three Principles of the People.

    It was an ambitious project, and it makes Bai Yutang envy Liu Xiang a little bit. He knows maybe he could never be like Liu Xiang. But he will try his best, and just passed the exams right in front of him first. His priority is to maintain his scholarship for his final year.

    With them busy studying, Bai Yutang felt a little bit relieved, at least he could bury his grief and resentment. Channeling his rage into memorising the exam''s material. It surprisingly worked after a few days his brain couldn''t concentrate at all.

    Bai Yutang was really grateful for his friends being here, asking him nothing. They treat him like nothing happened, don''t even mention a word about Jian Kang Lu. He''s so lucky to have them as his friends.

    Even though at noon he could suppress his misery, laughing with his friends, enjoying their lunch and dinner provided by Mu Xiaoya, but at night he still felt lonely. Sometimes he hugged his pillow tight, like the way he hugged Jian Kang Lu. At those times, his eyes will painfully throbbing from the corner, trying hard to hold back his tears.

    At noon on Monday, they have lunch together with Fei Hong and Feng Mian. Somehow, these two didn''t join any of their lunch last week, and Bai Yutang is grateful for that. But today it seems Tang Yuxuan can''t hold himself anymore, asking Fei Hong to have lunch together.

    Bai Yutang could see that Feng Mian was surprised to see his current state. He tried his best not to show his miserable gloomy mood in front of them. And he''s glad they seem not to pry for more.

    "Let''s have new year''s eve dinner together!" Tang Yuxuan excitedly invited all of them to spend the last day of this year in their usual cafe. He said he would book the place if they all agreed.

    Looking at Tang Yuxuan''s face, clearly he wants to spend more time with Fei Hong before they have their winter holiday and spend Chinese New Year with their family in their hometown.

    Bai Yutang didn''t have any reason to reject, thus he agreed. He can''t feel anything for that whole night. It seems his inside is hollow. He just smiling and talking along with the flow.

    Mu Xiaoya looking at him with concerned several times, but Bai Yutang avoid her. He doesn''t want to tell her anything, nor he want to hear her suggestion anymore about Jian Kang Lu. He know Mu Xiaoya will defend Jian Kang Lu, asking him to listen to Jian Kang Lu''s explanation.

    Bai Yutang didn''t want to hear that man''s voice ever again. For he knew he could surrender once more, and let that man fooled him once more. He refuses to be a foolish man. Better to cut it here now, rather than suffering more in the future.

    When they walked back to the dorm, Feng Mian kept talking to him even though he just answered halfheartedly. Bai Yutang feels guilty, but he really doesn''t have energy to accommodate Feng Mian with this conversation.

    "TangTang.."

    Bai Yutang and the others were surprised to hear that voice behind. They all turned back and saw Jian Kang Lu standing behind them. He looked cold, and his usual gentle self was gone. His black coat just adds the dark aura to this man. His handsome face who usually painted with curving lips, smiling gently, now didn''t show any emotion. His complexion was no better than Bai Yutang. Looking at his windblown hair, it seems he spent some time outside exposed to the winter wind.

    It was really awkward. In normal situations, they will greet Jian Kang Lu, smile, laugh, and joke with him. But this winter temperature which was already below freezing, even felt colder for them right now with Jian Kang Lu''s appearance.

    They tactfully just turn their body away and walk towards the dorm building like nothing happened. All have questions in their mind, all have guesses in their heart. But none of them could say anything.
