Threads of the Soul
Chapter 309: Thunderstruck
"I have a feeling that the children you'd give me would be much better than the rest of them. So what do you say Sparkles?"
The lecherous man grinned with a hungry look in his eyes, eyes that could not keep to themselves as they looked over Astra's shapely figure as if she was nothing more than a piece of meat for him to take a bite out of.
In response to his proposal, Astra smiled softly. It took actual effort for her to shift her usually impassive face into a smile that he would recognise, rather than the real smiles that Seth was used to and could identify without her trying.
With that 'retail worker' smile plastered across her face, and nothing but an emotionless chill in her eyes as if she was disregarding a corpse in front of her with nothing but pure apathy, Astra raised her hand,
She held it out, as if she was asking for him to take her hand, and spoke softly in a warm tone with a slight hint of condescension, as if she was speaking to an idiotic child, and did so without breaking her smile.
"I would rather gouge out my own womb and eat it than let your filthy, pathetic excuse for a dick anywhere near me, never mind even consider carrying your child. Truly, of all the things I have seen and been through, nothing makes me want to puke more than the thought of having any sort of relations with you."
Astra tilted her head to the side, letting out a soft chirping laugh as she widened her smile, before a bolt of lightning shot from her palm. The pretty boys bright blue eyes widened in surprise, the jet-stream beneath him flaring up as he tried to rise out of the path of the Lightning.
Even with his efforts, he let out a grunt of pain as the lightning struck his leg and sent him spinning. He quickly steadied himself and looked down at the scorch mark on his armour, which seemed far too low for a shot aimed at his chest or unprotected head.
He mentally traced his path through the sky and reverse engineered exactly where she had been aiming for, only for his pretty face to twist into an ugly expression of rage. If he hadn't moved, she would have hit him directly in the crotch.
"YOU FUCKING BITCH!"
It might not have hurt him now, hell even after he transformed back it might not have resulted in any serious damage. But it was an attack on his man hood, on the most important thing in his life.
If anything had happened to it, there was no point in living! If he couldn't enjoy the comfort of a woman and spread his seed, why continue on this earth and keep survivig? The joy he brought to his seven different concubines would be ruined!
What use were concubines when you couldn't use them?!
No... even if nothing happened to it, it was simply a matter of principle. Of pride. Not to mention the fact that, after thinking about his manhood being melted by lightning, he wasn't exactly thinking logically on whether or not he was actually injured.
The threat of becoming a eunuch would do that to many men.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that. My finger just slipped, I promise."
"Slipped?! You Fucking- You did that on purpose! You know, just for that, I'm gonna make sure to keep you alive and help you learn your place. By the end of it, you'll either be kneeling at my feet or begging for death, but not until after I've pumped a few babies out of you.
Maybe that way, you'll understand where you-"
He let out a sharp yelp, dodging to the side this time and making sure to swing his hips out first, making a C shape with his body as he swerved the lightning bolt that streaked past, aiming for his crotch once more.
"Oopsie, My finger slipped again. How does that keep happening? I guess that's what happens when they give these powers to such a silly, little woman."
The flaming man grit his teeth so hard they were nearly cracking and smashing into dust. A haze of heat generated around his head, as if his radiating his overwhelming rage, before his head burst into flames once more.
His handsome face was incinerated in a moment, his flesh melting away until just the fire wrapped skull remained once more.
The skull's jaw snapped open, letting loose and inhuman screech of rage, before he shot towards her like a guided missile, leaving a burning trail in his wake.
He pulled back his fist, launching a wild punch towards Astra's smirking face, instead of attacking with his fire this time.
She quickly raised her arm, blocking the punch and letting her ferrofluid absorb the impact, but he uncurled his fist and grabbed her wrist instead. For hands of nothing but bone and flame, they had a surprisngly tight and firm grip as well as an unsurprisngly hot grasp.
His other hand latched onto her throat, forcing her backwards as the plume of fire still burst from his feet, shooting the both of them towards the ground.
"Don't worry, I won't touch that face of yours. I want to keep you nice and pretty, but I can't see the same for the rest of-"
He was quickly cut off as Astra rammed her knee into his crotch, bending the dome shaped codpiece inwards from the sheer force. With her free hand, lacking the room to swing it properly. Astra simply dropped her sword and let it fall before jamming her thumb right into his eye socket.
It was just a shame there were no eyes for her to gouge out, but the hollow skull made for the perfect handhold.
Withstanding the burning pain in her hand Astra kept a tight grip on his skull, flipped them over just before they hit the ground, and slammed the flaming skeleton down. She forced him into the dirt as they dug a deep rut through the dirt as it slowed their momentum.
As they dragged through the dirt, Astra's knee slammed into his bent codpiece over and over, warping the metal of his armour more and more with every blow, to the point that it was resembling a bowl more than anything else.
If he transformed back before he got it fixed, then he could say goodbye to his little friend and could instead say hello to some crushed meat paste between his legs.
A stone in the dirt acted like a speed bump, throwing them into the air and causing them to lose their grips on each other as they flew in different directions, losing each other in the crowd of bodies.
Their crash landing had put them right in the middle of the chaotic battlefield. And unfortunately for Astra, she had ended up closer to the enemies side.
She had barely landed, laying on the ground in a crumpled heap, before someone was grabbing her hair and yanking it back to lift her head. For some reason, perhaps it was the fact that her hair was already a mess, or perhaps that there was only one person that she currently wanted pulling her hair.
Someone doing that in the middle of a battle kind of set her off.
She grabbed the blade of the sword that was swinging towards her throat, sending a few hundred thousand volts through it and turning the person on the other end of the sword to nothing more than a charred pile of blackened flesh.
The body hit the ground behind her, a trail of smoke curling off of it, as Astra quickly clambered to her feet.
There were enemies all around her, keeping their distance for now as they glanced warily at the smouldering corpse of their companion, but even with the deadly nature of her touch, they were quickly regaining their bravery and slowly closing in on her.
As if to make matters worse, her annoying new admirer quickly appeared in the sky above her, hovering there like a pesky firefly just waiting to be zapped. So I guess that would make her the bug zapper.
Reducing the flames to reveal his smug, handsome face once more, he gestured around him towards the enemies that surrounded her on all sides.
"Well well... Looks like you've landed yourself in quite the pickle. If you had just taken my offer, you wouldn't have to be torn apart by so many men. Maybe that will teach you to remember your place, and your manners."
Astra smirked up at him, rolling her neck slightly before spitting blood onto the ground. She wiped her lips with her fingers, and chuckled softly when she glanced at the blood on her finger tips, before looking up at the firefly again.
"And what makes you so sure that I can't beat all of these clowns, then go back to breaking your pathetic excuse for a dick?"
The firefly growled lowly, grinding his teeth, but tried his best to keep his composure despite his fiery temper starting to rise again.
"Quit acting tough. You might be able to beat some of them, but you can't last against all of us. Thanks to all those little videos your heretic people were so eager to post and share, we were able to learn all about the powers of your people.
Especially the popular ones like you.
We know that you need a power source to fuel your powers, and our little battle has been burning through your reserves. How long do you think you can go before you finally run out, hmm?
Do you expect there to be a nice convenient little generator hiding in a bush for you to power up on? News flash you ungrateful bitch. There's nothing."
"You got one thing right, I do need a power source. But whoever said I needed to rely on a generator?
Nature has its own sources of electricity. I could drain your bodies for some juice, but I'd rather go to the best source of all."
Astra slowly raised her hand, pointing her palm to the skies above, as a deep rolling rumble of thunder echoed from the blanket of black clouds, that were briefly illuminated by a brief flash of light from within.
