The Wolfless Luna's Revenge: Returning With His Secret Twins
Chapter 214
h4Chapter 214: Chapter 214/h4
[SAMANTHA’s Point of View]
I couldn’t believe this was happening.
I never expected this would even happen!
Dominic, Killian and I walked through the forest in the middle of the night with slow, careful steps. We had to be extra careful due to the thick fog, and we needed to remain calm so as not to attract the attention of the beasts roaming in this part of the forest. The three of us remained silent and as much as I wanted to exin it to my husband, I preferred to just keep my mouth shut because I knew he would burst into anger if I ever dared say a word.
The surroundings around us were filled with tension, and I could tell that Killian was being extra careful not to upset Dominic anymore. I didn’t know why they suddenly decided to go with me but it was bad that my husband saw me and Killian talking in the middle of the night and in a ce where I shouldn’t be.
I defied my husband. That’s what I did.
Baffled, my eyes widened when Dominic suddenly grabbed me by the wrist, pulling me closer to him. I noticed that Killian’s brows deepened as he watched the Silver Crescent Alpha’s furious face.
“You don’t have to do that, Dominic. I am just here to help Sam. What are you even thinking?” Killian scoffed at my husband as his eyes darkened.
“What am I thinking? I am wondering what you two are doing here when you both know that it is dangerous to get outside the walls! And you, Samantha,” he turned at me, the veins on his forehead appearing, “What the hell are you thinking going out of Pack Manor in this kind of hour to go here!?”
“She is concerned about you—”
“Shut the f*ck up, Killian. I am not talking to you,” Dominic hissed threateningly at the MoonStone Alpha.
“It’s okay, Killian. Please, I need both of you to calm the f*ck down!” I snatched my arm away from Dominic’s grip and flinched away from him gently. “I didn’te here for some stupid sh*t! I came here because I have a purpose!”
“And what purpose is that, Samantha!? You know that this ce is infested with shadow werewolves and you still chose to put yourself in danger! For what!? Tell me!” Dominic’s voice was full of anger and hurt as he asked the questions.
“I know you are furious with the recklessness I showed here, Dominic, but the situation we have is giving me no choice! I have to find the cure—”
“You know I forbid you to go outside the walls, Samantha! You have no idea how scared I feel when you’re in danger and I can’t do anything because I wasn’t by your side! You could have just told me about this! About your n to go to the Moon Wolf Spring!”
“She couldn’t tell you, Dominic, because she knows that the curse weakens you!” Killian intervened and stepped between me and my husband, trying to defend me. “Look at you! You can barely control your temper because your body can’t handle it anymore! She is just f*cking concerned about you!”
“Killian, stop...”
Dominic leaned closer to Killian’s face, threatening the MoonStone Alpha as he bared his teeth. He growled in his deep, raspy voice, “You shouldn’t even be here, Killian. Why are you here? Do you need anything about my wife?
Killian stepped away from Domnic with utter frustration. He tossed his hand in the air in disbelief and rolled his eyes. “I can’t believe it. What do you think of me, Dominic?! I have a mate!? I am just here as a friend who is f*cking concerned for Samantha’s safety!”
“You can go now!” Dominic growled once again as he looked at me. His eyes were dark and piercing. “I can protect my wife on my own!”
“Yeah? In that condition? Don’t make meugh, Dominic. Stop with your f*cking pride.” Killian shook his head with a taunting smirk. “We all know here that you can’t fight like you used to anymore. You are badly damaged because of the curse! Your wounds haven’t healedpletely yet after your fight with Olivia and her shadow puppies!”
Dominic’s eyebrows. “And yours healed already? Don’t pretend you are in a better condition than I am. We know that you are f*cking dying too.”
That’s it! I couldn’t tolerate this anymore!
“Can both of you stop that kind of conversation?! This is not funny!” I said angrily as I pushed both of them away from each other. “You are both not supposed to be in here! I can go to the Moon Wolf Spring alone!”
“As if I will let you go there on your own, Samantha,” Dominicshed at me. “We have no idea what kind of beasts are guarding that ce. Please don’t forget how we almost died when we were attacked by a giant squid in that undergroundke when we searched for the Ancient Library.”
“He’s right, Samantha—”
“Of course, I’m f*cking right!” Dominic snarled at Killian.
I saw that Killian was starting to lose his patience as he approached Dominic with angry, glowing purplish eyes. “Look, Dominic. I know you are upset and worried about Samantha, but with your situation, I don’t think you are in the right condition to go with her. You are not strong enough—”
“What did you say?” Dominic curled his fists as he red at Killian. “You f*cking say it again, Killian! I dare you!”
“It’s the truth, Dominic! You ran out of the potion that suppresses whatever is trying to control you! It’s just a matter of time until you lose it. You can’t go with me and Samantha!”
“I know my own body, Killian. You have no say in what I feel and don’t. If Samantha thinks she needs to go to the Moon Wolf Spring, then I will take her there.”
Killian gave me a warning look as if what Dominic said was a dangerous idea. We both knew that the curse was beginning to affect my husband’s wolf form, and if he failed to control those voices in his head, it would be the death of me and the MoonStone Alpha.
Dominic must have seen the apprehension on my face as he looked down on me and couldn’t say anything about what would be best for us. He let out a heavy sigh, shook his head gently while massaging the space between his eyes, and then decided to calm down.
“I know you are both worried about me having a problem with the curse, but I can control it. At least I can for now while we search for the cure. I know that I am not the only one who is having a problem with it because I know you ran out of your potion, too, Killian.” His eyes darted at the MoonStone Alpha, which made my eyes widen because Killian didn’t mention it to me.
Dominic continued, “That’s why I am here. I want to know if the ce was safe for Samantha.”
Killian looked at me as if telling me that the decision was mine.
Of course, I wanted my husband to be with me, so I nodded gently and smiled softly at Dominic. “Please don’t feel angry now that you know I am just looking for a way to help you, my love. I can’t wait for the healers to find a way on their own to suppress that curse spreading in your body. I have to find the solution in my own way, and I believe your Mom’s diary holds the real answer for everything that we need to do.”
“You have my Mom’s diary?”
“Yes,” I answered as I ced my hand on the side of his cheek. “I need to do something, Dominic. I never want you to suffer anymore. I can feel that you have been just enduring the a pain, and that is not okay. It hurts me to see you like that. The kids notice too. And that makes them really sad.”
Dominic was surprised when I told him that Diana and Devon knew that their dad was slowly deteriorating from the inside and the thought made him bite his bottom lip hard as he sighed heavily at me. The pain was shown in his hazel eyes as our eyes locked in an understanding that we had each other no matter what.
“So?” Killian asked, looking a little bored as he watched me and my husband stare at each other. “Are we going or not?”
“I’lle with you,” Dominic insisted as he looked at me sideways as if telling me I had no other choice but to let him. He red at Killian once again, though, as he gave the MoonStone Alpha a warning, “But I don’t want to see you anywhere near Samantha!”
Killian rolled his eyes as he threw his arms in the air. “Oh Goddess, Samantha. Make your husband stop.”
I couldn’t help but justugh silently at the two as the three of us decided to go deeper into the woods.
