"What's the plan?" Ye Tianfan asked, thinking that if he was told the plan directly, he could proceed to sabotage the mission.

"Using a..." Just as Zhang Youji was about to continue, a shout suddenly came from outside the main hall, growing louder as it approached.

"Report!"

Zhang Youji halted his words to Ye Tianfan and looked toward the doorway of the hall.

Ye Tianfan was a bit disappointed; they were so close, and yet someone managed to interrupt.

"What is it? Speak!" Zhang Youji demanded, turning towards the subordinate who entered from the hall's entrance.

"Reporting to the Sect Leader, there's been a mishap with the Dark Black Tiger's plan. Now, the Dark Black Tiger has gone berserk. Please, Sect Leader, suppress it!" The man urged anxiously to Zhang Youji.

"What?" Zhang Youji was immediately enraged upon hearing this.

The Dark Black Dragon plan had just encountered issues that hadn't been resolved, and now the Dark Black Tiger had problems too. Is my plan truly that defiant of natural law? If so, I still insist on making it happen to show the whole world.

Zhang Youji turned to Ye Tianfan and said, "Zhao Min, I'll tell you about my plan when I'm back."

After speaking, Zhang Youji followed the subordinate and left.

Ye Tianfan stood there in the main hall, glancing around. What was going on? After being called over, he was simply left to his own devices?

However, Ye Tianfan immediately realized this was a golden opportunity. With the biggest boss of the Demon Sect Headquarters gone, wasn't this the perfect chance for him to make his escape!

Ye Tianfan thought of this and quickly stepped out of the main hall, glancing around. As expected, the place was still as tightly guarded as ever, though most of the guards had minor skills.

Ye Tianfan wandered around, looking for an opportunity to leave, even though he didn't actually know where the exit was, nor which direction to head.

While wandering, Ye Tianfan noticed a passage leading out of the valley.

The Demon Sect Headquarters was located in a valley surrounded by mountains, all steep with guards posted above.

Seeing the path, Ye Tianfan nonchalantly made his way towards it, surprised that no one stopped him.

In fact, what Ye Tianfan didn't know was that the Demon Sect Headquarters never detained people, nor was there any other entrance to enter. The guards were there to question those entering the valley, not those leaving, allowing Ye Tianfan to easily walk out.

Once outside, Ye Tianfan wasted no time and flew onward, regardless of where he'd end up, wanting only to find a small town to ask for directions back to his sect.

After flying for half a day, Ye Tianfan still hadn't found any sign of a town. No wonder the Demon Sect Headquarters remained hidden all this time; there wasn't a soul to be seen for miles around.

Feeling hungry, Ye Tianfan had no choice but to descend, intending to find a spot to eat, knowing that his Xuanhuang Tower was stocked with food.

Huh? Just as Ye Tianfan was about to land, he noticed a small town ahead. Calling it a town was an overstatement; it was more of a small mountain village.

Seeing the village, Ye Tianfan forgot his hunger and sped towards it.

Ye Tianfan landed swiftly inside the village, without worrying if he startled the inhabitants. Although time wasn't yet pressing, he still hadn't found his direction.

"Excuse me, where is this place?" Ye Tianfan asked, not completely landing, but hovering in the air, addressing a stunned villager.

The villager was struck dumb upon seeing Ye Tianfan, knowing that cultivators were only commonly seen in villages or towns near sect mountains. Cultivators typically hid themselves when they traveled and didn't reveal their presence easily. People on the ground would rarely spot them flying high above without exceptionally good vision.

So, encountering a cultivator in such small villages was akin to witnessing an immortal.

"Immortal Grandmaster! I've met an Immortal Grandmaster!" The villager was so excited by the sight of an immortal asking him for directions that he could scarcely speak.

"I'm not an immortal, but never mind. What's this place called?" Ye Tianfan initially wanted to explain but gave up after seeing the villager's excitement, fearing his shouting might attract more villagers. So, he asked again, adding a touch of authority to his voice.

The villager was shocked into a cold sweat by this authoritative tone, remembering that the immortal was asking him a question and realizing he'd been acting recklessly, completely ignoring the immortal.

"I actually ignored the Immortal Grandmaster. I've disrespected him, I deserve to die!" the villager exclaimed, beginning to slap himself.

"I #@￥#￥," Ye Tianfan was on the brink of cursing. 'You can beat yourself up after I've left! I'm asking you a question now!'

"What is this place?" Ye Tianfan asked again, his voice more forceful, nearly causing the villager to faint.

The villager finally collected himself and quickly responded, "In reply to the Immortal Grandmaster, this is Morro Mountain territory."

Ye Tianfan blinked upon hearing that, Morro Mountain? He hadn't heard of it; there was no mention of Morro Mountain territory in the geographical maps he consulted in Taichu Mountain's study!

"How far is it to Taichu Mountain from here?" Ye Tianfan continued to inquire.

Now it was the villager's turn to be bewildered. Taichu Mountain? What's that?

It wasn't really the villager's fault. Having lived in Morro Mountain territory all his life without any contact with the outside, he was completely unaware of places beyond Morro Mountain.

Seeing the villager's puzzled expression at the mention of Taichu Mountain, Ye Tianfan understood that the villager didn't know about Taichu Mountain, so he tried another angle: "Do you know where the territory of the Virtuous Sect is?"

The villager still responded with a blank look.

Ye Tianfan was feeling somewhat hopeless; it seemed the villager before him knew nothing about the outside world!

"What places do you know apart from Morro Mountain?" Ye Tianfan asked once more, unwilling to give up!

"Hmm?" The villagers thought carefully, then pointed in a direction: "To reply to the Immortal Grandmaster, there lies Luoshang Town!"

Phew! Ye Tianfan sighed in relief; at least there was a next destination. He could go to Luoshang Town and ask around. Surely, being a town, it would have travelers from all over,

"Thank you, fellow villager." After expressing his gratitude, Ye Tianfan swiftly dashed in the direction pointed out by the villager.

"Oh my goodness, the Immortal Grandmaster actually thanked me and even called me a fellow villager! Wow!" With that exclamation, the villager was so overwrought with excitement he fainted on the spot.
