"Blood Demon?" Su Youyi was not clear about her actual name and could thus only address her so for the time being.

"Indeed, I am the Blood Demon, but I prefer the name this girl has given me, Xue Youyou." The seemingly slender black-haired girl sat gracefully like a lady from a noble family, holding in her hands a book with an illegible title that appeared somewhat ethereal.

At this moment, Xue Youyou was sizing up Su Youyi. Although it was Su Youyi's first time meeting her, it was not Xue Youyou's first encounter with Su Youyi. After all, Xue Youyou shared a symbiotic relationship with Liu Rouxin, so everything Liu Rouxin could see, she could also see.

"I heard from Sister Liu that you seem to be unable to communicate with anyone other than her?" Since Su Youyi felt not the slightest hostility from Xue Youyou, she did not mind chatting with her for a while, and she was also curious about the Blood Demon herself.

She had previously heard Liu Rouxin discuss this symbiotic Blood Demon that had always been in her company, simply conversing with just Liu Rouxin. Why, then, did she come out now?

"This girl, due to her experiences since childhood as well as my presence, has developed a special kind of sentiment towards Blood Demons, which is why she is so interested in seeing other Blood Demons. However, not all Blood Demons are like me."

Xue Youyou leaned on one hand resting on the table while rubbing her temples with the other, seemingly helplessly resigned to Liu Rouxin's attitude.

Su Youyi turned to look at the sleeping Liu Rouxin, pondering if Liu Rouxin, too, had something she wanted to protect?

"Fortunately, Xu Yi and those old fellows were quite capable. After discovering the situation, they acted swiftly to clean up the entire atmosphere of the Blood Control Sect, and no one mentioned that incident again, although still no one wanted to befriend her."

"But isn't the Blood Control Sect known as the most combative among all the super forces? Why would they be so averse to slaughter?" Su Youyi suddenly interjected.

The Blood Control Sect's disciples had killed more people than those of any other super force, so why were they so strict with their Chief?

"While that is true, there is one thing you've misunderstood," Xue Youyou held up a finger as she continued, "The Blood Control Sect is indeed fond of killing and fighting, but apart from cultivation technique reasons, their fundamental goal is to protect their personal Dao. To kill for the Dao, to fight for the Dao; in the end, everything is for the pursuit of the Dao!
