“I don’t know. She’s been out at dinner every single night recently. She even told me not to schedule her for overtime because of it,” Jessica said offhandedly, but that made Wesley’s frown deepen.
Wesley nodded. “I see. Thanks.”
“No problem,” Jessica said with a slight shake of her head.
During the subsequent consultations, Wesley couldn’t help but be distracted, his thoughts constantly drifting to Sana. Noticing Wesley was clearly distracted, Jessica soon took her leave.
After seeing her off, Wesley did something he almost never did–he closed up the clinic early and left.
He drove aimlessly through the streets, lost in thought, until he suddenly realized he’d ended up outside Sana’s apartmentplex.
Wesley pulled over by the curb and sighed to himself, ‘Since I’m already here, I might as well wait. Maybe she’lle back soon.‘ Besides, he wanted to ask her directly about all those dinners Jessica had mentioned.
And as fate would have it, today, Sana had gone on another blind date. Her date waspletely smitten with her, and even after she politely turned him down over dinner, he stubbornly pleaded for another chance and insisted on seeing her home.
No matter how many times Sana refused, he wouldn’t give up. Not wanting to embarrass the matchmaker, she finally gave in and let him take her home.
After over half an hour of awkward small talk, they finally arrived at her apartmentplex.
Sana practically jumped out of the car, eager to get away. But as she looked up, she saw Wesley standing near! grave as he red at her. For a split second, Sana froze in shock, thinking, ‘What’s he doing here?‘
Just then, her blind date came running after her, still clutching the bouquet. “Sana, you forgot your flowers.b” /b

She heard the anger simmering beneath his words, her heart pounding as she struggled to think of a reply. At that exact moment. her unfortunate date stepped in.
Her blind date said, “Hey, what do you think you’re doing? Let go of Sana right nowi!/i”
“Get out of here. This doesn’t concern you,” Wesley snapped curtly and grabbed Sana’s arm to pull her away, only to be blocked by her blind date.
“No way. I can’t just stand by and let you take Sana away like this.”
Hearing that, Wesley red at him. Seizing the moment while the two were locked in confrontation, Sana yanked her arm free from Wesley’s grip and bolted, not daring to look back.
“Sana!” Wesley called out.
