The Supreme Soldier in the City
Chapter 500: 510: Always Hit the Face
Chapter 500: Chapter 510: Always Hit the Face
John Brown was leading the two of them, dodging left and right. Those guys just couldn’t land a hit on the three of them. Not only that, he was teaching them how to fight back. The onlookers outside were clueless about what was happening; they saw six men being turned around by John Brown and his two companions, unable to hit him at all. Furious, Rachel Wilson shouted, “What the hell are you all doing? Don’t you want your jobs? Just wait until I tell my dad and have you all fired.”
The six guys were both angry and frustrated, completely baffled as to why they couldn’t hit John Brown and his two companions.
“Charlotte, hit the face!” John Brown shouted at this moment.
Sarah Grandy didn’t bother to look at who was in front of her, she just raised her hand and swung it forward. One guy at that moment seemed to intentionally move into Sarah’s fist, getting his face slammed right onto her punch.
With a “thud,” Sarah Grandy’s punch solidly landed on the guy’s nose.
Though Sarah’s punch didn’t have much power, a person’s nose is fragile. That punch immediately broke his nose bridge, causing blood to gush out, and his eyes saw stars. Simultaneously, tears flowed out as his nasal ducts were affected.
“Sandra, slap him!”
Grace Lopez immediately swung her arm around, and with a crisp “smack,” another guy got a solid slap from Grace Lopez. Her aim was perfect.
“Sandra, hit the face!”
“Charlotte, slap him!”
John Brown randomly shouted commands, while Sarah Grandy and Grace Lopez, with their delicate little fists, took turns hitting these rugged men.
Their punches lacked strength and didn’t cause much damage, but they specifically targeted faces, either hitting noses or slapping cheeks. Faces were sacred, after all. Before long, all six men surrounding them had bloody noses and bruised cheeks—it was a pitiful sight.
“Useless! Useless! What the hell do you eat? Didn’t have enough to eat today? Letting two girls beat you up? Are you smitten with these two Little Demonesses?”
Having just been beaten, and feeling incredibly frustrated, Rachel Wilson’s scolding made them feel even more humiliated.
The ones getting hit felt humiliated, and Easton Johnson at this moment also felt embarrassed. Usually, when they go out, they’re the ones dealing blows, not the other way around. He angrily shouted, “Everyone, charge!”
The rest of them rushed forward in a clamor. But Grace Lopez and Sarah Grandy weren’t afraid at all. With John Brown there, no number of people would scare them. Besides, they were having such a blast fighting, why would they stop now?
John Brown didn’t shuffle them out; though they were outnumbered, only a few people could actually engage them up close, merely restricting their movements.
With their movements restricted, John Brown couldn’t move as freely as he did before. He held onto the two of them, giving them pointers while he occasionally kicked, knocking down anyone who posed a threat to Sarah Grandy and Grace Lopez. He did so with great ease.
These twenty or so people besieging John Brown and two beautiful women couldn’t do anything to them. Instead, they ended up getting beaten badly, especially the two women who specifically targeted faces, slapping or punching noses.
You don’t hit someone’s face, nor do you hit the tear glands. But these two ladies specifically targeted faces and often hit tear glands, causing a bunch of grown men to bleed from their noses and cry tears—it was truly miserable.
“Kid, do you dare resist law enforcement violently?” Rachel Wilson, well-versed in the city management tactics, saw her men were not gaining the upper hand, and scolding wasn’t working, so she started to accuse John Brown.
Charlotte, sharp-tongued, immediately retorted, “Is this law enforcement then? Never heard city management enforce the law like this. Are we vending illegally? Or did we build illegally? Take a fist!” During this verbal spar with Rachel Wilson, Charlotte punched another guy, making his nose bleed profusely.
Rachel Wilson had always been a haughty type, and Charlotte’s words caught her off guard. She immediately shouted, “You little slut, do you even know what law is? I’m the law. If I say you’re breaking the law, you’re breaking the law. Now that you dare to lay hands on city management, that’s violent resistance. Locking you up for years is what you deserve.”
Sarah Grandy giggled and said, “Oh wow, such an impressive show of authority. Are you saying the police don’t have to work anymore and you city management guys do everything? Looks like soon the Public Security Bureau won’t need to be open; you all can just arrest whoever you want and beat up whoever you feel like.”
