“Meatball soup, wow. It has meat, breadcrumbs, and broth. Mr. Maddox, you’ve got a real knack for pairing, huh?” Raymond picked up the fallen menu and said in approval.

“Thanks,” Connor smiled softly and turned to Sabrina, looking for praise. “Sabrina, I didn’t let you down, did I?”

“Not at all. You were great,” Sabrina praised him freely. As she spoke, she reached up, grabbed his tie, and pulled him down to kiss him.

Connor’s eyes crinkled with a grin, happiness radiating from him.

The viewers watching the live stream went totally wild.

[Is this something I’m allowed to see?]

    [Ah. Sabrina’s so badass!]

[I’m calling it. ConBrina is the second best ship ever.]

    [Agreed.]

    [Hard to disagree.]

[No, why’d the camera move away? I want to keep watching Sabrina.]

[Camera guy, get with the program.]

[Exactly. What’s an adult like me not allowed to watch?]

    [Obsessed with this cougar rtionship!]

While the viewers were going crazy, Raymond quickly gestured for the camera operator to move the camera away. Then he cleared his throat to remind Sabrina and Connor to watch the asion.

“Uh–huh. Sabrina let go calmly and apologized, “Sorry, I forgot we were live.

Connor gave Raymond a woeful look. He thought, ‘Couldn’t he just have moved the camera? Why did he have to speak up? It has been so long since I got a kiss from Sabrina that she initiated.

Raymond pretended not to see. He put on a serious face and said, “We’ll let it go this time, but no more next time. Our show is very family–friendly.”

Lillian, who had just smoothed things over with Chase and was walking back with her arm through his, let out augh when she heard that.

Raymond gave the little troublemaker a helpless look. Feeling worn out, he waved Brian over.

“Good luck,” Jessica said, her eyes still crinkling with a smile. She spoke up to encourage Brian when she heard Raymond call him.

“Okay, Jessi, don’t worry.” Brian didn’t say much. He just looked deeply at Jessica and strode over to the table. He picked up a dart, flicked his wrist, and threw it.

“Whoa, barbecued whole cow!” Lillian couldn’t help eximing when she saw the name on the fallen menu.

She was dying to try that barbecued whole cow too. Just thinking about it, she couldn’t help giving Chase a mournful look.

Chase felt all awkward under her gaze, so he turned his head a little and muttered, “Fine, I’ll go swap some for youter.” He thought, ‘Will you just stop looking so mournful? It looks like I’m mistreating you or something.

“Promise you’ll keep your word. Let’s go ask Jessi if she wants some milkshaketer and see if that works,” Lillian said, already looking eager.

“Whatever,” Chase replied, not really caring much about food.

While Lillian and Chase were figuring out how to swap for something better, in front of the dartboard, Brian had already thrown his remaining two darts. Thinking about Jessica’s preferences, he’d aimed for two dishes that were sure to whet her appetite–Pasta Fredda and

    yogurt.

Watching that, Lillian thought maybe she could swap a pizza instead. After struggling for a bit, she decided to try both options.

As soon as Brian finished, it was finally Spencer’s turn. He was thest contestant.

Spencer stood there holding his dart, staring at the rapidly spinning dartboard nearby, and tossed it tentatively.

The dart grazed the edge of the artboard and flew right past.

It was the first time a contestant had missedpletely.

The live viewers didn’t hold back, letting out a chorus of boos.

    [This guy’s no good.]

[Doesn’t look like he knows how to y.)

[Not “looks like“. He definitely doesn’t. He’s probably gonna lose this game.]

[Shut up! Mr. Hale isn’t gonna lose.]
