The Tycoon Has A Secret Crush On Me
Chapter 1521 - 1443: Who Taught You?
CHAPTER 1521: CHAPTER 1443: WHO TAUGHT YOU?
Without waiting for Ye Ranran to say anything, he grabbed the crab from her bowl.
Rivals in love are the most annoying; even if they’re your own brothers, they’re still annoying.
"Share half with me," Ye Ranran said.
"Alright." Jun Mochan obediently split it in half and even helped peel the meat for her.
Jun Baobao’s arms weren’t long enough, and he hadn’t mastered using chopsticks yet. He could only use a spoon to scoop up whatever was in front of him.
Seeing him struggle, Ye Ranran said, "Baobao, what do you want to eat? I’ll grab it for you."
"No need, I can be self-reliant." He rejected her decisively.
Ye Ranran: "..." Is being this independent really a good thing?
"Don’t worry about him." Jun Mochan didn’t care one bit.
Ye Ranran soon realized that, although no one seemed to be paying attention, they were secretly watching him. The moment he stared a little longer at a dish, the next second it would end up right in front of him.
Toward the end of the meal, Jun Baobao stopped eating seafood and focused more on vegetables and egg custard.
When he finished every last grain of rice in his bowl, he put down the bowl and spoon, wiped his mouth, and said, "I’m done eating. You guys take your time."
"Alright, after you’re done, you can walk around, but don’t leave the private room, okay? Also, no playing on your phone or gaming." Jun Mochan reminded him.
"Got it, Dad." Jun Baobao slid off his chair and began moving around the room.
Ye Ranran looked at him admiringly. "He listens to you so well."
"Of course."
She didn’t know that it had taken him six months to win his heart and another six months to teach him to be like this.
Back then, he was still little, spoiled by Huo’s mother, and had no understanding of anything. If he wanted something, he’d either mumble incoherently or cry if others couldn’t understand.
Seeing him like that made Jun Mochan both anxious and heartbroken.
At first, he was resistant to the child. If it hadn’t been for Ye Ranran’s last words of advice, he might have still avoided taking responsibility.
Though her words were spoken softly, he could read them from the movement of her lips. She had said: Take care of the child.
The moment he saw her sink into the sea, he had the impulse to follow her, but then he remembered her advice and held back.
He thought, if she truly were gone, he would raise the child well. When the boy turned eighteen and could be independent, he’d hand over the family business to him.
Then, he would go find her.
That way, he wouldn’t fail her emotionally nor disregard her entrustment.
It’s just... he’d have to live alone for eighteen more years.
Thankfully, she was still here, and so was he.
He and she hadn’t missed each other.
After the meal, Jun Mochan asked Jun Lao to take Jun Baobao home, while he and Ye Ranran wandered around.
Ye Ranran originally thought the boy would kick up a fuss, but unexpectedly, he waved it off and threw out a shocking remark: "Alright, I won’t play third wheel anymore."
Ye Ranran was instantly caught off guard. "Where did he even learn that from?"
Don’t tell her he taught him all this nonsense himself.
Of course, Jun Mochan wasn’t dumb enough to admit it. He shifted all the blame onto Zhou Xian and Chu Ji: "Well, sometimes when I’m busy, I leave the kid with them. You know how single guys are—they need occasional dates and stuff, so... uh... cough cough..." Jun Mochan gave her a look that said "you know what I mean."
Meanwhile, Zhou Xian and Chu Ji sneezed simultaneously.
The two of them were at the office dealing with paperwork. City B was undergoing redevelopment—the old district was being renovated, and the surrounding areas were being incorporated into the city, so there was a lot of work.
