This Doctor Is Too Wealthy
Chapter 379: A "zila" sound was heard.
CHAPTER 379: A "ZILA" SOUND WAS HEARD.
Cao Binghe was anxious, yelling as he tried to squeeze his way in.
Du Heng shook his head with a wry smile. What a bizarre incident to run into right after arriving.
However, he immediately followed Cao Binghe, pushing into the crowd with him. After getting through two layers of people, he saw that the young man was struggling and couldn’t push any further, so Du Heng volunteered to take the lead.
But there were too many people. The onlookers were unwilling to let outsiders squeeze in. By the time Du Heng reached the doorway, he was completely stuck outside the final human wall.
It’s really baffling, Du Heng thought. They all came to see a doctor, but the moment they heard about indecent behavior, every single one of them seemed to gain immense strength. Even with my physique, I can’t budge these patients.
Seeing no way through the doorway, Du Heng had a flash of inspiration. He reached his hand through a gap in the crowd, grabbed a tiny pinch of flesh on the man blocking the door from the other side, and twisted it sharply a full 360 degrees.
"OUCH~~ OOOH~~~ DAMN IT! Which bastard did that?!"
The man roared in pain, his eyes glaring furiously.
But as the man turned to look behind him, the slight shift in his position created an opening. Du Heng immediately thrust his hand in, secured a foothold, and then, with a push from Cao Binghe behind him, successfully slipped into the office.
"You, with your white hair and white gown! It makes it convenient for you to behave indecently, doesn’t it? You must give me an explanation today!"
At the very front, a middle-aged man with somewhat sunken eyes was aggressively pointing his finger, almost jabbing it into the old man’s face. Beside the furious man stood a bewildered woman, cautiously watching everything.
Du Heng had seen photos of Lan Changhua before, so he recognized at first glance that the pale-faced old man before him was Professor Lan Changhua.
He looks a bit older in person than in the website photos, with more wrinkles on his face, Du Heng noted.
Hearing the man’s accusation, a female doctor beside Lan Changhua couldn’t stand it anymore and retorted loudly, "That’s nonsense! When we did the check-up for your wife, there was a female doctor and a female nurse present. And your wife has breast cancer; we performed a normal check-up. How is that behaving indecently?"
The female doctor was very young, likely one of Lan Changhua’s students.
But despite her youth, this girl spoke like a Gatling gun, her words sharp and rapid, giving the man no chance to refute her once she started.
"Let everyone judge! Your wife has breast cancer. When she came last time, we recommended surgery, but you insisted on conservative treatment. Now that it has spread, you’re here making a scene, is that it?"
After the female doctor finished, another male doctor beside her quickly chimed in, "Exactly, exactly!"
The man pointed his finger at the female doctor again. "Don’t change the subject! I’m ****ing telling you, you were behaving indecently!"
"It was a normal check-up! Where was the indecent behavior? I think you’re just deliberately causing trouble!" The female doctor didn’t yield an inch, directly firing back.
The man appeared even more enraged. Ignoring the woman beside him tugging at his arm, he roared, "A check-up is a check-up, but what was your hand doing? Feeling around once might be one thing, but you ****ing lifted it upwards too! If that isn’t indecent behavior, what is? You must give me an explanation today, you pack of beasts in white gowns!"
As Du Heng and Cao Binghe squeezed in, the man felt the pressure from behind and quickly shifted the satchel on his body to the front, clutching it tightly.
He’s probably got money in there,
Du Heng guessed, or he wouldn’t be so protective of it.
Seeing two colleagues, one of them Cao Binghe, appear behind the man, the female doctor grew bolder, her voice rising. "You’re talking nonsense! When performing a check-up, do we use our feet instead of our hands? And don’t project your own filthy thoughts onto others!"
The female doctor gestured towards the cowering woman. "Is it because you see your wife’s tumor spreading that you’re lashing out in shame and anger, trying to find an excuse to shirk responsibility? We told you last time that it needed to be completely removed, but you disagreed and did everything to prevent it. Now that it has spread, you’re starting to panic? And why didn’t you accuse us of indecent behavior during the last check-up? I think you’re just being unreasonable and trying to find an excuse to blame us!"
The man pointed at the female doctor, his teeth clenched. "Fine, fine! I refuse to believe there’s nowhere to get justice! You just wait!"
With that, he turned, grabbed the woman beside him, and said, "Let’s go!"
"An upright person fears no crooked shadows! Go wherever you want; see who’ll even listen to you!"
Was the female doctor wrong? No. But Du Heng really couldn’t stand women who talked so much, always needing to have the upper hand, constantly maintaining an air of superiority. What’s wrong with them?
Before he could finish that thought, the man who had just turned around let go of the woman’s hand, fumbled in the bag he was clutching, and seemed to pull something out, thrusting it forward.
When the female doctor saw clearly what was in the man’s hand, she stumbled backward in terror, letting out a scream, "AH!"
But the man was right by the desk, barely a step away from her. Where could she retreat?
However, her retreat bought Professor Lan Changhua, who was beside her, a precious moment.
Professor Lan Changhua instinctively threw out an arm, trying to block the man and the object in his hand.
But with a sharp CRACKLE, Professor Lan Changhua convulsed and collapsed.
Du Heng and Cao Binghe were behind the man and couldn’t clearly see his actions.
When they saw the man turn, they thought he was about to argue with the female doctor again.
But by the time they saw the man suddenly thrust his arm forward and heard the female doctor’s scream, it was already a fraction too late.
Just as Du Heng lunged forward and grabbed the man’s arm, they also heard that sharp CRACKLE.
When they looked again, the object in the man’s hand was already pressed against Professor Lan Changhua’s arm.
An electric baton?!!! How could he have something like that? Du Heng thought, stunned.
Before Du Heng could fully process his shock, Professor Lan Changhua hit the ground.
Du Heng’s heart clenched. Professor Lan Changhua is seventy years old! That electric baton could seriously injure him. Please, don’t let him have heart disease or a heart stent, or this will be a disaster!
His mind raced, but his grip on the man’s arm didn’t slacken.
Seeing the electric baton still moving towards the female doctor, Du Heng yanked the captured arm backward, simultaneously wedging his other hand under the man’s armpit and then thrusting upward forcefully.
Then came the thud of the electric baton hitting the floor, and the man cried out in pain, clutching his shoulder as he crumpled to the ground.
The system’s previous reward had given Du Heng the ability of Blind Push Bone Shattering. By analogy, however, he had also figured out techniques like dislocating joints.
When it came to understanding human bones and joints, Du Heng could now be considered an expert—a mastery level expert, at that.
Dislocating a thigh might require more strength than I have, he mused, but dislocating an arm, if you find the right angle, is just a quick maneuver.
Hearing the man’s agonized wails, the crowd of people in the hospital room instinctively took a step back, staring in amazement at the young man at the front.
Even Cao Binghe froze for a moment, momentarily forgetting about the fallen Professor Lan Changhua.
