The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human?
Chapter 1053 673: Metropolis Truly Breeds Extraordinary People
"You're right."
Manager Zhong said after a moment of silence.
"Great. Then let's go to your office now and talk business."
Liu Zheng patted him on the shoulder and said.
"This way, please."
Manager Zhong bowed slightly and led the way, just as he would with any other big client.
The two of them quickly walked to the entrance of the Beijing Building and, unsurprisingly, were stopped by security.
"No takeout is allowed inside the building. Put your takeout on the shelf over there and call the person who ordered it to come down and get it."
The double-headed ogre security guard, twice the size of Liu Zheng, pointed to a shelf not far away, which was full of various takeout boxes.
As a race known for being shabby and vulgar, this double-headed ogre security guard looked surprisingly decent.
Not only was his uniform clean and crisp, but his exposed skin also showed none of the usual ogre ulcers, pustules, or pimples, and he didn't even have any odor.
However, despite his tone being relatively friendly, his attitude was firm, and his huge body completely blocked Liu Zheng's path.
"Is it a rule that wearing a delivery uniform means I must be delivering food?"
Liu Zheng said, looking up.
"Then what's with the takeout box on your back?"
The double-headed ogre pointed at the Legendary Takeout Box on his back.
"Since I'm cosplaying, I had to go all out, right?"
He said matter-of-factly.
"Haha. I advise you not to test my patience, or when I get angry, even I get scared."
The other head of the double-headed ogre said.
"It's a misunderstanding. This is my client, and I'm taking him to my office to discuss business."
The Golden Beetle quickly interjected.
"Business? What business?"
The double-headed ogre asked.
"It's a trade secret. Do you want to know? If you want to know, sign a confidentiality agreement first. If the content leaks, you'll pay double."
Liu Zheng said.
"Do you take me for an idiot?"
The double-headed ogre looked at him as if he were a fool.
Who would sign such a contract?
"Confidentiality fee of ten thousand bucks."
Liu Zheng said calmly.
"You're giving it to me?"
"Yes, I'm giving it to you."
He nodded.
"Is there such a good deal, like a pie falling from the sky?"
The double-headed ogre was a bit incredulous.
"You ignorant fellow. If you get out more, you'll find not only pies can fall from the sky, but also gold."
He smiled.
"Idiot, he's bribing you."
The other head of the double-headed ogre spoke up.
This head was obviously much smarter than the other.
"That's right."
Liu Zheng admitted bluntly.
"If you don't accept, I'll come back next time, and the confidentiality fee will be tenfold. But of course, you won't be the one signing the contract then."
"Why?"
The double-headed ogre asked instinctively.
"Because your brother is smart. With such a clever mind, he must be making a lot of money, right?"
He said in a mocking tone.
"He's not making a dime. If it weren't for his constantly playing smart and making investments while I'm asleep, I wouldn't be reduced to working as a security guard."
At this, the double-headed ogre became furious.
With two heads, one had a Magic Talent, the other had brains.
The Magic Head wasn't very bright, but his intelligence was at normal human level. As long as he honestly used his Magic Talent to earn money, he wouldn't be fabulously rich, but buying a house and car wouldn't be a problem.
But every time he saved some money, it would be gambled away by the Smart Head, leaving nothing.
Now he did have a house and car, but the house was a rented basement, and the car was the property patrol vehicle.
"It's just a temporary market correction. As long as we boldly increase our positions, we'll make a fortune when the bull market comes."
The Smart Head insisted righteously.
"Shut up!"
The Magic Head angrily punched him.
"Ah!"
Both heads cried out in pain.
When they were awake, they shared sensations.
"If you say another word, you'll be eating okra stewed zucchini for the next month."
The Magic Head threatened.
He had more control over the body than the Smart Head, and the latter hated eating slimy food the most.
"Mmm!"
The Smart Head quickly covered his own mouth with his left hand.
"I'm willing to sign the contract."
The Magic Head said to Liu Zheng.
Ten thousand bucks would be enough to rent a decent apartment.
To maintain appearances and avoid getting fired, the Magic Head had to spend a significant portion of his low salary on image management, buying skincare products and medication.
Once he moved into an apartment, he could at least save a large sum on medicine.
"Good, Manager Zhong, you can sign it with him later."
Liu Zheng handed ten thousand bucks to the Golden Beetle.
"Alright, Mr. Liu."
The Golden Beetle said respectfully.
He had a feeling he was about to get a new patron.
"Why not now?"
The double-headed ogre was somewhat dissatisfied.
"Because I'm busy now. The confidentiality fee is now twenty thousand, and if you say another word, it decreases by ten thousand."
Liu Zheng stuffed another ten thousand into the Golden Beetle's pocket.
"Mmmph!"
The Magic Head quickly covered his mouth with his right hand.
"Let's go."
He motioned to the Golden Beetle with a nod.
"This way, Mr. Liu, please."
The Golden Beetle quickly led him through the turnstile and into the elevator.
Once in the elevator, Liu Zheng unhesitatingly pressed the button for the 60th floor.
The Golden Beetle pressed the button for the 62nd floor, then silently stood aside.
"By the way, why aren't there any elevator operators?"
He initiated a conversation topic.
"Ah, the Beijing Building never had elevator operators."
The Golden Beetle replied.
"I see."
