CHAPTER 34: I WILL KILL YOUR DAUGHTER.

After having breakfast alone the next morning, I sat in my room, watching the beautiful garden from the window. This was the first time I truly noticed how heavenly the garden looked, and not only that, the rustling sounds the leaves made helped as a copying mechanism for all the weak plans I have made so far.

I had told myself several times that since I couldn’t get my necklace, there was no need to stay back here, and after what Alexander did to my father, I felt more urge to get away as soon as possible. There was this nagging feeling in my stomach that told me he wasn’t over yet, and I didn’t want to wait to know what would be next.

But again, where would I go? I was sure my father wouldn’t want to see my face after last night, and Katie had been out of town for quite some time. So where?

Exhaling sharply, I turned away from the window, then picked my phone after hearing it pinged. It was a text from Seith, saying he found out who the buyer of my necklace was and he believed I might still get it.

As much as the necklace was very important to me, it wasn’t my main issue at the moment. But I still hoped to have it again.

Suddenly, I got a frantic call that made my heart drop into my stomach.

My father again.

George angrily stood up from the chair and slammed his fist on the table. "Enough, I can’t sell my estate to you. It’s the only property I have left!"

Alexander’s calm expression didn’t change. "Remember you are buried under debt. You have already borrowed enough money to pay some of the debt, yet you still own about sixty percent." He tilted his head to the side and raised a mockery brow. "And also, you don’t want those loan sharks to swing by later, right? You know I can make that happen."

George gritted his teeth, his eyes burning with rage, but that didn’t bother Alexander a bit. Though he was quite annoyed that the man was being stubborn and reluctant to sell the estate he was living with his family, not that he had a choice to start with. George would do as he said, otherwise...

"Do whatever you want, you CANNOT make me sell my home to you. Who do you think you are? I owe you nothing!" George said in anger.

"You seemed to have forgotten everything, George, or perhaps, you are just feigning ignorance." Alexander stood up and leaned towards him, then added, "you want to know what you owe me? Your life and your family’s. Every single one of you. Now, don’t annoy me further and sign the papers, or else..."

"Or else what?" George responded with the same wit, staring challengingly at Alexander.

"Or else, Your daughter will die."

George blinked and took a step back in surprise. Alexander could care less about his reaction. He didn’t even know why he wanted to buy the estate instead of just forcing him to sign the papers. He guessed he was still being kind after all. But since George wanted to take his kindness for granted, then he could bid farewell to his ’daughter’.

"You won’t touch her..." he said, after his moment of shock.

"I never thought you cared what happened to her," Alexander scoffed. "Either way, I will give you three days to think about it, otherwise, you won’t just lose Anna, but everyone in your family."

Alexander could see the horror that flashed through his eyes and it made a little smile tug at his lips. Finally, George got to feel a tiny fraction of the horror he felt when his mother was concerned and killed by George’s men. But it wasn’t over yet. He would make him feel the whole horror, pain, and anger that coursed through him as he watched his mother being gutted, without being able to do anything. Thinking about that made his little satisfaction turn into a very familiar emotion. Rage.

Fire ignited in his veins and his jaw clenched. If he didn’t get away from George, he would do something he would probably regret later, because this was just starting to get interesting.

Swallowing his anger, he turned around and walked out of George’s office, not minding the fact that George was mumbling curses at him. Right now, he needed to focus on his plan on murdering Anna first... but would he really do that though? He would kill her and gut out her organs just the way her father’s men did to his mother.

’But...’ the rational part in him questioned, and he quickly shook it away.

Of course there was no ’but’. Her father did worse to him and his innocent mother, killing Anna was a way to save her from the hell he was about to unleash on her family. And also death was the easiest punishment to ever give anyone. So, she should be glad.

Reaching home, he went straight to his room to make an arrangement just in case George didn’t change his mind. He needed that estate, because that was one of his main plans; to make George homeless just like he once made him.

He picked up the landline telephone, and just as he was about to make the important call, his door burst open and someone he never expected stormed in.

Alexander dropped the phone and turned to her with a slight frown. She had suddenly become fearless and he didn’t like it a bit. It made him wonder what was going on with her lately, and how did she even know he was an orphan? Someone was definitely feeding her with these things and he would surely get to the root of it.

"What did you say to my father?" Anna demanded, standing a few feet away from him.

He wanted to ignore her at first and get back to his business, but decided to anger her even more.

"Nothing special, just wanted to do business with him," he said, nonchalantly, picking up the landline again.

"And when he refused, you threatened him?!" Now, she looked furious. Alexander could see the anger and hatred blazing in her eyes like flames, but none of it affected him. He was already used to being hated after all.

"I don’t make threats. I am a man of my words. If your father didn’t decide in three days... you die."
