The Wolfless Luna's Revenge: Returning With His Secret Twins
Chapter 205
h4Chapter 205: Chapter 205/h4
[SAMANTHA’s Point of View]
It was starting.
Nothing and no one can stop it froming.
I gave my husband a warm, passionate kiss as the emotions within me began to stir up my fear. I was filled with the fear that this war might be the final time I would see him. But I had faith that the Moon Goddess would protect my family. She would defend the Silver Crescent pack just as he had protected us during the many times we were on the verge of death in the ck Forest.
My husband is a powerful warrior, and he would survive this. Not just for the pack but for me and the children. He would survive like he always did every time he stayed to protect me and the twins. He survived the curse. He would get through this, too, and win the war for all of us.
His soft lips brushed smoothly and softly against mine as I felt the tip of his tongue licking my lower lip in a suppressed hunger. Our breaths were wild as we held on to each other, kissing and memorizing each other’s smell as I inhaled his scent, filling my lungs and heart with it.
I love him. I love him with every fiber of me, and yet I still couldn’t trust these feelings because I was scared this would not end well for both of us. I couldn’t risk my heart getting hurt again and make the kids watch how it would devastate me.
Goddess! I never wanted them to hate Dominic more than they already did when they found out he was their dad.
And Devon... my little Devon would never forgive him if that ever happened again.
Gasping, I gently pulled away from Dominic and noticed the confusion in his eyes as I lifted my face to gaze into his hazel ones. I was also confused about my feelings, but I realized that this wasn’t the right time to sort everything out. We needed to focus. We needed to fight Olivia, and I promised myself I would face these feelings once peace was restored in the Silver Crescent pack.
“I have to head back to the city to check on the kids,” I whisper to him with a small, awkward smile as I slip my hands in the pockets of my worn-out jeans. My heart was rumbling in my chest, and all of a sudden, the tension between us made it hard for me to stare back in his eyes.
He looked at me like he wanted to ravage me in that spot where we were standing.
Dominic let out a raspy, heavy breath. I felt his warmth radiate through me as he lifted his hand to reach my face and forced me to look at him with his thumb and forefinger on my chin.
His eyes were filled with ardent emotions that I had never seen in them before. Something about Dominic changed. As I stared into his face while he held me by my arms, I couldn’t help but bite my lower lip hard, trying my hardest to suppress the desire that suddenly rose in my chest.
And to be honest, this feeling scared me a little.
“I will do my best to prevent Olivia from getting anywhere near you and the kids,” he said softly, his voice hoarse with an ache that I couldn’t fathom. “I wille back,” he continued as he pushed my hair behind my ears and then leaned down to kiss the top of my head. “I will bring back the peace in Silver Crescent, and we can start again.”
Those words formed a lump in my throat as I stopped the tears from welling in my eyes.
“Come back to us, Dominic,” I said instead, and then smiled at him with sad eyes. “The twins need you. Don’t you dare die.”
He chuckled, grabbed my hand, kissed the back of it, and then said with a grin, “I have no n on dying today.” We will all go home after this and have a pic on the hill where we first brought our little warriors.”
“Yeah,” I smiled back and then squeezed his hand. “I will hold on to that.”
His smile widened as he let go of me and gave me a short nod that I could go. Part of me never wanted to leave, scared that I would never see him again. But I had to go to Devon and Diana and make sure they would be safe throughout the attack of the Fang Trinity and the ck w Organization. We already nned for this. And I would make sure no enemies would evere closer to my twins.
Liam was already waiting for me in the car when I approached it. Dominic asked him to apany me, protecting the kids. Killian and the other Alphas would stay with him and help him strengthen every gate of the city against the enemies once they manage to bring down the walls and get past the Gamma wards who defend it.
I couldn’t resist biting the side of my fist as Liam drove back to the city, considering what I could do to support my husband. As long as Olivia was alive, she would do everything possible to hunt down the kids and kill them as a way to punish both me and Dominic. She would go past the gates, and if she ever found out where the kids were hiding, my husband and I believed she would go straight to us, and that’s the chance we were both waiting for.
