CHAPTER 422: CHAPTER 433 I AM DALLAS TAYLOR (6)
He reached out to pull up the quilt for her and gently said, "Sleep now, it’s late."
As he was about to leave, Windsor Myres directly grabbed him and sweetly said, "I want to sleep with you."
Camden River was stunned for a moment.
She hurriedly explained, "Just sleep, nothing else, okay? This bed is so big that the two of us can totally share it."
Camden River paused by the bedside and thought for a moment.
Then he went to the other side, took off his outer clothes, lifted the quilt, and lay down.
Just as he lay down, the phone rang again.
It was Mia Ginger.
He got up to answer, and in a low voice, he said, "Hello?"
"Are you guys already at the hotel? Is everything okay, what about Windsor Myres?" Mia Ginger asked, sounding worried.
"Everything’s fine." Camden River chuckled slightly, "She’s with me, don’t worry. It’s so late, you should rest early."
"..." Mia Ginger hesitated for a moment, "Her clothes and bag are at my place."
"Alright, I’ll come by to get them tomorrow morning," Camden River said.
"Okay then."
Mia Ginger breathed a sigh of relief and hung up the phone.
Holding the phone, she dryly laughed and glanced at Koa Jackson.
Koa Jackson had already finished his wash, wearing the pajamas Mia Ginger prepared, leaning against the head of the bed and frowning at her.
"They..."
"Brother Jackson."
Before he could speak, Mia Ginger interrupted him, holding her phone, "Guess who I ran into on the street today?"
"..." Koa Jackson gave her an unamused look.
Obviously, he understood she was deliberately changing the subject, mainly because she didn’t want to talk about Windsor Myres.
After a slight pause, he played along, "Who did you run into?"
"Bradley Cooper." Mia Ginger sat up immediately, crossed her legs and looked at him, "The one who both acts and sings, and has recently opened a studio to direct, you know? The Heavenly King, super popular domestically."
When Mia Ginger was young, she not only read books but often huddled in rental bookstores to watch TV.
Talking about childhood idols, she was naturally exuberant.
Koa Jackson was slightly stunned.
He seemed to have never seen Mia Ginger so spirited before, her brows and eyes curved, full of smiles, indescribably happy.
Though he always immersed himself in work, he wasn’t so out of touch.
Of course, he knew who Bradley Cooper was.
But—
Isn’t that a man?
In his fifties, nearly twice his age.
Mia Ginger at this age, likes such an older actor?
Koa Jackson looked at her thoughtfully.
Seeing him silent, Mia Ginger simply adjusted her phone to show the photos, leaned closer to him and said, "It’s him. I liked him a lot since I was a kid. I met him on the street today, and he even kindly took two pictures with me. Look, he even squatted down to accommodate my height, such a nice person."
Koa Jackson: "..."
Wasn’t he kind too?
Just having her photo taken with someone, and this girl gets so ecstatic?
Unbelievable.
Koa Jackson looked away, his mood a bit gloomy.
Mia Ginger clearly didn’t notice, or she was deliberately chatting with Koa Jackson to make him forget about Windsor Myres.
Some people prefer to talk ceaselessly when they’re nervous to cover their anxiety, and Mia Ginger happens to be one of them.
Holding the phone, she prattled on to Koa Jackson.
Koa Jackson had no choice but to look, glancing at Bradley Cooper’s face a few more times, a puzzled expression crossing his face as he looked at Mia Ginger.
Suddenly, he thought the two in the photo seemed inexplicably harmonious.