When Easton Johnson arrived, he thought this matter should be easy to resolve. With so many people coming along, they should scare the other side enough to just directly retrieve the video. Who would have thought that over twenty of them went to grab it and still got beaten badly? Their usual bullying tactics were useless in front of this person.
Meanwhile, Jessica Wilson kept trying to embellish the capabilities of the city enforcers, and if this continued, it would probably be even harder to wrap things up. She quickly called Jessica’s father, and the call was answered swiftly. Jessica’s father asked in a serious tone, “Did you get the video back?”
Easton Johnson quickly replied, “Officer Johnson, it’s quite difficult. That guy is impervious to both soft and hard tactics. I brought over twenty people, but we can’t even fight him, let alone snatch the video back.”
“What? What are you all doing? Does he have three heads and six arms?”
“Officer Johnson, it’s really like that. We’ve already got over ten of our people injured here, but the other side is perfectly fine. I think we should consider other approaches.”
“Idiots, you’re all idiots!” Samuel Johnson was so angry he was hopping mad.
“Yes, yes, I am an idiot. But Officer Johnson, trying to use force really isn’t working. Unless the police come, we really can’t handle him.”
“Damn, can we really let the police handle this? I’d lose face completely.”
“But if we don’t stop him soon, and he really uploads the video online, it will be hard to handle. There are some journalists who are specifically waiting online for such things, and those netizens will swarm in when such issues arise…”
“Bullshit, do you think I don’t know that? I don’t care what methods you use; you must stop him from posting the video online now. I’ll be there in just over half an hour too.”
After hesitating for a moment, Easton Johnson cautiously said, “Officer Johnson, truthfully, I feel the main fault lies with… Jessica. If she could just apologize to the person, maybe this would all blow over.”
Samuel Johnson knew that this was his daughter’s fault all along. Whenever his daughter caused trouble, it was always her fault. But he was always a tough man, and his daughter inherited his temperament, refusing to admit wrongdoing even when she was at fault. So this time, when trouble arose, his first thought was to suppress it with power. He never considered the approach that Easton Johnson suggested.
However, this issue isn’t like others. If this kind of tyrannical behavior by an official’s child, relying on their father’s power to bully others, gets spread online, it will certainly attract attention from higher-ups, creating even bigger trouble for him. Currently, the top authorities emphasize diligent governance for the people, and they especially disdain such behavior that oppresses citizens. In the past, even if it reached the internet, they could suppress it, but now it would definitely be strictly investigated.
“Give the phone to Jessica.” Samuel Johnson took a deep breath, making this decision, filled him with great discomfort.
As soon as Jessica Wilson took the phone, she shouted loudly, “Dad, who did you send here? They’re all useless. Twenty-something people couldn’t beat one guy and two little girls. Quickly send more people, pick the strong ones. Also, are there any temporary workers? Aren’t they better fighters? Just gather them all. You have to let me vent this anger today.”
Samuel Johnson snorted and interrupted his daughter, saying, “Apologize to the person.”
“What?” Jessica Wilson jumped as if stung by a hornet, her voice piercing through the sky, heard clearly by everyone present.
“I want you to apologize to him.” Samuel Johnson said helplessly, having no way with this daughter. She was spoiled as a child and now uncontrollable as an adult.
“Dad, are you kidding me? He hit your daughter! And his daughter hit your grandson! He even beat so many of your people! Who do we think we are? We’re city management; since when do we back down?”
Samuel Johnson patiently explained, “Daughter, the video is in his hands now. You said those things earlier; if it gets posted online, your father’s position might not hold. Who will protect you then? Listen to your father, apologize properly to him and retrieve the video. That’s the most important thing. Once the video is in hand, won’t we have plenty of opportunities to deal with him in YODC City? Isn’t it easy for us to deal with someone here? At that time, your father will certainly avenge you properly.”
“Dad, can’t you think of something else? I’ve never apologized to anyone in my life. How do you expect me to say it? No way, just find a couple of public security friends, arrest him directly. He’s just an ordinary citizen; could he really cause chaos?”
This statement was loud enough for some onlookers to hear, and they all felt indignant. What do you mean by ‘ordinary citizen’? Do you think just because you’re officials, you see ordinary people as nothing? You say arrest and they get arrested? But seeing Jessica Wilson with so many people around her, the spectators dared not speak out. If they provoked her anger, they didn’t have someone among them with the guts, and they could easily get beaten up.