“Dominic will be alright, Samantha.” Beta Liam looked at me through the rear mirror and saw the same apprehension in his eyes. “He would do everything possible to go back to you and the twins. He has all the support of the Alphas.”
“Thank you, Liam. I just wish this would end fast...”
*****
Five hours had passed.
The siege had already begun, and part of the city, if not exploding, was already on fire. We and the kids were hidden in the clock tower, where we could see everything happening in Silver Crescent. Olivia’s forces had already entered the gates, and Dominic was there to stop them. I was just not sure where Killian was, since Liam told me the MoonStone Alpha had disappeared in the middle of the battle.
“I have a feeling he went looking for Brianne. He must have had intel on where he could find her. He has to go get her before Olivia gets there first and kills her.”
“Mom!”
I was rmed when I heard my little boy crying for my attention and saw him pointing outside the wide window that overlooks the south side of the city. Liam and I immediately ran towards him in panic.
“What is it!” I asked as my heart raced. An enemy? Another explosion?
“I think I saw the Shadow Woman’s wolf on this side, Mom!” Devon spoke with rm in his voice, and his little face was pale with fear. “I think I saw her here with a bunch more shadow werewolves behind her.”
To my surprise, I felt my husband’s presence inside the tower, and the door opened, revealing him smudged with dirt and blood on his face and shirt.
“Dominic!” I gasped. There was a side gash on his arm that was already healing slowly. The curse in him made it difficult for my husband to heal, but Dominic’s blood as an Alpha slowed down the effect of the curse in him.
I wanted to run to him, but that dark, grave look on his face locked me in where I was standing, and I just watched him approach us and the kids. Diana immediately went to her Dad, though and I was about to tell her not to jump on her dad, but Dominic smiled at his little girl and then patted her on the head.
“Don’t worry,” Dominic said in his soft voice as he approached the window and looked down at Olivia in her Wolf form together with the shadow werewolves around her. His jaw tightened as he looked down on my worried face. “There are moonstone mines beneath this clock tower. Moonstone drives away shadow werewolves that’s why I brought you here and the kids. You are all safe here.”
That gave me a sense of relief as all the tension and fears in my body rxed. I looked down again and saw how she writhed in pain as she tried to force herself to enter the barrier that surrounded the area. The shadow werewolves behind her started to howl, all frustrated and furious.
“What happened to you out there?” I asked as I put my hand on his chest and that put a glimmer of life in my husband’s eyes. “Are you alright?”
He took my hand and kissed the center of my palm, sniffing it. “Yes, I am alright,” he answered with a small smile and then smiled at Devon and Diana to ease the worry of the kids. “I just came here to check on all of you. I heard she is heading this way. Just as we all thought she would.”
I watched him kneel in front of Diana and put a talisman around her wrist. Diana looked at him, curious. He was about to go to Devon, but Devon froze, his face red, looking embarrassed and ufortable in front of his dad.
Dominic knew that Devon hadn’t warmed to him yet, so he smiled and quickly ced the talisman on Devon’s wrist while saying, “This thing will protect you.” This is also made from Moonstone I found in my mother’s bedroom yesterday.”
“Dad, be careful out there.” Diana’s eyes were teary as she wrapped her arms around Dominic’s leg, not wanting her dad to go fight again, but she understood that he had to. “Promise me you wille back to us!”
I felt nervous when I saw Dominic stiffen in response to Diana’s embrace, but he leaned over and gently ruffled the top of her hair while smiling. “Yes, I wille back and save everyone from those shadow werewolves.”
“You bettere back,” Devon pouted his lips and averted his eyes from Dominic. He was furious and shy at the same time. “You better not make Diana and Mom cry again.”
Dominic and I looked at each other and then smiled.
“Yes, I will be back. I promise.” He said to his son and I saw how Devon’s eyes softened with tears on them.
