CHAPTER 471: CHAPTER 471 CRITICAL MOMENT

It wasn’t long before Wei Xichun, led by a server, entered the private room.

Lan Hui quickly stood up and introduced, "This is Minister Wei of the Provincial Committee Organization Department, and this is Wu Jie, the Spring Festival Gala host."

Since Wu Jie didn’t get a clear look at Wei Xichun last time in the fitting room, her expression didn’t change much.

She immediately bowed and said, "Hello, Minister Wei."

Wei Xichun stared fixedly at Wu Jie’s flawless, delicate figure, his eyes glued to her like a ravenous wolf on the hunt.

Lan Hui, noticing this, let out a dry cough.

Only then did Wei Xichun snap out of it and respond with a smile.

"Hello, I watched the Spring Festival Gala—you performed exceptionally well."

"Thank you for the compliment, Minister Wei."

Once Wei Xichun sat down, Lan Hui asked the server to bring over two bottles of wine.

Since everything had been arranged on short notice, both bottles were already opened.

She chose the one with an intact label and poured some for Wu Jie.

"Come on, let’s have a toast with Minister Wei without delay."

Wu Jie accepted the wine bottle and smiled as she spoke.

"Minister Wei, let me pour you a drink before we toast."

Seeing this, Wei Xichun quickly grabbed the other bottle, the one with a chipped label, and poured himself a glass.

"No need, I’ll handle it myself. Cheers!"

While drinking, his eyes lingered hungrily on Wu Jie’s enticingly curved hips, his mouth dry and throat parched, desperate to grab a handful.

But seeing Lan Hui repeatedly shaking her head and signaling at him, Wei Xichun restrained the restless lust surging inside him.

This red wine didn’t seem to pack a high alcohol content—after drinking it, Wu Jie didn’t feel anything unusual.

Just as she prepared to pour Wei Xichun another glass, Lan Hui snatched the bottle away first.

While pouring, Lan Hui said, "Xiao Jie, how can you toast without a celebratory remark? Come on, let’s redo it."

Nodding lightly, Wu Jie raised her glass and smiled at Wei Xichun.

"Minister Wei, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I wish you success and an ever-rising career."

Wei Xichun let out a hearty laugh and filled his own glass to the brim.

"Thank you!"

Perhaps she drank too quickly; after two glasses, Wu Jie began to feel dizzy.

As she attempted to return to her seat, Lan Hui chimed in again.

"Xiao Jie, we should toast Minister Wei together."

"Lan Tai, I... I can’t drink anymore. I feel a little dizzy."

"That just won’t do. Tonight’s dinner is for the three of us. No matter what, we all need to share a toast."

As she spoke, Lan Hui poured three glasses to the brim with the two bottles of wine.

Seeing this, Wei Xichun said directly, "Drinking with two lovely ladies tonight is such a joy. Cheers!"

"Cheers!"

Watching the other two take their drinks in one go, Wu Jie had no choice but to steel herself, close her eyes, and down the wine in a single gulp.

For the rest of the evening, Lan Hui and Wei Xichun took turns urging Wu Jie to drink.

Since Wu Jie needed their help, she couldn’t refuse and drank glass after glass.

By the time she finally passed out, slumped over the table, Wei Xichun’s face twisted into a perverse grin.

Just as he prepared to take Wu Jie away, he noticed Lan Hui had also passed out.

Shaking his head with a chuckle, he muttered to himself.

"Since there’s a pretty little thing here tonight, I’ll let you off the hook. But next time we drink, if you dare get so drunk again, I swear I’ll fuck you so hard you won’t be able to leave the bed for three days..."

Before Wei Xichun could finish his sentence, dizziness overtook him, and he slumped over the table, snoring loudly.

The room fell completely silent, and a man dressed as a server stepped in from outside.

It was Cheng Zhuang, arranged by Chen Bin!

The next morning, Wei Xichun woke up in a dingy little motel room.

The surroundings made him scowl in displeasure, but the scent of a woman beside him brought a satisfied smile to his face.

However, just as he prepared to start the day with a quick fuck, he realized the person beside him was Lan Hui!

Scanning the room and confirming that it was just the two of them, his confusion deepened.

In his memory, he should’ve been carrying Wu Jie, drunk out of her mind, to the motel. How had things turned out this way?

He shoved Lan Hui hard a few times and said indignantly, "Wake up! What the hell is going on?"

Startled awake, Lan Hui immediately wrapped herself in the blanket, covering her bare skin.

Instinctively, she asked, "What’s going on? Where’s Wu Jie?"

Wei Xichun snapped with irritation, "I should be the one asking you! What the hell happened?!"

"I... I have no idea either!"

"Don’t tell me you couldn’t handle that little girl and decided to offer yourself as a substitute?"

"How could that be? I’ve never failed with girls like her!"

Wei Xichun tore the blanket off her harshly, his face twisted with rage at the sight of her slightly sagging figure.

"Since I didn’t get to fuck Wu Jie, I’ll take it out on you for interest!"

With that, he pounced on Lan Hui.

She resisted briefly, but soon stopped moving altogether.

As Wei Xichun fucked her, with no enjoyment at all, Lan Hui’s mind raced, trying to recall what had happened last night.

Why couldn’t she remember anything?

Tianhai Hotel.

Chen Bin, munching on his steamed bun, glanced at Wu Jie still asleep nearby. He pulled back the covers.

"Hey, wake up! What time do you think it is?"

But no matter how much he shook her, Wu Jie didn’t respond.

He had no choice but to flip her over and smack her firm, round ass a few times through her pants.

Wu Jie groggily opened her eyes and murmured softly, "Water... I need water..."

"Get it yourself. Why should I serve you?"

Hearing the unfamiliar voice, Wu Jie woke up completely.

She shook her head, her mind still blank.

Relieved to find her clothes still intact, she let out a breath and got off the bed to grab a bottle of mineral water, drinking half of it in one go.

"Chen Tai, why am I here?"

Her memory remained stuck on having dinner with Lan Hui and Wei Xichun, with no recollection of how she ended up here.

Fixing her with a sharp gaze, Chen Bin asked seriously, "Before I answer, you tell me. What exactly happened when you went to Lan Hui’s office and later to the hotel’s private room?"

Not thinking Chen Bin was a bad person, Wu Jie recounted everything honestly.

After listening, Chen Bin let out a bitter laugh.

"I can’t decide if you’re naive and childish or just plain stupid!"

The harsh remark immediately upset Wu Jie.

"How am I stupid? What’s wrong with wanting to work for the provincial TV station?"

"What’s wrong? Do you have any idea how dangerous last night was?!"

Chastised, Wu Jie fell silent, muttering softly, "I... I just thought they were trying to help me. I didn’t think much about anything else."

"Let me tell you this: the station doesn’t have any new program slots. And Lan Hui has never been trustworthy. Last night, she drugged the wine, planning to hand you over to Wei Xichun!"
