CHAPTER 1503: CHAPTER 1425: SURVEILLANCE

"He said yes."

Jun Mochan naturally heard, and he felt a bit helpless. Knowing she was startled just now, he comforted her briefly and hung up the phone to avoid distracting her.

One had already checked the entire room for her. Finally, he opened her computer and inspected it. Apart from traces showing the computer had been tampered with, everything else was fine.

"Are you saying everything I’ve done on the computer, he knows?" Ye Ranran’s hands and feet turned ice cold.

Fu Rong’s actions made her feel like she had no privacy whatsoever, as if she were stripped bare and displayed for others to examine.

Besides panic, there was anger.

What right did he have?

What did he take her for?

"Yes."

Ye Ranran’s expression turned cold and severe, her gaze sharp. For a fleeting moment, the impulse to confront Fu Rong surged within her, but she quickly suppressed it.

"Can you help me get rid of it?"

"I can, but he’ll notice," One said, a faint concern flickering in his eyes.

"Let him notice then. I’m not afraid of him noticing."

Perfect timing—she lacked a reason to confront him, and if he found out, it would give her the perfect opportunity to question him.

Seeing her so insistent, One didn’t attempt to dissuade her. Obediently, he helped her remove the Trojan from her computer.

"Do you want to install our internal communication software? If anything comes up, you just need to call out on it, and someone will naturally help you," One asked.

"No, if it gets discovered, that’d be bad." She used to think it was fine, but everything that’s happened these past few days forced her to reconsider.

She was profoundly relieved that she hadn’t impulsively decided to leave with Jun Mochan earlier.

Otherwise, who knows if she’d even be able to get out of F country.

"Don’t worry, it won’t get discovered."

"No," Ye Ranran still felt a bit afraid.

If what he said was true, Fu Rong would check her computer in just a few days.

That man had a twisted obsession with controlling her.

"Alright then. If anything happens, just contact the young master," One said, standing up.

As he was about to leave, Ye Ranran called out to him, "Wait."

One stopped mid-step, his hands naturally hanging by his sides, quietly waiting for her to speak.

Ye Ranran pointed at him and said, "The guy who ran into the tree last time, that was you, wasn’t it?"

He hadn’t expected her to stop him just to mention this. That incident was the most embarrassing thing he’d ever done in his life.

Facing her increasingly curious gaze, he felt a bit awkward and nodded, "Yes."

"Did you know who I was back then?"

"Yes."

So that’s how it was. She had still assumed he bumped into the tree because he was staring at her. She’d thought it odd—sure, she was pretty, but not so dazzling that someone would lose their focus like that.

Watching Ye Ranran’s ever-changing expressions, One couldn’t guess what she was thinking and dared not say much.

"Nothing else," she waved him off.

After One left, not long after, Ye Ranran’s phone rang. She picked it up to see it was Fu Rong calling.

She didn’t want to answer, so she silenced it, set it aside to charge, and went to sleep.

Having been rained on and exhausted from the day, dealing with Fu Rong was far more draining than anyone else. Now that she could relax, drowsiness naturally took over.

Before long, she fell asleep.

Early next morning, as she came downstairs, she saw Fu Rong sitting there.

Ye Ranran’s face showed no hint of surprise. He had called her more than thirty times last night, and when she checked her phone in the morning, all were missed calls from him.

"Awake? How did you sleep last night?"

"Very well. My phone was on silent, so I didn’t hear it. Sorry, I didn’t know you were trying to reach me—what do you need?"
