CHAPTER 293: RYAN VS LIAM

Liam and Jane were still conversing when they realized that their twins were actually dozing off and Liam couldn’t help but look happier because he would finally have his wife’s attention.

"Liam! you’re going to fight with your kids now?"

"You can’t blame me. You see how these rascals are so clever? I sometimes feel like we have some supernatural babies. You’ve just seen their antiques this morning, but wait until you spend some more time with them, then you’re going to tell me."

Liam immediately defended himself as he took the twins out of Jane’s hands and slowly carried them to their master bedroom where their baby cribs were.

The man came back singing a song as he cleaned the room, took out the dishes and trash, and made sure that the air in the room was okay for Jane.

"Hubby."

"Yes, love."

"Please call Ryan. I want to get out of this bed. I want him to come check if I’m okay."

Liam immediately rushed for his phone the moment he heard this, but Jane thought that the man was just excited for her to finally get out of bed.

If only she knew the man was excited because he wanted to know if she was okay or when her body was going to be okay for that kind of activity, then she would literally smack him with all the machine wires laying around.

"Hey bro, what did you do to my sister this time round?"

Those were the first words that came out of Ryan’s mouth the moment he picked up the phone and he felt like his brother-in-law had done something he shouldn’t do again.

"Hey! Do you doubt me that much? Anyway, um, would you please drop over just for a few minutes? Uh, she’s doing okay and I would like for you to do a final check on her."

"You know, you don’t have to be polite when it comes to my sister. I’m actually on my way right now. I was actually intending to come back."

Ryan was about to hang up the phone when his daughter took the phone and started mumbling incoherent words towards Liam because she heard her uncle’s voice.

Liam burst out laughing because he felt like this young lady was complaining to him about what she had suffered through the two parents, and he couldn’t help but imagine how his sons behavior was even worse than how his niece behaved.

"okay , okay baby, You have spoken to uncle, now I have to go see your auntie okay, yes. Stay with your mama, alright?"

Ryan could be heard mumbling quite a number of words to his daughter as Liam had not even hung up the phone because he was enjoying seeing Ryan being tormented by his own daughter the same way he got tormented by his own twins.

Chloe watched in an amused manner as Ryan tried to calm down their already vigorously active daughter, and she couldn’t have but want to face Palm herself because she realized that this girl was just extremely active and just like Jane, the woman had the thought of how they were going to deal with this girl once she became a full grown toddler because she smelled trouble!!

"Okay baby, bye. I’m gonna see Jane and how she’s doing."

Ryan shortly informed Chloe before the two parted after having a short kiss, and the man couldn’t help but immediately rush to his car because he just felt like rushing to Liam’s house.

He didn’t know why, but he felt like he should speed up.

"He’s coming. He’s coming. He’s coming.!"

Liam came into the room shouting in happiness as he had a mischievous look on his face.

Jane could naturally notice this mischievousness, and the girl couldn’t help but close her eyes in wonder before opening them up, as if whatever she was going to hear was something she needed to prepare herself for.

"Baby, can we trick him a little bit? Just a little bit...please...."

"Liam, how old are you? You’re too old to be playing such games!"

"Oh, come on, baby. It’s just a little play on him. It don’t matter. Just a little bit, please."

Jane rolled her eyes at the man’s attempt to have doey, seductive eyes, but of course she was not going to say it loud, but the man’s eyes in that kind of shape, was making her feel things heat up...

"Fine, what should I do?"

Liam immediately smiled in a creepy manner as he gave Rose the instructions before rushing downstairs to welcome Ryan.

"Oh, brother-in-law, Welcome! welcome bro."

Ryan looked at Liam in a suspicious manner because the man seemed so happy and active, that he certainly had some doubts, but he was not going to say it loud.

It was as if Liam had noticed that he was supposed to be acting as a certain type of character with certain emotions. The man immediately switched as he held his hand on his forehead, trying to smoothen out the lines that were apparently starting to appear.

"Oh, the twins have just taken me through a rollercoaster as we were just playing moments ago. I feel tired and it’s barely mid morning!"

Ryan immediately dispelled his doubts the moment he heard the twins because he had experienced their energy at first hand and the man could be said to be tired trying to keep up with such children because they were so energetic and he couldn’t help but try to understand him and where he was coming from.

The moment Liam saw the doubt in Ryan’s eyes clear, the man immediately smirked inwardly as he followed Ryan upstairs.

"Oh, the air around here seems so nice. It seems so peaceful. I know my sister will like it when she wakes up."

That is the first thing Ryan commented the moment he got into the room Jane was in, because the air indeed smelled so peaceful. It smelled so nice and of course, for someone like Jane, this kind of air would really make her happy.

Liam did not say anything but just agreed with the man as he sat on a chair as he watched the play about to take place so as he felt Ryan should at least have a little bit of a heart attack before leaving this place.

"Wow. The machines look so responsive! I think at this point, if she works up, then she won’t need any of those machines. We’ll just need to exercise her body, just move around a little bit, stay in an environment, preferably the garden, that will make her feel some type of peace, make her get enough vitamin D and yeah..."

"Are you sure, bro?"

"Yeah, I’m sure you just have to stay in an in.. Wait, what?!!"

"You..."

"You are awake..."

Ryan was busy giving out his evaluation, and Jane casually opened her eyes as she threw him back a question when the man answered, but immediately stopped when he realized that the person on the bed had her eyes wide open and he could look at those beautiful green eyes, making the man immediately back away in fear and excitement as his hand shook trying to point at her.

Liam had already started giggling inside, looking at Ryan’s reaction, but he pretended to be so casual and Jane couldn’t help but want to burst out loud. Her brother looked so cute!

Ryan immediately stopped his actions as he stood straight and started patting his chest, as if telling himself that he had just escaped a very dangerous dream encounter.

"Ha, I must have had many dreams and this is just one of them trying to manifest in between! Wow!"

Jane and Liam both watched in a stupified manner as Ryan immediately convinced himself that he was just dreaming and that Jane was really not awake.

Jane felt greatly offended by Ryan’s action, that she immediately took a bottle that was within her reach and aimed it at Ryan’s head and the moment the man turned to look at her, he was met face to face with a bottle that was coming at him at a dangerous speed.

"Hey!"

"Wait, you’re really awake? My sister is awake!!"

"Hold on, Why do I feel like I’ve been played somewhere?"

Ryan’s eyes started darting between the couple, and he could tell that this was a joke that was being played on him, but before the man could even speak, the woman on the bed quickly humped her head in dissatisfaction.

"Hmph!! I feel like I have outlived my usefulness. So you mean to tell me my brother can’t even believe that I’m awake? That I can’t even do it?"

"I’m also so disappointed, baby! Imagine he doesn’t believe in you and he’s your elder brother. Oh, I would be equally pissed off!"

Liam immediately backed his wife as he intended to add more salt to the injury, only for Ryan to raise his brow at him as if asking him if he should open his mouth and get him into trouble instead.

Liam rolled his eyes at him, as if asking him what a harmless human being like him or do to him, only for Ryan to finally scrunch his face in determination, as if telling him to wait and see.

"I was just so surprised to see this. This is a beautiful surprise that you have prepared for me beautiful sis but at least I’m not like someone who almost believed that his woman can’t wake up from her coma, I mean...."

"LIAM YANG!!"
