The Witch and Her Four Dangerous Alphas
Chapter 212: Truth
CHAPTER 212: CHAPTER 212: TRUTH
Selene’s POV~
My heart was still pounding from everything that had happened, but I forced myself to push all the heat and the strange pull of these men aside.
I did not have time for it. I had already wasted too many precious minutes, and dawn was coming. I needed answers. I needed a plan. And more than anything, I needed to stop getting dragged into the burning way their eyes followed me.
So I took a long breath, steadied myself, and looked straight at Aeron.
Out of all four of them, he was the calmest. The one who could pull the others back when they were too wild. And right now, I needed calm. I needed control. I needed someone who would actually listen instead of reacting.
Aeron held my gaze, his grey eyes steady, waiting.
And I didn’t waste a single second.
"I want to kill Alpha Drevan, Alpha Corvus, and... Alpha Merek."
The words fell out of my mouth like a blade. Clean. Sharp. Direct.
I didn’t soften them.
I didn’t explain.
I didn’t ask for information or advice.
I stated my goal.
Every muscle in the room went still.
All four brothers sat up straight. Even Kael, who usually lounged like a lazy predator, was staring at me with wide eyes. Luca’s expression hardened. Lucian stopped breathing for a moment. Aeron’s jaw tightened, the only sign that my words had shaken him.
Because the names I spoke weren’t random.
They were the pillars of the Werewolves Council.
The three men...along with Alpha Navien, who was already dying...who essentially ruled the entire werewolf world.
Men that even alphas didn’t approach without permission.
Men surrounded by layers of guards, political power, and brutal loyalty. Men impossible to reach.
And I had just declared I wanted to kill them.
But their shock wasn’t only because of the target.
It was because of the look in my eyes.
Aeron leaned forward slowly, studying me. Luca’s nostrils flared. Kael and Lucian exchanged a brief, silent glance.
They weren’t afraid of the names.
They were startled by the killing intent pouring out of me.
They looked at me like they were seeing a side of me I had kept buried. Their eyes silently asked me to continue. Not because they doubted me. Not because they hesitated. They just wanted to understand. If I asked them to kill the entire continent, they would probably try. But they wanted to know why.
So I finally told them.
I clenched my fists, nails digging into my palms. "They were behind the attack. The night I almost died." My voice shook for one second—just one—but I pushed through it. "Those men wanted me dead. And they almost succeeded."
The brothers’ expressions darkened instantly.
Pain.
Rage.
Protectiveness.
All of it flickered through their faces at once.
They had come here originally to avenge their "mate"... not knowing I had survived. Not knowing I was the one burned, hunted, and nearly executed. They had believed I died in that fire, and truthfully, I should have. The flames had been too strong, the malice too deep.
"I only survived because of one person," I continued.
Their attention sharpened.
"You know the witch mother of the coven," I said slowly.
They nodded. Everyone knew her. She was the leader of the witches, the most respected figure of their whole race.
"She saved me," I said. "But she also lied. She pretended I died. She hid me. Manipulated my entire identity." My voice broke into a bitter laugh. "She even tried to erase who I was. If it wasn’t for my powers resisting her spell, I would’ve woken up as a completely different person."
All four brothers looked absolutely murderous now.
Kael’s hands curled into fists.
Luca’s eyes went dark and wild.
Lucian’s jaw twitched.
Aeron looked like he was one breath away from making a plan to burn the entire witch coven to the ground.
I kept going before I lost my nerve.
"That’s why I have a different face. A different name. A different identity. She forced it on me." I pressed a hand to my chest. "And if she tried this once, she can do it again. She isn’t the real danger...the Council is. Their influence spreads everywhere. Even in the Lycan palace."
My voice steadied again, cold and certain.
"So I’m not here for information. I’m not here to negotiate."
"I want to kill them."
"All of them."
The room felt like it was holding its breath.
Because the truth was brutal:
I could fight the witch mother alone.
But I couldn’t fight the entire Council.
Not with their power.
Not within their reach.
Not with the hidden forces behind them.
I needed backup.
So I lifted my chin, stared at the four most dangerous brothers in the werewolf world, and spoke clearly, without hesitation:
"I’m going to destroy the Werewolves Council. And I want your help."
I didn’t know whether they would agree or not, but a part of my heart was screaming they would...that they would go to any length for me.
But my mind was not willing to trust...will they really help her...after all, she was just their mate...and on the opposite side was their kin...the werewolves.
And who is she to ask them to kill their own kind...while she is nothing? Maybe after surviving alone in this cruel world...she has forgotten to trust...her mind always refuses to believe anyone.
But her heart, it was screaming...to trust them. That if everyone is against her, they will not.
When she suddenly looked up, she found four eyes pinned on her, and she felt her heart flutter with nervousness and dread.
And to make matters worse, Aeron suddenly stood up from his seat and walked towards her with calm and dangerous steps...making her heart pound harder with every second.
"What is he going to do..."
Why does he seem so serious?" The words resonated in my mind as I gulped down my nervousness.
But when he was just beside me, I got jumped scared when he suddenly kneeled in front of me and took my hands in his big hands.
