CHAPTER 212: CHAPTER 212
"Where did the ice come from!"
Mia Ginger’s good mood from the date was ruined by the collision, and she snapped back, turning to Wren King. With a stern tone, she said, "I don’t care what kind of tantrum you’re throwing! But understand this, the dorm is a collective space, not your home. Stop annoying everyone with your petty issues, okay?"
Wren King bit her lip angrily, but when she looked up and saw Mia’s forehead had a sizable bump, she quieted down.
"Ice cream." Tong Tong tilted her head and suggested, "Just buy some ice cream at the supermarket and apply it; it’ll definitely help."
"I don’t have time for that."
Mia was leaving the school to meet Koa Jackson and wanted to take the shortest route; going around to the school’s supermarket would be too far.
Getting caught in the crossfire all day was really enough!
Mia snapped irritably before grabbing her purse and heading out.
Feeling downright miserable.
All the way, she kept trying to pull her hair down, hoping to cover the bump.
But she didn’t have bangs, so her hair couldn’t be brushed over.
This dilemma accompanied her all the way to the school gate, where she got into Koa Jackson’s car.
"What to eat?"
Koa Jackson turned his head to ask, then paused, surprised.
He saw the bump on Mia’s forehead.
Reaching up to touch it, he asked hesitantly, "What happened here? Where did you bump, so careless?"
"It’s driving me crazy." All of Mia’s grievances came pouring out, as she pouted with her cheeks puffed out, "Two girls in my dorm don’t get along, so they keep arguing. When they kicked the door, it caught me too, and this is what happened."
"Why weren’t you paying attention?" Koa Jackson said helplessly, unbuckling his seatbelt and urged, "Wait here, I’ll go buy a bottle of ice water for you."
"Alright." Mia squinted her eyes and nodded.
She watched him go through the traffic lights and enter a supermarket by the roadside, then watched him come back.
Koa Jackson bought a bag of old-style ice pops and two bottles of cold mineral water.
Leaning closer to her, he cautioned, "It’s a bit cold, bear with it."
"Mm." Mia opened her eyes wide as he leaned closer, and feeling the coolness on her forehead, she couldn’t help but smile.
"Still smiling?" Koa Jackson said irritably.
"With you taking care of me like this, I wouldn’t mind getting another bump." Mia grinned foolishly.
"What’s that supposed to mean?" Koa Jackson tapped the ice pop on her swollen bump, "Don’t you know you have a unique constitution? Being careful usually is better than anything."
"Ow." Mia hissed, "Today really wasn’t my fault."
"Hold it yourself." Koa Jackson handed her the ice pop, while fastening his seatbelt and asking, "What do you want to eat?"
"Soup dumplings."
"Chapman Soup Dumplings okay?" Koa Jackson drove onto the road, "There should be one a couple of blocks down."
"That’s fine." Mia nodded and smiled.
Koa Jackson focused on driving, and in just a few minutes, they arrived at the location.
As he turned his head, Mia was already eating the ice pop.
It was simply...
Koa Jackson couldn’t find a word to describe his feelings at the moment, just feeling amused and exasperated.
He parked the car and helped her down from the passenger seat.
Chapman Soup Dumplings was a nationwide chain, and even around nine o’clock, it was still packed.
The two took a seat in a private room.
Mia was busy eating the ice pop, so Koa Jackson didn’t bother letting her see the menu; he directly ordered two baskets of soup dumplings, a bowl of porridge, and two side dishes.
The waiter turned around to place the order.
Mia pulled out her phone from her bag and checked the bump on her forehead on the screen.
