CHAPTER 41: ...THE FOLKS IN YOUR TRIBE ARE BLIND

What if I don’t live to see another day after taking just one of them in?

Are beastmen always this ripped down there?

I haven’t seen Damar’s yet but I’m sure the two he hides are not to be trifled with.

"I’m ready!" Fenric boldly announced with no ounce of shame after stripping bare, while I was still trying to calm my raging heart and wondering what to do with his size.

Let’s calm down. I’m a beast man, not a human. I’m sure my body was built to handle it.

I was saying silent prayers, as if I was getting ready to mate when we were just going to have a bath and return to the tribe.

You never know what might happen between two beastmen in the water, right?

I don’t plan on doing it yet but just in case, let me cross my heart a little bit.

"You need to take off your clothes, Arinya," Fenric said, his breath itching on my ear and I wondered when he got so close.

I covered my ear but then gave him access to pull down my skirt.

"What are you doing?"

"You need to take it off." He said, smiling sheepishly. "Or... Is Arinya shy?"

Yes, I’m shy.

"I’ve already seen it all so you shouldn’t worry."

"You mean how you came to me without warning and even touched me," I said to him, my hand slightly trembling over my front.

"I’ll apologize because I was a bit in a rush back then." He said, raising his body as he hovered over me. "And excited. The thought of getting with Arinya made me so excited."

Why did he have no problem saying stuff like that? And he was looking me dead in the eye.

He had no single hesitation as he professed such things. Sure, he was a male and his instincts to mate must be quite dominant, so I’ll give him a thumbs up for holding it in even now as he stands before me naked.

I pursed my lips, feeling sensual again, and blinked slowly, lowering my gaze as I could no longer maintain eye contact and keep my heart from escaping its initial position.

"Then, let’s..." I said with a soft voice. "Let’s go in already."

"Haha, yeah," he said. "But first, this has to come off." he grabbed my bra top and flung it aside in less than a second.

I covered my boobs with one hand and left my other hand over my lower half, feeling shy as I squirmed in place.

It doesn’t get any less embarrassing.

"You know, Arinya," he said but I didn’t lift my gaze.

"What is it?"

"You not only have a pretty face, but a nice body. I wish I could just cup your breasts in my hands firmly, feeling how soft and light they are, but you wouldn’t accept that, would you?"

I gulped.

Did he really want me to answer that? That’s sexual harassment at some level. His words and gaze were already harassing me.

"And I think," he leaned in and whispered in my ear. "...the folks in your tribe are blind."

He was so close. I felt the heat of his breath falling on my skin, as if he was attempting to put me in some kind of mood.

Well, whatever he was doing, it was working.

"They keep calling you Ugly Arinya but you’re not ugly at all."

"Yeah, th-they’re really blind," I said, my eyes twirling as the pressure kept on increasing.

Fenric saw this and chuckled, stepping back with his hands in the air.

"I’ll stop now. I only intended to lighten the mood but I think it’s getting much worse."

Yeah, it is. I almost thought you were trying to seduce me, and it was working so damn well that I wished you’d just pin me down, forget the bath, and take me there.

Am I starved for affection and the touch of a man? Yeah, pretty much.

Plus, he was just so damn handsome so resisting is taking a lot out of me.

I’m a beast too. And this beast wants what other beasts want.

"Let’s go into the water before that snake shows up." He said, leading me by the hand and we slowly walked into the lake.

I actually want Damar to show up.

I looked back, but there was no rustle, not to mention a presence. I closed my eyes as the same rang softly in my head, ’Damar.’

It was a longing I didn’t realize was running so deep.

Inside the water, Fenric held me.

It was a romantic moment to anyone who had a sense of romance.

Bathing in the lake, directly under the mood light, and staring into each other’s eyes. This moment would’ve definitely led to another if I weren’t so cool-headed.

"Fenric," I called,

"Yes, Arinya?"

"Do you want to go on an adventure with me?" I asked but he didn’t answer right away, like he was thinking.

"An adventure?"

"Yeah. I don’t plan to stay in one place and bear cubs." I said, still looking into his eyes as if I could find whatever I was looking for in them.

But when I began to see a little hint of uncertainty in his eyes, I rested my head on his shoulder, hugging him.

"You, me, Damar, and maybe if I find other beastmen I like on the way, I’ll take them along. Let’s all go on an adventure and see different places." I said.

It wasn’t that much of a stretch but I wonder how he viewed it. I’m certain, for some reason, that Damar would agree without a single hesitation since he’s the kind that moves around often, but what about Fenric?

It looks like he’s in line to become the next chief of his tribe. Will he be okay leaving that and going on an adventure with me?

"I’ll understand if you can’t because you need to become the next chief of your tribe," I continued, my hand gently stirring the water, "...but then I won’t be able to remain your spouse since I don’t plan on remaining in one place for too long."

I raised my head and finally looked into his eyes.

"So, what do you say? Will you still become my spouse? Will you travel with me? Or am I going to lose you before I even have you?"
