Chapter 1528: Chapter 1550: Whose is He?

“In a hurry for what? We’ve always interacted like this. I’ve been behaving like a monk for three years. You wouldn’t want me to carry on like this, would you?”

Ye Ranran’s face turned bright red. She realized it was impossible to communicate with this kind of shameless person.

“I’m going to brush my teeth.” She pushed him away and headed toward the bathroom.

Knowing she had let it go, Jun Mochan smiled faintly and walked toward the walk-in closet.

Ye Ranran looked at the variety of clothes in the closet, choosing a shirt and some cropped pants, paired with small leather shoes—her usual crisp and skillful attire.

“It’s 7:40; will we make it in time?”

“It’s a bit late,” Jun Mochan replied honestly.

Ye Ranran quickly applied some powder to her face, grabbed her bag, and said, “Then let’s hurry.”

“Slow down.” Jun Mochan grabbed her hand. “If you shouldn’t run, then don’t run.”

How did he know? Ye Ranran turned to look at him in surprise.

“That bullet you took was to protect me.” How could he not know?

Ye Ranran indeed slowed her pace. The two walked downstairs together, where Little Jun was already sitting on the sofa waiting.

“Daddy, Mommy, you’re so slow,” Jun Bao complained.

“Sorry about that,” Ye Ranran apologized.

Jun Mochan instructed a servant to bring two sandwiches over. Once he received them, he took Ye Ranran’s hand and said, “Let’s go.”

Ye Ranran pulled her hand away from his grip and picked up Jun Bao.

A spark lit up in Jun Bao’s eyes, and he immediately wrapped his arms around Ye Ranran’s neck.

Ye Ranran’s eyes glistened faintly, carrying a hint of guilt. She had missed out on so many years.

Jun Mochan’s ride was a Land Rover—not excessively luxurious, but not particularly low-key either.

Sitting in the car, Ye Ranran and Jun Mochan ate their sandwiches with the windows open, the wind whipping through her long hair.

Ye Ranran simply tucked her hair to one side, following the direction of the wind, which caused her strands to blow onto Jun Mochan’s face.

The subtle fragrance reached his nose, and Jun Mochan squinted slightly but continued eating his sandwich.

Jun Bao, holding his school bag, sat quietly in the child’s car seat.

Jun Bao attended a prestigious kindergarten in City B, where all the students came from wealthy or distinguished families.

However, Jun Mochan kept a low profile and never revealed his identity. When dropping off and picking up Jun Bao, he avoided peak times, so apart from the kindergarten principal, no one knew Jun Bao’s real background.

A few teachers suspected something based on Jun Bao’s surname, but these suspicions remained just that—guesses.

Staying low-key was never a bad thing, especially since Jun Mochan couldn’t be sure he didn’t have enemies.

If any of them showed up here, it would spell trouble.

The car stopped in front of the kindergarten, and Jun Bao opened the door and got out on his own.

Just as he was about to wave goodbye, he suddenly noticed Ye Ranran stepping out of the car as well.

“Come on, I’ll walk you in,” Ye Ranran said, holding his hand.

Jun Bao didn’t say much, but his face broke into a wide smile.

At the entrance, they happened to run into a kindergarten teacher.

“Hello, Teacher,” Little Jun greeted politely.

“Hello, and this is…?” The teacher sized up Ye Ranran.

Her delicate features were tasteful, her demeanor gentle and refined, yet her every movement carried an air of authority. Such a woman wasn’t likely to come from an ordinary family.

“I’m his mother,” Ye Ranran replied with an elegant and impeccable smile, as if she were the ideal role model.

“Hello, hello,” the teacher’s expression shifted, suddenly becoming more ingratiating.

Jun Bao let go of Ye Ranran’s hand. “Mommy, I’m heading inside now?”
