CHAPTER 560: THE BIRTH OF A DEMON

The villainess had died. Abrielle’s body slowly grew cold in his arms. He placed his hand on her bleeding wound, desperately trying to stop the bleeding.

His sword was coated with his dark aura; the strike was strong enough to kill Lucian, making it a deadly kill for Abrielle. Everything flashed in his head, the warnings about their fate.

Elysia had warned him, but he refused to listen; he believed he had it all under control.

Lucian’s body was numb in Callista’s hand and was a heavy weight on her. Callista knew she was strong, but from what she witnessed from Lucian and Cedric, she doubted she could stand a chance against him.

She has a feeling that wasn’t his full ability.

She struggled to move Lucian, "Please wake up." She begged, keeping her voice low, before they caught Cedric’s attention. A suffocating pressure filled the entire castle and was rapidly spreading.

Silvanius, who was nearby, sensed it; it felt like death, and his eyes flickered, and he rushed towards the source. His heart raced, he had never felt fear this way.

Callista was still desperately trying to wake Lucian. He stirred a bit, coughing out blood.

His ears were ringing and he managed to open his eyes. He didn’t hear Callista calling his name. He was in a haze

Lucian’s eyes stared at Cedric, cradling Abrielle like a broken doll, his face twisted into madness. That wasn’t the same man he fought minutes ago....

Cedric’s hands trembled as he held her close, his power leaking uncontrollably, spilling into her lifeless body that no longer responded.

"No..." his lips quivered, refusing to accept the truth. His breath came in sharp bursts. "No, not like this. Not you."

He pressed his forehead against hers, rocking her in his arms as if that alone could keep her here. "Wake up, Abrielle. Please... if you open your eyes. I’ll give you everything, everything you want... just don’t leave me." his voice broke as he made a promise to a dead woman.

Silence....just silence

She could not respond; her soul had already drifted off. She was really dead... The one person whom he wanted to protect.

The one thing that made sense in his life...was gone. Silvanius arrived at the scene, and his eyes immediately fell on the bloodied corpse of his daughter.

"How.." he blurted. What was she doing here? The feeling of foreboding grew....

Cedric’s scream tore through the battleground. The ground shook, rubble splitting under the pressure of his aura.

The entire castle came to a halt, soldiers froze, the air itself trembling from his grief. Even Callista’s breath hitched.. "Lucian, we need to leave now." She begged, tears rolling down but the prince’s body was numb.

Cedric was breaking, his entire world shattered before his eyes.

Cedric buried his face in her hair, his tears burning as they turned into drops of blood. "I was supposed to protect you. Why do you always want to leave me? I thought you loved me?!" His voice cracked, raw and unrecognisable.

From the start, she never wanted to stay by his side. He trembled just holding her; everyone held their breath, too scared to move. Never had they imagined a day would come where they would witness the first prince cry...

He cried, his voice dying down, a sad smile on his face as he rubbed his bloodied fingers on the delicate skin of her face. He laughed, "Just wait for me. We will meet again." Cedric said. There was a certain chill in his voice that gave everyone the shivers.

He carried Abrielle in his arms, then walked to a corner, where he carefully placed her. Cedric placed a kiss on Abrielle’s head, his actions deliberate like she was still alive.

He turned around, picked up the black sword dripping with his beloved blood. Eyes zeroed on Callista. He never knew why, but Abrielle hated Callista; she hated him.

It was all because of this cursed kingdom and family. It was fine, he would make them burn.

"Are you happy?" He asked Callista. Callista swallowed, "Cedric she brain watched you. Abrielle isn’t who you think she is...." Before Callista could finish her words, a strong Force knocked her and Lucian away.

Lucian, who was barely awake, completely went unconscious. Blood spewed from Callista’s mouth, her eyes met his pitch black eyes. Her stomach squirmed. She had never seen him like this.

Her alarm bells all went off, this wasn’t the Cedric she knew. Callista gathered her strength and then summoned an ice attack.

Cedric didn’t even bother to dodge, the attack disappeared before even getting close to him. He smirked. "So this is your best." Cedric moved, no one could follow his movements.

How could a mere human compare to a divine being? Cedric didn’t care about being found out by Elaris. Doesn’t it matter now that Abrielle was dead?

He unleashed her full strength, a demon was now working among men. Callista’s body could not even withstand his attack. A second went by, and all that was left of her was a puddle of blood, her body completely obliterated.

Silvanius watched, stunned, he had never seen such power. Cedric glanced at what was left of Callista.

He felt hollow and numb. Then he glanced at Lucian. A chuckle broke and his grip tightened.

With a smirk, Cedric went wide and started to destroy the palace. Silvanius clenched his fist he could not let Cedric spiral out of control. All the soldiers in the blink of an eye were dead. Luckily, none of Cedric’s men were around, or who knew what would happen to them.

He moved towards Cedric. "Please stop this, you might destroy the entire city at this rate," Silvanius warned but Cedric had gone deaf.

He disappeared, going to another part of the palace to purge them. Silvanius was about to chase after him when the youngest prince charged in front of him, stopping him.

"We should warn the others," Alfonso said. Silvanius frowned. Alfonso was the insider who helped them, so he should understand why they should stop Cedric. Why was he stopping him?

His jaw clenched. Alfonso seeing his reluctance added

"Even if you want to stop him. Do you think a human can stop that?" As if on cue the cloud turned dark, the air heavier.

It was a high-level spell. Silvanius’s stomach churned because he feared Alfonso was right
