The Tycoon Has A Secret Crush On Me

CHAPTER 1467: CHAPTER 1390: PEEKING AT HIM
He withdrew his gaze, coughed to cover up his momentary lapse. "Why are you dressed like this today?"
Ye Ranran had never dressed this way before. Ever since he commented on it, she usually wore shirts, black pants, and high heels, rarely putting on dresses, especially not shorts this short.
Ye Ranran glanced down at her outfit. "Is there a problem?"
"I was just worried you might feel cold, that’s all."
Her expression turned curious. "The surface temperature is 25 degrees right now. Do you feel cold?"
"Well, it’s nighttime, and the air conditioning inside is pretty strong."
It sounded reasonable enough.
"I’m not cold. Let’s go; I’ll take you somewhere with good food."
He was wearing long sleeves today to hide his injury, so the two of them casually strolled out of the hotel.
Seeing her head toward the car, Jun Mochan suggested, "How about we walk instead? We can check out nearby places for food."
"This area is a bit secluded; there’s really nothing good around here. I’ll take you somewhere livelier."
"Alright."
Since Jun Mochan’s hand was injured, naturally it was up to Ye Ranran to drive.
"How come you have time to come out tonight?" He had thought he wouldn’t be able to see her for a few days.
"I’ll probably have to start working again later, so we can’t take too long." Truthfully, she had just silenced her phone and planned to check it again after dinner.
He had ended up in this state trying to help her. If she ignored him, it would really be too unfair.
"Remember to take breaks sometimes. These things aren’t tasks you can finish overnight." Elections require schedules.
And before the election begins, she needed to prepare materials, write speeches, review them with Fu Rong, and revise any issues.
On top of that, with him being so picky and meticulous, she wouldn’t be done without running through it at least ten times.
Just thinking about it gave her a headache.
"Mm, I understand."
She brought Jun Mochan to the bustling city center. Walking side by side, Jun Mochan proved to be talkative, chattering about all sorts of topics, always finding something to say.
His voice seemed to have a magical quality that constantly drew her in. Before she realized it, they’d arrived at a street filled with food stands.
"Let’s eat something here. I’ve heard it’s good."
Neither of them were exactly the down-to-earth type, so coming to places like this was rare.
They’d only occasionally heard coworkers mention it. Ye Ranran had long learned to respect others, never looking down or unnecessarily idealizing them.
Seeing her eyes alight with a dazzling brightness, his ink-dark pupils also softened with a hint of a smile. "Alright, let’s go with your choice."
They went into a lively restaurant and stood outside in line for a while before finally getting a spot near the door.
Jun Mochan had dressed casually today too—white T-shirt, black pants. But his outstanding features naturally drew plenty of curious glances from nearby diners.
Yet he seemed entirely unaware, his lips curved in a soft smile. The warm yellow light washed over his face, softening the contours and adding a shimmering charm to the deep black of his irises.
"Am I good-looking?"
"Huh?" Ye Ranran snapped back to reality, only to be greeted by his playful smile. She realized she had been staring at him for a while.
Flustered, she quickly averted her gaze, unsure of where to look, her face brimming with embarrassment.
"Go ahead and keep looking; besides, a lot of other people are watching too." He leaned closer and spoke to her in a lowered voice.
