CHAPTER 385: CHAPTER 393: KOA’S CONFESSION - REQUESTING VOTES (3)
"I don’t have classes later this morning." Mia Ginger looked up and smiled, "So I brought your Christmas gift. The next two weeks I’ve got exams, really busy, won’t have time to see you."
While speaking, she handed over the tote bag she was carrying.
Koa Jackson reached out to take it, glanced down, and smiled, "A scarf?"
"Yeah." Mia Ginger pressed her lips together, "I knitted it."
Koa Jackson was startled, looking visibly surprised, he pinched her cheek, "How did you learn to knit scarves?"
"Just learned, and it’s not that pretty." Mia Ginger’s eyes bent in a smile, she couldn’t help but reach out to pull down the right side of her knitted hat.
Only then did Koa Jackson notice she was wearing a soft, off-white knitted hat.
It made her face look even smaller.
He couldn’t help but laugh softly, "It’s gotten colder these days, there’ll be snow in a few days, wear warmer clothes, don’t catch a cold during exams."
"Mhm." Mia Ginger nodded, her gaze still fixed on the bag in his hand, she looked up and requested, "Put on the scarf, let me see how it looks."
"Now?" Koa Jackson was taken aback, "I’m about to get off work, I’ll wear it after work, and take you to dinner."
"I have to leave now." Mia Ginger frowned, "I’ve got class this afternoon, no time to have dinner with you."
"..." Koa Jackson looked at her confusedly.
After a while, he didn’t think much of it. He lowered his head and took the scarf out of the tote bag.
Didn’t notice—
A registration slip lightly floated to the ground from his side.
When Mia Ginger went to the doctor, she had casually slipped her registration slip into the tote bag.
"How is it?" Koa Jackson wrapped the scarf around his neck with one hand and asked Mia Ginger with a light smile.
"Mhm." Mia Ginger tilted her head, glanced at him, and smiled contentedly, "It looks nice, you always look nice no matter what."
"Never met anyone with such sweet talk." Koa Jackson laughed, raised his hand and gently pinched the corner of her mouth, was habitually about to rub her hair, but saw her hat and paused, instead, he patted her shoulder.
"Then I’m leaving." Mia Ginger squinted and smiled, "You haven’t given me a Christmas gift, I’m busy studying and won’t have time to see you, give it along with next year’s."
"..."
Koa Jackson helplessly curved his lips, "Alright."
"Then I’m off." Mia Ginger pressed her lips, raised a hand and waved twice at him.
"Doctor Jackson!"
A shout from behind suddenly interrupted Koa Jackson’s thoughts, he forgot what he wanted to remind earlier, nodded and said, "Be careful on the way."
"Mhm, I’m off."
Mia Ginger reached out and adjusted her backpack straps, stepped back two steps, then turned and left.
She was wearing a short white down jacket, with a hat, looking slim and frail, yet carrying a rather large backpack, bulging as if very heavy.
Didn’t look back.
Koa Jackson watched her, inexplicably feeling a bit pained.
He sighed lightly, first put the scarf back in the bag, then turned and walked towards the office.
After walking a few steps, he stopped.
He looked sideways at the registration slip that had fallen by his feet.
The hallway is cleaned frequently, always spotless.
And—
When he came out earlier, the outside was clearly clean.
Did that girl come to the hospital for a check-up?
This thought suddenly flashed through, Koa Jackson bent down and picked up the registration slip on the ground.
Mia Ginger, Otolaryngology...
Even an expert appointment?
