CHAPTER 225: CHAPTER 225: GREEN GARMENTS (3)
Koa Jackson stood at the foot of the bed, towering above, and lowered his gaze to watch her for quite some time.
He lifted the blanket and lay down inside.
He felt sleepless.
Usually, his routine was fairly stable, and his sleep quality was consistently good. But now, lying under the blanket, he suspected he might be sleepless for the night.
"Brother Jackson."
The soft voice of Mia Ginger suddenly came to his ears.
Koa Jackson raised his tone slightly and responded with a "Mm" before turning his head to look.
The little girl turned over next to him, furrowing her brow and subconsciously edging closer to him.
Koa Jackson lay on his side.
He surveyed her in the dim light of the room.
He could hear the rustling of bamboo swaying in the wind outside the window.
His heart was calm.
In the midst of the calm, a soothing emotion began to emerge.
——
The next day, in the morning.
Just past seven, Mia Ginger woke up groggily.
Through hazy eyes, she saw Koa Jackson.
He lay slightly on his side next to her, looking at her with a calm and expressionless face, lost in thought.
"Awake?"
Seeing her open her eyes, Koa Jackson lightly curled the corners of his lips and asked.
"Mm."
Mia Ginger opened her mouth to yawn, moved unintentionally, and suddenly realized Koa Jackson’s arm was around her, being used as her pillow.
So?
Is he staying in bed the whole morning because he can’t move?
Mia Ginger thought carelessly, quickly shrinking down, and sheepishly said, "Did I stop you from getting up? I slept too soundly..."
"It’s nothing." Koa Jackson withdrew his arm, extended the other hand to press her shoulder twice, and lifted the blanket to get out of bed, but his movement suddenly slowed by a beat.
Sitting at the bedside with his back turned to Mia Ginger, he said in a light voice, "Go wash up quickly, breakfast is at seven-thirty."
"Oh." Mia Ginger, not thinking too much, responded, got up, and left the bed.
She stepped into slippers, wearing an oversized white shirt, and quickly left the bedroom.
Koa Jackson let out a sigh of relief.
He lowered his gaze to a distinctive spot.
He pressed hard at the tip of his eyebrow twice, stood up, and prepared to take a shower in the bathroom first.
Mia Ginger quickly changed her clothes.
Upon her return, she immediately noticed Koa Jackson showering again.
Early in the morning?
This person seemed overly meticulous.
Feeling a bit bored, she simply poured herself a glass of water and sat on the sofa outside, waiting for him.
It seemed like quite a while had passed before Koa Jackson finally emerged.
Perhaps not expecting her to be outside, he didn’t wear his loose, relaxed summer pajamas like the night before.
Instead, he was wrapped in a light gray bath towel.
For some reason, he furrowed his brow while walking, drying his hair with a towel.
He paused when he saw her.
Mia Ginger never expected him to take another shower in the morning. Suddenly seeing him like this made her tense up, her face reddening as she quickly averted her gaze, stammering, "Well, um, I didn’t know you’d shower again in the morning."
"Mm." Dropping a word, Koa Jackson moved past her, heading toward the wardrobe.
Mia Ginger sneaked a glance at his back, her cheeks growing redder, and she hastily raked her fingers through her hair a few times.
